There, fixed - RoroCo, on 07/02/2009, -3/+33Why are bears not the number one threat?
- inactive, on 07/04/2009, -1/+23Portuguese Man of War = alien
- pheezus, on 07/04/2009, -2/+20The Portuguese Man O'War is not a jellyfish. Five seconds in wikipedia.
"They are commonly but erroneously thought of and referred to as a jellyfish. In fact, a Portuguese Man O' War is not a single animal, but rather a siphonophore – a colony of four kinds of minute, highly modified individuals, which are specialized polyps and medusoids."
Duh! - RaulMuadDib, on 07/04/2009, -0/+18Bears are soulless, godless, rampaging killing machines
- bluenile, on 07/02/2009, -1/+14summer, winter, spring, autumn, rain whatever the season i did still avoid them all, not like they are appetizing in other seasons.
- inactive, on 07/04/2009, -0/+10and that is enough in itself to quadruple my fear of them.
- inactive, on 07/04/2009, -0/+7They can smell the menstruation...
- davdev, on 07/04/2009, -0/+7In other words there are lots of animals in Australia that can kill your ass.
- fourwunfive, on 07/04/2009, -1/+7thank god i read this article because i was gonna go looking for these animals this summer. guess i'll have to wait until fall.
- BedPost, on 07/04/2009, -1/+6"Would you believe that the number one creature on the list is only 2 to 4 inches long and weighing about an ounce?"
Uhm. My penis is an animal? - cptcliche, on 07/04/2009, -0/+5What kind of bear is best?
- ShingoEX, on 07/04/2009, -1/+5Dugg down for being an ass.

- FatGuyLilCoat, on 07/04/2009, -0/+3Dugg for the BABES pics to the right of the article. That chick has tremendous breasts. "Save image as..."
- Hellahulla, on 07/04/2009, -1/+3Bears hardly kill anybody really. That said neither do great whites ... article is a bit sucky and seems to have been cobbled together in a rush with no real research being done.
- NotSarcasm, on 07/04/2009, -1/+3I've recently come to the conclusion that humans do not belong in the ocean, at all.
- inactive, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2Wow a list of a bunch of animals i've already seen before. (mostly). Mosquitos, scorpions, sharks! Oh My!
- pegothejerk, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2I was "stug" once. Had to get a bunch of blood tests when I got back from T.J. to make sure she didn't give me anything.
- AmericanGunner, on 07/04/2009, -0/+2Thats a ridiculous question.
- mparker21311, on 07/04/2009, -1/+3obligatory DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY
- sharkydog, on 07/04/2009, -1/+3Your inability to spell Chupacabra.
- netwraythe, on 07/04/2009, -1/+2 . . . and THIS is why I don't swim in the ocean, or anywhere without chlorine.
- nevaseez, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1no west nile? did you forget about that pandemic already? :)
FIGHT THE BITE! - McMagic, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Whats more, the majority of these animals are indigenous to Australia or its surrounding ocean, which is experiencing WINTER right now, not summer. Thats how our planet works.
This is a horribly written post, I pretty sure a sixth grader with wikipedia could do about 100 times better. - McMagic, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1from the comments::
"These informations are valuable. All the people can scape to attack pay attention about the kind ocean they will be diving. These animals are very dangerous. But it's requeride to find the antidotes for these venom, principally to the biologists and researchers always diving.
The nature what it have of beautiful also have of scary. "
LOLWUT? - jtinz, on 07/04/2009, -2/+3Ticks can infect you with deadly diseases and present a higher danger to most of us.
- basselope, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1Mildly interesting.
Not that I necessarily disagree with the choices, but I'm surprised there was no mention of the iracongi jelly; low on the body count, but almost undetectable and can easily cause death - indirectly or not. - jayrok, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1They forget to mention scorned cougars after you leave them following a night of binge drinking.
- rtypo, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1
- BurgGuy, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1According to Fla. Mus of Nat. Hist, you're over 300 times more likely to be killed by deer than sharks in the USA.

- kylepalko, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Do you people even read the article before you Digg it?
- eibiee, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Because I'm most definitely gonna hang with all of those animals during the remainder of the year!
- FlaNative, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1This should have made the list for any male...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candiru
http://www.wemjournal.org/wmsonline/?request=get-a ... - Spinducky08, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Yeah, I'm pretty sure I sprayed the yard for all these before my guests come to the BBQ.
- frascellyboy273, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1this article makes me scared to go outside!
- Volath, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1The box jellyfish description is a little off. It's the adults that don't release poison on touch, the young ones do. That's what makes them so *****' dangerous. The young ones are are very small, translucent, and can easily kill a person because on touch it fires off all of it's poison.
- LoudMusic, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1I think they want us to stay out of the water.
- dsenman, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Cool, I guess it's okay to go play with the grizzly bears!
- buckrogers1965, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1Coconuts kill more people than anything on that list.
- noumuon, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1this article isn't about the animals that kill people the most. it's just about animals that could kill you.
- MacBandit, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1Nope only 16 reported cases in all of Oregon last year with a sharp decline year over year.
No definitely not from Madagascar. Also I'm not saying there aren't predators and other things to watch out for just that they weren't on the list so I must be safe. - FatGuyLilCoat, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1Note: They've changed. They were pics of Denise Milani.
- chewyfett, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1who the ***** decided it was standard to start placing the item description BELOW the ***** item!? come on now, really? o'rly?
- christoast, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1Yeah, I realize it's an 'a' not an 'o,' it's an easy mistake to make. It's just that it's not nearly as bad a crime as that profoundly bad joke.
- TheHungerArtist, on 07/05/2009, -0/+1he's obviously a native of Madagascar
- Jakerzon, on 07/04/2009, -0/+1This article is very poorly written. I must bury.
