The strangest thing about Conspiracies, is you have folks that think just because you don't have all the facts, that a conspiracy didn't happen.
The people with the most to gain, tell you the simple answer, with poorly constructed excuses, and these stories end up being the facts. How many incidents, attacks on the US and assassinations that we read about in history end up being the part of a conspiracy, and resulted in some group getting more power as a reward? Like most assassinations and provocations for war -- right?
I suppose when Brutus and the Senate helped kill Julius Caesar, they admitted it and didn't throw out a lot of false rumors. I'm sure, even back then, they had some shills throwing in the "Big Foot helped kill Julius Caesar" comments. Yes, brilliant -- there are no conspiracies. Everything happens just the way we are told it does. - VitriolAndAngst, on 02/18/2008, -1/+11I don't have enough detail on this document to figure out whether it makes sense. It doesn't make sense in a general sense, so I suspect that it is bogus -- but I don't have enough info to go on.
It's clear to all but the most gullible, that Oswald could not have acted alone -- because how could he have made sure someone stole Kennedy's brain? I know that anti-Conspiracy theorist folks think that they are so damn reasonable because THEY don't believe in Conspiracies -- so they just reject or forget inconvenient details. You couldn't pass the Warren Commission report on an episode of CSI -- it's just too fake.
There was another document, that was released automatically under the Freedom of Information Act. It was from the government (so it was vetted), and it described a Cuban Mafia hit attempt on Kennedy three days before his assassination in Florida.
Now, the confusion has always been; was it the mob, the Cubans, the CIA, the FBI, or some other group. The best theory I've seen so far was that it was all three. There is only one person with a connection to all three groups, but I'll let you discover that on your own -- because you will clearly reject this conclusion unless you look at the evidence first.
Halderman -- I think that was the guy tried in civil court AND FOUND GUILTY, of being involved in the JFK assassination. Yeah, sounds like a conspiracy -- so does everything else with inconvenient facts -- go look it up. E. Howard Hunt -- probably also involved. The confluence of all interests probably goes right back to the Bay of Pigs. Do a bit of research on "Operation Zappatta." The Cuban Mafia was shut down by Castro, and they and the folks in the US Government they made rich, were using well-meaning Cuban nationals to do dirty work for them. Which family lost a lot of money, and to this day has pushed for embargoes of Cuba? Which family is actually helping to protect Cuban terrorists? Which group also has ties to the CIA -- perhaps in a very high position of command? Who could arrange for the Presidents body to go missing with the Secret Service and FBI involved? Who could have made sure that the Secret Service "stood down" -- if you notice, there were open windows, unsealed sewer caps, and no guards positioned on Kennedy's convertible, and this is significant because he had an attempt on his life 3 days before.

We were at a tense footing with Russia at that time, and I think it's plausible that Kennedy acted like he was in charge, to keep the Russians from thinking that he was not in control of his military or clandestine organizations. You'll note that he didn't send air support, or lend any aide to the operation -- not something you would do if you planned it.
The Cubans who were in that operation, would have felt very betrayed. There was an oil company hurt by Castro's takeover of Cuba, and they were assisting in the operation.
So we have Cuban anti-Castro revolutionaries.
We have an oil man.
We have someone who was in the CIA and has access to the Secret Service -- someone then, who is also highly placed politically.
Someone who has operations in Florida and Texas.
And we have someone who can get the FBI to chase their tails while they set up a phony investigation with the Warren Commission -- you know, someone who has also helped Arlen Specter's career and can make him wag his tail.
Only one person fits all those categories. Oh, and that person was described as flying from Texas with Richard M. Nixon to meet with Hoover of the FBI in a CIA report. That would be a person who could get Hoover to not investigate. At the time, they claimed there was another person in the CIA with that name.
The confusion has been, all these years, that every conspiracy named a different group involved. Like blind men describing an elephant. There is only one person I know of in the United States who fits this profile. Oh, and he has the ex-shah of Iran's family living next door, and is very eager to invade that country and re-install an old oil buddy.

It is essentially random. Amazing, but true.
"Back and to the left," works as a nice catchline in a film, but it has no basis whatsoever in the physics of the case.
Generally I tend to take the word of the man who studied it most close up over Bill Hicks.
