- neuen, on 07/25/2008, -1/+56getting from one building to another is so much easier today
- Chairboy, on 07/25/2008, -3/+43Walked Over The Towers was an inside job.
WAKE UP STEEPLE!!!1!!eleventy!!1!! - znicket, on 07/25/2008, -0/+36I imagine he shot an arrow with a fishing line attached to a rope. His friends received the arrow, pulled on the fishing line and got the rope across the divide. The rope would then be attached to the steel cable and the steel cable pulled across, somehow tightened taut and voila!
Or maybe he did it some other way. - Rocco03, on 07/25/2008, -1/+27Better luck than this guy

- SkippyDoorknob, on 07/25/2008, -0/+22There were two guys on the other tower with the cable. He shot one of them with the arrow and told the other guy that if he didn't throw the cable over, he would shoot him too.
- SRSco, on 07/25/2008, -2/+16Okay, you weren't even born during WWII, moron.
- Annix, on 07/25/2008, -0/+14"pitty" that comment wasn't.
- jamesdew, on 07/25/2008, -1/+15I watched the dark knight last night so I am imagining some kind of grappling gun
- Wade, on 07/25/2008, -0/+14Does it count if the "explosives" were jet fuel?
- xsecretfiles, on 07/25/2008, -1/+13My feet started tingling just seen that...
- thcobbs, on 07/25/2008, -0/+10The French do have very courageous people. Just look at the French Underground during WWII. Just don't look at their leadership in hopes of finding courage.
- kalpol, on 07/25/2008, -0/+9I don't think anyone appreciates how difficult this really was. Not only is he hundreds of feet in the air, probably with the wind howling, but the towers swayed as well. Both of them. Now imagine what two swaying towers did to a cable stretched between them, and imagine trying to stand on that cable.
- Th3Kyle, on 07/25/2008, -0/+9No, no, no...I'm pretty sure he used an arrow with fishing line ATTACHED to it, which he shot across to the other side. Attached to the fishing line was a ROPE which was in turn attached to the steel line that they pulled across to the other side. I hope you all see the error of your theorys.
- humanerror, on 07/25/2008, -0/+9Then later he was like, "sorry man. Here, have some fishing line"
- SteaminTmann, on 07/25/2008, -4/+13*Has*
He's still alive. He was on Opie and Anthony a couple of days ago.... - briguymaine, on 07/25/2008, -0/+9dude can wear whatever he wants. Maybe he needed the extra support for his huge balls.
- 4rp4n3t, on 07/25/2008, -2/+11Use the bow and arrow to shoot the fishing line across. Use the fishing line to pull the rope across. Use the rope to pull the cable across.
- quomen, on 07/25/2008, -0/+8He probably attached the fishing line to the arrow. He then attacked the steel line to the fishing line to pull across the divide. He used the bow and started shootin' some b-ball outside the school when a couple of guys who were up to no good, started making trouble in my neighborhood. Got in one little fight and my mom got scared, said you're moving with your Auntie and Uncle in Belair.
- jamesdew, on 07/25/2008, -1/+8No, absolutely Hiroshima and Nagasaki were two of the most terrible incidents in the world ever. But my point is that Americans seem to have this constant wounded soldier "we know how it feels you don't" attitude to being attacked.
I remember reading an interview with snoop dogg in some magazine after the London train bombings and he said (paraphrasing) "In the U.S. we deal with terrorism every day so I'm pleased we can come and share our experiences with British people" Oh we were lucky snoop dogg was there with his superior terrorism experience, what would we have done without him.
Well at least he is banned from the UK now. - inactive, on 07/25/2008, -1/+8oh *****
- Joest23, on 07/25/2008, -2/+8There is no way in hell that I'd do that. He has to be one of the bravest men who ever lived.
- linagee, on 07/25/2008, -0/+6I like bread.
- flangepiece, on 07/25/2008, -1/+7...as long as he keeps the ***** away from mine thank you very much.
- jamesdew, on 07/25/2008, -3/+9I will try not to bread.
- theculchie1, on 07/25/2008, -3/+10I'm sure they will find some way to use it as some sort of evidence to back up their latest half baked theory.
- jamesdew, on 07/25/2008, -2/+8also try this list of US terrorist attacks
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_inc ...
vs this list of UK terrorist attacks
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_inc ...
Think about how small the UK is then perhaps try re-thinking about how bad you have it. - blueskydiver76, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5Yes he does...how else would he be able to balance so well if he did not have those giant balls o steel.
- kingp, on 07/25/2008, -2/+8It's quite obvious that he and his "friends" were using this stunt to draw attention away from the fact that bombs were being planted throughout the the steel framework of the buildings!
- Azohko, on 07/25/2008, -1/+6"..And some friends.."
Wow, makes what me and my friends do seem pale in comparison. - SteaminTmann, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5Here he is:
http://manonwire.com/
Documentary is coming out... - Flashtone, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5He's gotta be high to do that!
- hauntedchippy, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5Life was a lot tougher back then
- jamesdew, on 07/25/2008, -4/+9so? It's still something terrible that happened where I live. No-one gave a ***** at the time either. The UK has also been under regular terrorist threat since guy fawkes. Ever heard of the IRA.
And unlike you (most likely) I HAVE been directly affected by terrorism. Someone put a bomb in the main swansea shopping centre. Someone also put a bomb in the small shopping centre near my house (this was about 3 years ago), I was unable to travel to college.
Also a person sent white powder to a government office where I worked at the time. I was I.T. support there and in the next room. We were not allowed to leave as there was a worry it was a biochemical attack.
Now I wasn't directly hurt by any of those incidents but they are quite scary which is the intention of terrorism. I would bet that any of those things are a damn site closer to terrorism than you have ever been. - nickbarber, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5I think that if you can walk on a tightrope across Niagra Falls, then you can wear whatever the hell you want.
- Ubergoober3, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5That guy must have unbelievable balance. Think of how windy it is that high up.
- inactive, on 07/25/2008, -0/+4 He went back and forth like 7 times, that was amazing. I remember seeing where he signed the outer edge of the tower before he went over, he drew a little picture of them with the tight rope in between.
- guitardad, on 07/25/2008, -11/+16The sight of those buildings makes me sad ...
- ivantalboys, on 07/25/2008, -1/+5Fire an arrow with the fishing line attached to it across the gap. Use the line to pull across the rope, use the rope to pull across the steel cable.
- ofenza, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5Had he waited 27 years and he could have ditched the rope to do that.
- ben162005, on 07/25/2008, -0/+4watch out...there's a road their.
- theculchie1, on 07/25/2008, -0/+4He might have gone fishing first using that big pole we can see in the picture. It would have given him enough leverage to cast into the Hudson from Tower 1. Then perhaps he hunted stray gulls with the bow and arrow. He most likely used the rope to skip with or perhaps practice knots. After that magic happened and the wire cable was in place.
- rabidbob, on 07/25/2008, -0/+4So true. Just looking at that photo gives me the ***** heebeejeebies.
- domokunt, on 07/25/2008, -0/+5So he needs a rope... what a pussy
- Goya, on 07/25/2008, -1/+4Heard this guy in an interview on the radio.. what a douche.
- snurfle, on 07/25/2008, -0/+3I think he might have tied the fishing line to the arrow, then maybe shot the arrow across, then maybe used the fishing line to pull the rope across, and then maybe used the rope to pull the cable across.
- Razster, on 07/25/2008, -2/+6Terrorist! He was the man who set it all up... We're not safe people.
- gts1983, on 07/25/2008, -4/+7i'm not sure what fishing line or a bow an arrow did to assist a 450lb steel cable?
