- btschul, on 07/15/2008, -1/+9Who the ***** cares if a boy has long hair? Why is this even an issue?
- SimonTB, on 07/14/2008, -0/+7I've been asked a lot if I'm gay or have "gender issues" because of my long hair, this is just disgusting.
- publiclurker, on 07/15/2008, -0/+5Banning a child from school may be trivial to you, but the rest of us like to be educated, and wish the same for our kids. Pity, your parents failed in that regard.
- cnycompguy, on 07/15/2008, -0/+4Unfortunately, the way our legal system works, the only legal recourse to change these arbitrary policies is a lawsuit.
- Yarmin3, on 07/15/2008, -1/+5I don't think religion or spirituality should be considered in any policies. Does a human being not have the right to let his hair do what it naturally does? Can he not shave his head because he might be mistaken as a skinhead? Does his hair disrupt his and everyone's ability to learn? The answer to all of these are no, and we don't build foot baths because of Muslim spiritual needs; the only reason we build foot baths is if their is a need to wash mud off kids' feet after recess.
- ordig, on 07/14/2008, -2/+6They should sue the ***** out of the school district. Rules like that have no place in public schools.
- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3This is why the U.S. should allow students to pick the schools they want to send their kids to and have state funding to help fund most of it like they do in Europe. Of course, the Teacher's Union would not allow that because it's a huge threat to many of their members who happen to be incompetent or lazy teachers.
- Mesmascizer, on 07/15/2008, -6/+3And people like you are the reason why we have a sue happy country over the most trivial of issues, oh ***** im sorry please don't sue me.
- Mesmascizer, on 07/15/2008, -8/+1Ok so his dad is part Native-American his mother is not at all Native-American, yet they claim it is part of upholding a part of their history? they have no doctrine reguarding hair cutting yet believe it is sacred. Hmmmm so does this fall into the same field as im spiritual but not religous? Normally i would say oposing cultural diversity is deplorable but for God's sake this is B.S!
