- hnazareth16, on 12/19/2008, -1/+561Was she drunk when she decided to sue him too?
- doublefelix, on 12/19/2008, -2/+506The frivolity of our legal system never ceases to amaze me; he should counter sue her for being a drunk, stupid, and ugly.
- souljaboytellem, on 12/19/2008, -13/+397"I WANT TO SUE THAT *****"
"On what grounds?"
"On the grounds that.....he's fat and drives a truck....and i'm on my period"
".../sigh...............I'll make some calls" - inactive, on 12/19/2008, -42/+426I welcome our new drunk driving, pedestrian slaughtering judge daughter overlords.
- ilikemazdas, on 12/19/2008, -2/+287This actually makes me feel sick. This is the first time I've heard of a case where a murderer blames the innocent. After all that had happened, wouldn’t profiting off the death of a loved one be the last thing you'd ever want to do? Hopefully, guilt and shame will ferment into a mental illness, and then maybe get hooked on meds and dive off a cliff or something. This just makes me so angry.
- Grova, on 12/19/2008, -2/+212She only served 4 months in jail? WTF!!

"My daddy is a (expletive) judge," Shelton told the nurse, referring to her father, District Juvenile Court Judge Pat Shelton, Doyle said.
Elizabeth Shelton also told a Houston police officer at the scene of the crash, "I can't be responsible for this," according to testimony. - VeryBoredNow, on 12/19/2008, -1/+185"Uh yea like Yea Becckky, I am like gonna totally sue that idiot, duuh. Like the f*cking idiot had any business on the freeway when like everyone knows how we party girll WOOOO HOOOO!!! I can't like wait till this saturday girl! PARTYYY!!! "
- darkecho, on 12/19/2008, -4/+149ha. you didn't trick me this time Onion... oh wait.. Damn, you tricked me and you weren't even involved.
- truthigator, on 12/19/2008, -4/+134I think a point people are missing is where did this woman get her mentality from?
Judge Dad.
He possibly coached her or hooked her up with the lawyer that will probobly get her off, or greatly reduce charges/sentencing time and penalties. - TheOther1, on 12/19/2008, -1/+122 1. Convicted of intoxicated manslaughter
2. Blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit
3. Sentenced to minimal term of eight years probation
4. Fined $10,000
5. Served 120 days of jail, on the weekends
6. Requesting $20,000 for totaled Lexus SUV
7. Requesting undetermined amount for mental anguish, pain and suffering
http://www.mahalo.com/Elizabeth_Shelton - LacY, on 12/19/2008, -1/+121Considering she was driving drunk and caused the death of her boyfriend, and only got 4 months jail time, I'd say he's probably already done a good job of getting her charges reduced.
- mediaspree, on 12/19/2008, -0/+83So you're saying its your fault then. LAWSUIT!
- skimikaze, on 12/19/2008, -1/+80What a bitch.
and Parenting fail. - chieflbm, on 12/19/2008, -0/+79Scumbag
- CoD4, on 12/19/2008, -3/+81seriously, who gets hit by a drunk?
- jsmith39, on 12/19/2008, -0/+75Oh sure, I was hammered... but HE didn't have auto insurance!
Give me money!! - jbpico, on 12/19/2008, -1/+704 months?!?! Dugg in hopes that the new judge will sentence her to life!!
- matthekc, on 12/19/2008, -1/+65The courts need to start rejecting really stupid lawsuits. Also, this may ruin the truck drivers life he probably has a family and not nearly enough money to deal with this crap.
- billizm, on 12/19/2008, -2/+64Only in Texas.
And I live here, actually, not far from the accident location. - daridave, on 12/19/2008, -3/+61I killed a person with a knife one year ago. I got charged for murder, but now I'm suing the company that made the knife -- I was just playing with the person, and the knife was too sharp -- so IT'S THEIR FAULT!!! /sarcasm
...seriously, what a pathetic story. - trogdor1289, on 12/19/2008, -2/+58It's his fault for not getting out of her way of course. Everyone knows that drunk drivers can't be held responsible for their actions. He should of swerved and caused a different accident using his spidey senses.
- Netizentalk, on 12/19/2008, -9/+64USA....
- brickbat, on 12/19/2008, -1/+52You left out that SHE REAR-ENDED the truck so its not like there is any doubt about whos fault it is.
- Quaterni0n, on 12/19/2008, -5/+52"My daddy is a (expletive) judge,"
Oh yeah? I can top that. I'm Rick James, bitch! - TheDude213, on 12/19/2008, -4/+51Must be nice to be spoiled rich delusional trash.
COME TO AMERICA! IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY, YOU'LL NEVER ANSWER TO ANYONE! - steech, on 12/19/2008, -3/+50I'd hit that...
- avatar28, on 12/19/2008, -0/+44I'd like to see her go in front of Judge Judy with this one.
- alpha94, on 12/19/2008, -0/+44I'm guessing the whole, driving well over the speed limit, being totally hammered and hanging your arms and head out the window MIGHT have had something to do with it.
- Thinkerofthings, on 12/19/2008, -1/+42Can't tell from the picture if she's ugly...
In case she's not however... I definitely like meeting drunk stupid chicks - Mujokan, on 12/19/2008, -0/+40 "They're just throwing everything against the wall to see if anything sticks." Maybe getting slapped back down would cure that attitude. Ideally her parole board would take into account this lack of remorse.
- Czechxican, on 12/19/2008, -2/+41This is what happens when you grow up in lala land and think that just because you could drink at the prom and not get in trouble because your daddy is a judge you're entitled to take that mentality out into the real world.
- JackSchittt, on 12/19/2008, -0/+39*insert facepalm ascii here*.
The judge needs to throw her back in jail for another four months for wasting taxpayer money and the court's time. - lsatkins, on 12/19/2008, -0/+37Hopefully this guy gets disbarred like that judge in D.C. that sued the cleaners for millions when they lost his pants.
- Bauer22, on 12/19/2008, -1/+33You know there's something wrong with our legal system when something like this doesn't get laughed out of court.
- crizco, on 12/19/2008, -1/+31What a bitch!
- lorem1000, on 12/19/2008, -0/+29for one
- inactive, on 12/19/2008, -2/+31They already live in Texas.
- Trick07, on 12/19/2008, -0/+28I can't believe the parents of Matthew McNiese are going along with this. Do they actually believe their son was killed by some truck driver and not the drunken idiot who was driving at the time?
- DeFex, on 12/19/2008, -0/+28no matter how bad the economy gets lawyers will always get money.
- lornefs, on 12/19/2008, -1/+28Dugg for not inserting that stupid facepalm thing.
- FieldAnonymouse, on 12/19/2008, -0/+27Reminds me of someone breaking into a home, and then suing the owner because he injured himself in the process.
- perogi21, on 12/19/2008, -0/+26"You madam, make me SICK!"
- animeguru, on 12/19/2008, -3/+28Drunk woman behind the wheel: Responsible for her actions.
Drunk woman in bed: _Not_ responsible for her actions regardless of consent. - TekTrixter, on 12/19/2008, -1/+25@Staticneuron, In most states even if you are rear ended at a stop light, if you are drinking and driving the accident is your fault. The idea behind it is that if you were not illegally on the road that the accident would not have happened
- bwjacket, on 12/19/2008, -3/+27So if you're a defendant in the court of this idiot's father, what chance do you think you have of getting a fair, reasonable ruling?
Doesn't he lose credibility by association? - Kosh, on 12/19/2008, -2/+25You sound depressed.
You should buy a Go-Kart. - Jaablaze, on 12/19/2008, -1/+24"Your honor her face offends me."
