- JoaoPe, on 09/03/2009, -16/+547If you zoom in this partial logo you can see the reflection of the truck driver's face when he was 20 years old. Now you use the aging software to see how he looks with 40 years. There... solved!
/CSI - grimacebrown, on 09/03/2009, -5/+489Watch this story shoot to the front page.
I have seen enough ridiculously creepy internet detectives here on Digg to expect this to be solved in less than 36 hours. - KungFuEnglish, on 09/03/2009, -6/+427Just put the pic on 4chan with "SAUCE" below it and you'll have your answer in 8.2 seconds.
- Elias1, on 09/03/2009, -1/+382The two letters are: "HE"
The font is: http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Kurt_Russell.htm
(from the Jalopnik comments) - burbankmarc, on 09/03/2009, -10/+361As a unicyclist dealing with asshat bicyclists lording their superior "second wheel" over me I say "***** you".
- ianmgull, on 09/03/2009, -17/+306As an avid cyclist who deals with asshats daily all I've to to say is:
Get'm internet. - ATL, on 09/03/2009, -3/+264Dugg for turning "Google Maps" into a verb.
- dudeman2000, on 09/03/2009, -6/+263Seriously, give this to 4chan and they will have found it before the end of today
- Rainemaker, on 09/03/2009, -3/+247Step 1: Google Maps the location;
Step 2: Cross reference geographic locals with local businesses which include letters "HE" consequitively in name via google;
Step 3: Visit websites (if available) of any and all business matching above criteria looking out for matching logo;
Step 4: If match found and if (admittedly big "if" here) the logo is proprietary, pull corporate records of proprietary company and do asset search of any/all motor-vehicles registered to the company;
Step 5: Attempt to match registered vehicle to description of hit-and-run vehicle;
Step 6: ????
Step 7: Internet Justice. - deejqu1k, on 09/03/2009, -4/+241Puts on sunglasses slowly and say something like "looks like his goose is cooked."
Then walk away slowly. - flagmaster, on 09/03/2009, -19/+255It looks like it may be a truck from this hick-ass company called AJ's Heating & Cooling. The 'company' only has 3 employees, looks like it operates out of a backyard and has a white truck. It would explain why this logo so cheaply came off, why it's hard to track and why it looks like a kindergartener did the damn logo. Links below:

- pak314, on 09/03/2009, -20/+209Given there was a ruler in the vehicle the person might have been an architect also.
- addakorn, on 09/03/2009, -2/+174This is taking way longer than expected.....
- TreatsTheBear, on 09/03/2009, -0/+154They'll have the logo, the driver's name, home address, phone number, SSN, facebook page...
- StinkyJoe, on 09/03/2009, -1/+144....naked pictures, contacts of every member of the family, his trousers...
- smacksaw, on 09/03/2009, -6/+145I dunno, but it looks like the kind of sticker that some jackass with a bunch of hoopty ***** on his jacked-up truck would have.
- wrek, on 09/03/2009, -0/+134I hope so Grimacebrown because this sort of cowardice is unforgivable.
- rpebble, on 09/03/2009, -1/+118But...it was a person killed...
Not a cat. - anth0nycurtis, on 09/03/2009, -5/+117the update said it was a GMC/Chevy truck with a bumper insert so check this little overlay I did.

That bit sounded rather hot actually. brb Google. - benmandude, on 09/03/2009, -2/+73Every boy's dream, a little bit of detective work. Let's figure this out and put the guy behind bars.
- ianmgull, on 09/03/2009, -9/+79The reality is cyclists have every right to the road as automobiles in most states. In many states it's even illegal for cyclists to ride on the sidewalk. If you don't like cyclists on the road petition your local government to build dedicated bike lanes, otherwise deal with it.
- rcflyr, on 09/03/2009, -0/+69Update (including picture of suspected vehicle):

(jpg miraculously clears up.) - drunkatgt, on 09/03/2009, -2/+68Did you just pick a random heating & cooling company out of the phonebook? I don't see a logo on either of those links you posted.
- zuiquan, on 09/03/2009, -4/+69I lol'd. Still trying to decide if I'm going to bury you or not though.
- cmtdigg, on 09/03/2009, -1/+65Hello,what's this? Was there an F up there at some time?

Also, HE could be part of a custom decal for HELLA lights.
http://www.expeditionexchange.com/hella/DSC03719.j ... - RudeTurnip, on 09/03/2009, -1/+62Chances are the logo can be seen somewhere in Google Street View.
- addakorn, on 09/03/2009, -1/+62However, she has said it to me....
And by she, I mean your wife. - anth0nycurtis, on 09/04/2009, -3/+64http://www.metalnj.com/foreskin.jpg
- octopusorgans, on 09/03/2009, -0/+58the assumption that the logo is belongs to a heating & cooling company is a very good guess, however, the letters "H" and "E" may also belong to the company's name itself, which may not have anything to do with heating and cooling. also, it may not have been a company truck at all. it could be a personal contractor. for some inexplicable reason, possibly due to the horrible font, i can't help but think it's a racing or rally group type logo, something someone had made up for personal use. i worked at a crappy local print shop for a while and i can attest to merrickx's assertion that this being a logo is not surprising whatsoever, but that doesn't offer any insight into what type of logo it is. the police would be best served by contacting all local print shops within the area and asking them to review their work order ledgers to find all of the customers who purchased vinyl orders with this font; there shouldn't be too many. i hope they catch the son-of-a-bitch soon.
- had3l, on 09/03/2009, -4/+60This thread is now about dickgirls ***** hot girls.
- Sexercise, on 09/04/2009, -0/+54Naturally what all conversation gravitates toward.
- wrek, on 09/03/2009, -3/+57from the DM Register comments page, made me laugh: "keep your eyes out for a truck with a partial yardstick on it!"
- Norse77, on 09/03/2009, -0/+51enhance....enhance....enhance
- inactive, on 09/03/2009, -4/+54i dunno why people are digging you down ssuk.
i totally just googled "dickgirl ***** real girl" - sealink, on 09/03/2009, -1/+47I think he was going through the phone book for those companies with "heating" or something in their names, using Google maps and Streetview to find their addresses and then looking for white ladder trucks at those addresses.
It's an admittedly flawed way of doing it, but is fairly good thinking when working from a distance. - Dotcommer, on 09/03/2009, -3/+49Enlarge sectors 47 - 57.
