The threat was that trucks full of radioactive stuff would be blown up near the stadiums.. Dirty-bomb sort of thing. So of course they found generic footage of blowing up a truck for the stories at the time. Since that threat is now known to have been a hoax, now this story talks about the hoaxers and of course recycles the worst footage from the previous story.

      As for why they show the exploding truck no less than three times, well, that's local news outlets for you. Sensationalistic crap.

It kind of puts in perspective all of their other investigative reports on subjects you might not be familiar with.
    I noticed the same effect when reading Consumer Reports. All of their critique seems sound and reasonable until they report on something you actually know and understand. Then their methods and conclusions are not so gospel anymore.
