:-D We really are part of America down here. Honest. - liliac, on 07/17/2008, -0/+2He saw it in the CSI TV show. They had similar suicide attempt. :)
- Surferess, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3Epic Fail!
- ryanmerket, on 07/17/2008, -0/+3Probably would have worked if he had spent the extra $2 for better balloons. Must be the story of his life...
- Ringleader, on 07/17/2008, -0/+0Hickman had a $400,000 insurance policy that would have payed double had his death been ruled accidental... so, his last act on this earth wasn't just suicide, it was fraud... (well, attempted fraud.) Back when folks thought he was murdered, his family put up a devotional website:
http://www.tomhickman.org
It's is both tragic and hilarious, primarily due to the bizarre juxtaposition of bible-thumping, car-jacking, and Red Lobster.
I know he left behind a family, this is all sad and horrible, and we're all assholes for digging this... but seriously, planning your death around a CSI rerun...? And then ***** it up...? Had he failed intentionally, it would be the highest form of performance art. - InvisibleInk, on 07/17/2008, -0/+1What if it really was a murder, made to look like an inept suicide.
- thrallie, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1Then its a really good murder. I'm sure murders happen where they can successfully make it look like a suicide. The perfect murder is possible, it's happened many times I am sure.
