- Necronomicana, on 07/06/2009, -2/+65Jeez, Digg is turning into Dailymail part 2.
- raidfibre, on 07/06/2009, -5/+50Boy, 14, meet gravity. Gravity, meet Boy, 14
- JonTheGoose, on 07/06/2009, -8/+52The kid is 14 years old. I did some stupid ***** at that age and I'm sure many of you have as well. It's called being a boy.
I hope he recovers soon. - cr12345, on 07/06/2009, -3/+34Diagnosis: Sudden Deceleration Syndrome.
- dimatt, on 07/06/2009, -1/+32Yea, but if someone told you to jump off a br-- nevermind...
- JohnFrum, on 07/06/2009, -3/+29Everyone falls on their first jump.
- sdphost, on 07/06/2009, -2/+22He didn't press A on time.
- ncapone, on 07/06/2009, -3/+19Obvious troll is obvious.
- EddiePotato, on 07/06/2009, -1/+12Look children, here is an exciting video with a techno soundtrack of exactly what sort of really fun thing you should not be doing!
- norman619, on 07/06/2009, -4/+13Meh. I can't feel sorry for people who are in bad shape due to their own stupidity. Sorry but at 14 I knew better than to try something as stupid as that. He lacked the common sense gene and is now suffering the consequences.
- deus216, on 07/06/2009, -5/+14Kids do stupid things... but wishing he was a quadriplegic for life? He's 14. You're a disgusting excuse for a human being
- Shadic, on 07/06/2009, -3/+10Wow, I'm digging this just because they know the difference between Free Running and Parkour.
- deus216, on 07/06/2009, -3/+10If you ever manage to ***** something in your life and you happen to reproduce... how would you feel if your kid managed to do something like this? I'm sure it would alter your shallow worldview a teensy bit.
- Spade914, on 07/06/2009, -8/+15Darwinism
- norman619, on 07/06/2009, -3/+9This is natural selection at work. Fool confused Mirror's Edge with reality.
- ZiggityZhang, on 07/06/2009, -2/+8Maybe it's just me but the random parkour video at the end feels kind of tacky IMO, if not downright inappropriate...
- ennuisquared, on 07/06/2009, -3/+9Is Dailymail showing examples of Parkour or are they glorifying it?
- EddiePotato, on 07/06/2009, -0/+6That joke was mostly harmless.
- KrayzieKyd, on 07/06/2009, -7/+12Let's all feel sorry for the daredevil. Pff.
- inactive, on 07/06/2009, -7/+12Oh well. I'm sure we lost a doctor or a brilliant scientist with that one.
- inactive, on 07/06/2009, -2/+7Normal contents of Daily Mail:
Front page: Muslim immigrants are raping your children RIGHT NOW!
The rest: Political correctness gone mad, blah-blah-blah, nanny state, EU bad, some sports *****.
Burried. - superkendall, on 07/06/2009, -3/+8If you are going to jump ten feet, make sure you can do it on the ground.
Then you have to commit. He probably pulled himself back a little at the last moment and then... pow. - inactive, on 07/06/2009, -2/+7Gravity shmavity, after all, it's just a theoryyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
- Walwyn, on 07/06/2009, -0/+4I Dugg your first comment because I LOL'd at it.
Now I Realise your just a *****. - EddiePotato, on 07/06/2009, -0/+4Dad?
- inactive, on 07/06/2009, -1/+5We're not sick. It isn't every day that one gets to witness natural selection at work.
- AreTooDeTo, on 07/06/2009, -0/+4No, actually you got buried for being an *****. Obviously the kid did a stupid thing that got him injured, but to wish for him to die or be a quadriplegic for the rest of his life is a completely despicable thing.
Just think for a minute, that you had a kid who was in a similar situation. Would you say to them, "Well, you're in a wheelchair for the rest of your life. Too bad, I hope you learned your lesson?" No, you would be completely sympathetic.
And don't give me that "I'll raise my kids right" *****. Kids, especially teenagers, rebel against their parents. A kid would be more likely to do something stupid if you specifically told them not to. - ElSantos, on 07/06/2009, -0/+4For the record, Necro's comment is very clearly not covered in burrs.
- KimNovak, on 07/06/2009, -2/+6Boy, 14, meet gravity, 9.80665 m/s² . Gravity, 9.80665 m/s² , meet Boy, 14.
- Supertrout, on 07/06/2009, -1/+5Any article on Digg that has the words "stunt" and "wrong" will always float to the front page.
- AmazingSteve, on 07/06/2009, -2/+6Parkour is for Athletes and people trained in gymnastics, not stupid kids with more balls than brains. There's nothing wrong with the sport but for God's sake, use some common sense. You wouldn't just go buy a parachute and jump out of a plane without know what you're doing because it looked cool, so why the ***** would you attempt to jump a 10 foot gap 40 feet in the air without knowing what you're doing? Well deserved faceplant.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3Unless the "double dog dare" is invoked...
- hallo2u, on 07/06/2009, -3/+6gravity is such a bitch
poor 14 year old boy with the intellect of a brick - deathfix, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3I'd also like to introduce him to inelastic collision.
- AreTooDeTo, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3Yeah, their kid is fighting for his life, I bet embarrassment is the first thing that came to their mind.
- Import98, on 07/06/2009, -1/+4Are you 14? I dare you to shoot yourself in the head.
There is a difference between being 14 and being a dumb bastard at the age of 14. I grew out of "I dare you" around the age of like 8 - Talphin, on 07/06/2009, -4/+7There is a big difference between someone telling you to jump, and someone daring you to jump. Especially when you are a 14 yr old boy. If someone told a 14 yr old boy to do anything, chances are he won't do it, no matter what it is. But dare him? That ***** will happen. :P
- AreTooDeTo, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3yeah what? how is Rise Against techno?
- EddiePotato, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3I cringe when I think of all the times I could have bit it at that age. Makes me never want to have a son, knowing what he'd get up to!
- kingmanic, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3At 14 he hasn't really lived. The difference between bravery and stupidity is that you are brave when you do something dangerous because you MUST. Stupidity is doing something dangerous for fun. Sure it's not black and white but the gradient between the two is divided by how much though you put into it. Everest climb with gear and oxygen = mostly brave somewhat stupid. Hiking out into the deep woods without a map, without telling anyone where you are and without adequate clothing = entirely stupid. 14 year old jumping across building and missing = mostly stupid.
- Jack8274, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3He's not dead yet! He is currently only a honorable mention.
- SirReally, on 07/06/2009, -1/+4"Is 'kevinridsdale' being offensive?"
Yes, he is. And judging from his profile, this isn't the only racially offensive comment or submission he has made on Digg.
I'm reporting him now, and I urge fellow non-racist diggers to do the same. - Ultrace, on 07/06/2009, -0/+3So having a midlife crisis is worse than potentially not even living half that long? That's an... Interesting view.
- Mujokan, on 07/06/2009, -1/+4Hey! What's this thing suddenly coming towards me very fast? Very, very fast. So big and flat and round, it needs a big wide sounding name like ... ow ... ound ... round ... ground! That's it! That's a good name - ground!
I wonder if it will be friends with me? - AndrewDB, on 07/06/2009, -6/+8Fourteen year old boys fly much the way bricks don't.
- inactive, on 07/06/2009, -1/+3He's not dead or sterile yet.
- inactive, on 07/06/2009, -1/+3Comedy fail
- XxModestMousexX, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2Not only that but nearly every popular parkour vid out there features a song by Rise Against.
- joshcxa, on 07/06/2009, -0/+2Really? I heard it was because he wasn't holding B while he was running
- inactive, on 07/07/2009, -0/+2At 14, you're old enough to know that falling that far will not end well. ***** him.
