After all, intelligent, independent thinking people are terrible consumers. If you want to sell loads of worthless stuff, you NEED idiots. The majority of America is unaware of our quick slide into global irrelevance. They are also unaware of how they've been groomed to BUY BUY BUY without giving a second thought as to whether they actually need what they buy. And if you challenge them with that question, then they've been trained to see you as a traitorous "America hater".

    In the recent story posted to Digg about the rice shortage in America, as I read the article, something struck me as very telling. The central piece of the article talked about how rice is being rationed in the United States. But then, the article goes on to say that Walmart is one of the places doing the rationing. And what was their limit? It was "four 20 Lb. bags of rice per household". Think about that for a minute folks... What kind of household do you have if you go through 80 Lbs of rice even in a year? My family and I eat plenty of rice. Pretty much at every dinner during the week. We're a family of three. One five pound bag of rice lasts about three months. So, at most, we would use MAYBE 30-40 Lbs of rice a year.

    This just tells me that Americans have been conditioned to buy for quantity instead of quality. And THAT requires a stupidity beyond belief. THOSE are the fans of Bill O'Reilly. The people who've been conditioned to buy without thinking. The people who believe that by buying low quality in high volume, indiscriminately and think they're getting "deals" are the people who believe in Bill-O's lies about "looking out for you". He's looking out for those fans alright. He hoping to keep them stupid so that his stocks stay artificially inflated. That should keep him in loofas and falfels for life...
