- Jaz969, on 04/13/2009, -1/+65Well if that's the case Digg.com domain belongs to me seeing how its my family's surname.
- stoitofardo, on 04/13/2009, -1/+41Dugg for your family's surname.
- Duffle, on 04/13/2009, -5/+41Too bad old man, you were too slow.
- bovox, on 04/13/2009, -0/+27Wouldn't that be Monicasucks.com?
- toastgodsupreme, on 04/13/2009, -3/+28As much as I like Bill, I'm not with him on this.
That guy purchased those domains fair and square. If Bill wants them, he can purchase them for whatever price the person is willing to sell at. - ryanonfire, on 04/13/2009, -0/+19Holy ***** look where you get redirected www.presidentbillclinton.com
- Duffle, on 04/13/2009, -2/+20He's still addressed as President.
- stoitofardo, on 04/13/2009, -1/+18He did not have sexual relations with that woman!
- taketaketake, on 04/13/2009, -1/+15Bill Clinton just called....he wants his domains back.
- rpieszak, on 04/13/2009, -13/+26Wow, these comments suck
- bovox, on 04/13/2009, -1/+13Yeah. All former presidents are still address as "President".
You stupid or something? - philz, on 04/13/2009, -0/+10to http://rnc.org/ Republican National Committee
- Mr8lack, on 04/13/2009, -3/+12@toastgodsupreme - you're %100 correct
@barc0001 - who cares if it's domain squatting? Is that illegal now? Can I go around and demand any domain name I want because I like it or it has my name? The guy, just like everyone else, is out to make a buck and if he was smart enough to register it first more power to him. - masterc, on 04/13/2009, -0/+8Comma ≠ Apostrophe
- barc0001, on 04/13/2009, -3/+10Hey, they gotta do something to boost their webstats.
- Toshibi, on 04/13/2009, -1/+8Just be like me. Change the last letter. Then get mad whenever someone calls you Toshiba!
- FishHammer, on 04/13/2009, -0/+7Nobody actually reads the article before they comment. You must be new here.
- Moonkeeper, on 04/13/2009, -1/+7In a free society, a person can buy land and do nothing with it. Eminent domain is a syndrome of government by the politically connected.
- Elliuotatar, on 04/13/2009, -2/+8Uh what? You sure as hell can go into a neighborhood and buy land and then do nothing with it.
- meretrice, on 04/13/2009, -1/+7Warren Harding and Franklin D Roosevelt would like a word with you.
- norman619, on 04/13/2009, -0/+5You incredibly stupid or something?
- lolque, on 04/13/2009, -0/+5I thought I was the only one with that last name...well I mean on here. You figure you'd hear about it more. Guess not.
- yano, on 04/13/2009, -5/+9Well you got to give him credit because with as smooth of a talker he is, he'll convince everyone that since Al Gore was his VP and Mr. Gore invented the Internet, that somehow it's relevant to Bill getting his domains back.
- Myztry, on 04/13/2009, -0/+4Bill would be more entitled to get a role in a Point Break sequeal as a masked robber...
- LonesomeFighter, on 04/13/2009, -1/+5and JFK and countless other Presidents
- peestandingup, on 04/13/2009, -5/+9Well, I personally think its ***** on anyone's part to try & claim a domain name thats already been registered, squatting or not.
Thats like if I claimed that my last name was Toshiba & wanted toshiba.com back. - bmcnally, on 04/13/2009, -0/+4How much of the law that venom posted can be used (i.e., it's ex post facto)?
I also am not sure if it applies for names. Trademarks are a different set of the law. - LonesomeFighter, on 04/13/2009, -0/+4holy *****, they said that in the article
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -2/+6I heard Bill contact the webmasters at whitehouse.com, but not for the domain name but to ask where all the smut went.
- serif69, on 04/13/2009, -0/+4It depends upon what the meaning of the word "his" is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4XT-l-_3y0
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -0/+3Would you?
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -0/+2If coherency was a measurement of viability, you'd be a cum stain on a tissue.
- Nitrodist88, on 04/13/2009, -0/+2No, he's spot on.
- Domdogg123, on 04/13/2009, -0/+2If the government forces him to give up the site names, is this a case of Eminent Domain?
- norman619, on 04/13/2009, -0/+2Well, by law if you aren't using the domains for making money then you automatically lose them. I found out about this a few weeks ago. It helps get rid of domain name squatters. Clinton will get those of this douchebag isn't using them ro make money.
- Nitrodist88, on 04/13/2009, -0/+2I wonder what would happen if the domain name wasn't registered in the US?
- reaper527, on 04/13/2009, -0/+2doesn't eminent domain have to be "for public good"? i think this is just a case of "abuse of power"
- mysmartypants, on 04/13/2009, -1/+3I hear he wants www.monicablows.com back as well.
- venom8599, on 04/13/2009, -0/+2You don't have to be using them to make money, per se. But you do have to have some kind of a purpose for them. Simply using them to redirect to the RNC because it's funny doesn't really count as using them though, so my guess is Clinton will get them without much of a hassle.
- Chooxo, on 04/13/2009, -2/+3More right than someone who ISN'T named Bill Clinton.
- norman619, on 04/13/2009, -1/+2Sounds like you are in dire need of his services.
- LegomanArt, on 04/13/2009, -0/+1You ridiculously stupid or something?
- venom8599, on 04/13/2009, -3/+4If you were married to Hillary Clinton I'm sure you'd be having affairs too.
- venom8599, on 04/13/2009, -3/+4"who cares if it's domain squatting? Is that illegal now?"
Yes. Or at least it opens you up to civil suits.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticybersquatting_Co ... - MtheoryX, on 07/22/2009, -0/+1Am I the only one that was disappointed that wasn't a working domain?
- LonesomeFighter, on 04/13/2009, -1/+2The UN didn't invent the internet, America did.
- inactive, on 04/13/2009, -0/+1So? America didn't invent the computer.
- Khast, on 04/13/2009, -0/+1Well, too bad, you should have kept up on the DNS registry....I understand once lapsed, it don't matter if you are the legit holder, the domain name is freed and available for purchase.
Same would go for disney.com, google.com ect...if any of these companies slipped up and let their DNS registration lapse, I would have no pity for them either. - barc0001, on 04/13/2009, -2/+2@Mr8lack - actually yes it is illegal, as venom8599 points out.
@Nitrodist88 - wouldn't matter. WIPO (the W stands for World) gets involved with domain disputes and will yank it from you if you lose the dispute no matter what country the registrar operates from. -
