- Pilomotor, on 07/20/2009, -0/+127"According to Joseph, his friends had left the party reading quotes from the bible to each other and were on their way to assist the homeless. According to the police, the group was shooting off flamethrowers and wheeling a giant cannon down the street toward an orphanage. The truth is probably somewhere in between."
I find this humorous. - poog99, on 07/20/2009, -2/+66why weren't you on the list?
- Spyder2k, on 07/20/2009, -0/+54Only cracked could award these people the hardcore article they deserve
- michael0310, on 07/20/2009, -0/+43I think it's time to come right out of the closet. Cracked puts out some good articles.
- rockon4life45, on 07/20/2009, -0/+42Read the wikipedia on Phineas Gage if you get a chance.
"I first noticed the wound upon the head before I alighted from my carriage, the pulsations of the brain being very distinct. Mr. Gage, during the time I was examining this wound, was relating the manner in which he was injured to the bystanders. I did not believe Mr. Gage's statement at that time, but thought he was deceived. Mr. Gage persisted in saying that the bar went through his head....Mr. G. got up and vomited; the effort of vomiting pressed out about half a teacupful of the brain, which fell upon the floor."

- rinote, on 07/20/2009, -5/+38cool story, bro.
- Evolutuon, on 07/20/2009, -0/+31I'm surprised they didn't invoke this poor fellow's name as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatoli_Bugorski
- ninjateddy04, on 07/20/2009, -0/+28holy crap.
does this mean futurama's head-without-body-in-water-tank theory is possible!!? - plainOldFool, on 07/20/2009, -1/+29Using a "Pointy Suicide Stick" to get dynamite good and angry... Yeah, I strained so hard not LOL out loud that I got tears streaming from my eyes.
- zoomaKabu, on 07/21/2009, -1/+24FTA "Despite what the NRA would have you believe, guns do kill people."
My lazy damn gun has no ambition whatsoever. It just sits there in that drawer, not killing people all day long. I don't understand it. - wontstoptalking, on 07/20/2009, -2/+20Damn, do you show it to the chicks?
- plainOldFool, on 07/20/2009, -0/+17I was wondering if Phineas was going to make this list. I first heard about him in Psych 101. Then I saw that the brain harpoon and other items of the episode on display at the Smithsonian.
- edwartica, on 07/20/2009, -0/+17I think I actually met the nail gun guy. Complete psycho if it is the same guy.
- ModernGeek, on 07/20/2009, -1/+17It must be because he is faking it. Pics or it didn't happen.
- patm1987, on 07/20/2009, -0/+14http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSrIkUXwsNk
I think that proves it more than an "internal decapitation." - skipvt, on 07/20/2009, -1/+15I too found a modicum of jocularity contained within said statement.
- cor315, on 07/20/2009, -2/+15The first guy should be an inspiration to amputees. He's looses both legs and is still a positive person. Amazing.
- Napiertt, on 07/20/2009, -0/+10Wow. It's a wonder he didn't get super powers
- glinsvad, on 07/20/2009, -0/+10I remember being taught in the RDAF that the only time we would be allowed to pronounce somebody dead on the battlefield was in case of decapitation. Guess not.
- bat-21, on 07/20/2009, -0/+10Recently discovered picture of Phineas Gage:
http://161.58.72.244/phineasgage/images/PG_waterma ... - vwllss, on 07/21/2009, -0/+8Must be a teenage gun. Tell it to get its act together or you're giving it to the army.
- kitsua, on 07/21/2009, -0/+8They really do. I can spend hours reading through their archives and chortling heartily whilst simultaneously engorging my sprunge gland. They've got a handful of great writers and some talented contributors. One of the best things I've discovered through Digg.
- scottcxv, on 07/20/2009, -0/+8that is one creepy video jesus christ
- spiderfish, on 07/20/2009, -1/+9"Your body has some pretty basic needs: food, water, air, some basic broadband Internet access."
This. - ModernGeek, on 07/20/2009, -1/+8As do I.
- jengerer, on 07/20/2009, -0/+7I can imagine it's hard not to Laugh Out Loud Out Loud when you're reading that. ;)
- djcll6122, on 07/20/2009, -1/+8guy getting sucked into a jet engine didn't make the list?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_gpPbpONK4 - StiffMonkey, on 07/20/2009, -1/+8I thought of nearly headless Nick form harry potter when i read that one
- wontstoptalking, on 07/20/2009, -0/+7Step 5: Add half a teaspoon of brain into the blended three cups of goat eyes...
- alienufo, on 07/21/2009, -0/+6i think i'm going to puke
- DivineMonkey, on 07/20/2009, -0/+6I love you Cracked.
- TobiasParker, on 07/21/2009, -0/+5Dr Manhattan anyone.
- TobiasParker, on 07/21/2009, -0/+5***** life of the party aren't you?
- MarkBrent, on 07/21/2009, -0/+4God I love how Cracked describes their articles.
- skektek, on 07/20/2009, -0/+4Pussy.
- AbuQutaita, on 09/18/2009, -0/+4I was expecting this guy to make the list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Malarchuk
- bat-21, on 07/20/2009, -0/+4He wasn't injured but did have to change his pants afterwards.
- bruin8uclap, on 07/21/2009, -1/+5I actually see similarities between the two seemingly differing stories in that if the violent Crusades would have taken place in contemporary times it would not be so unlikely that these boys would be both reading quotes from the bible to each other AND shooting off flamethrowers and wheeling a giant cannon down the street toward an orphanage.
- Invader001, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3what kind of measurement is "about half of a teacup"?
- nutzngum, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3i agree - what's funny is that when i was growing up, Cracked magazine kinda played second fiddle to Mad Magazine, and yes, Mad TV was awesome (at first), but Cracked really took to the internets quite well. I don't like everything on the site, but overall, they've done a good job adapting.
- immatellyouwhat, on 07/20/2009, -0/+3My Lab Bailey doesn't like to be in the backyard, so when we put her there she jumps our 9ft fence and waits for us on the front porch ( she's a silly dog). Anyway one day she jumped the fence, my stepmom came home fighting with her son and pulled in the driveway and ran over the dog with a 1/2 ton truck! TWICE! Her skin was torn off at her waist and got right up, she survived with no fatal injuries and the doctor said if the tires ran over her any higher or lower she wouldn't have made it.
- Sideshowslob, on 07/20/2009, -0/+3Awkward...
- Sideshowslob, on 07/20/2009, -0/+3Pfft, he only got shot with 9 bullets.
- surfergirlsc, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3We are death defying animals ;)
- kitsua, on 07/21/2009, -0/+3I applaud this pettifogging japery.
- Zarokima, on 07/21/2009, -0/+2Oh, if you guys think that's bad you should see the ones they attached to other dogs.
http://www.tvdata.ru/catalog.php?dir=11&did=36 ... - bdigital24, on 07/21/2009, -0/+2Best line:
"He finally went to the hospital and complained to the doctors that he had a headache. While this was technically true it's kind of like telling someone your buddy is a bit of a douche bag and then the guy turns out to be Spencer Pratt. " - wolfing, on 07/21/2009, -0/+2but he did say 'shoot' when the cord didn't work
