Unreal Tournament 3 release date revealed!
gamerush.zoomshare.com — For those of you gamers who've been patiently waiting to get your hands on Epic's upcoming frag-fest, Unreal Tournament 3, industry insiders are now stating a September 3rd release for the US and September 28 for Europe. The date for the release seemed to always be TBA 2007, so now that we have some solid dates keep an eye out of this sure-fire...

- omygroin, on 10/11/2007, -11/+79Wow im more excited for this than Halo3. UT was always better than Halo in multiplayer. If UT3 pwns like Gears did then it'll cool down much of the hype surrounding the Halo3 launch. Epic is on a roll.
- Butmac, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Epic is most definitely on a roll if UT3 is as solid as Gears. September 3rd is a lot sooner than I had expected too...
- AcePup, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16Buried for spam! Original article: http://uk.pc.ign.com/objects/746/746632.html

That post date is months old. - Alexx3k, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1the draw board is where it's at
- tidu, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2"I think this story is a fake. "
A person above me is right, that post is really old. Most of the posts on that forum ask WHENS IT COMING OUT or WILL MY SPECS BE GOOD ENUGH!!?!?1. It's kinda funny, some dev a year or so ago said it'll be here "in two weeks" and that's everybody's answer to release date questions ;)
Seems legit, IGN has it as well... I can't wait. - citrusfizz, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Sorry for the comment abuse but for all those waiting for UT3 check this out
http://www.gogamer.com/viewproduct.htm?productId=6442209&AID=2202820&PID=1225267&SID=sduidp0t0
all the old unreal games for only 12 bucks - avihappy, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7It won't cool down any hype for Halo 3 because UT3 is primarily a PC Game, Halo is a console game that PC Gamers don't get for a few years. They are different markets. Console gamers won't give a crap about UT and PC Gamers don't give a crap about Halo.
- jimbojim, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1I just hope they aren't rushing it to beat the Halo 3 launch...

Mark Rein:
"We don't know when the game will be released but it won't be ready in time for September 3rd. In addition the idea that we would release the game in the US and UK several weeks apart is just plain silly."

- manifestdata, on 10/11/2007, -45/+3You mean despite what the numbers say?
- Wetzilla, on 10/11/2007, -4/+36Because everyone knows that sales = quality. You must also think that the Backstreet Boys, Nsync and the Spice Girls are all some of the best groups, because they sold so many albums.
- dannyboy3020, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21Best =/= most popular.

You Madam, are an idiot... It IS one of the best FPS's of all time... No question. 8 Years later and there's still a quite active community. Can you say that for any other game? Yes, you can, but only about very few which vaults UT99 to the top of FPS's.
And yeah, sales mean dick... All it means is that a game is hyped enough to dupe millions of unsuspecting gamers into buying trash. - dissurmom, on 10/11/2007, -14/+0double post... delete me!

I like the addition of a 'Play' feature on map making etc. Having to toggle between the game and the editor sucks.
IGN backs up the release date:
http://pc.ign.com/objects/746/746632.html- MasteRR, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I wonder if they know that their scripting language (kismet) shares the name of a WiFi scanner.
- Spik3balloon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1IGN's release dates are always full of crap. Even though none of these games have received ANY confirmed dates (other than quarters), they have a date listed:

- trubbleshute, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2Flak cannon is for newbs, everyone knows the shock combo is the most devastating!
- OMGWTFROFLMAOx2, on 10/11/2007, -4/+21Am I the only one that uses the UT series as a benchmark for upgrades to my system? Looks like I'll be upgrading in late August, early September.
- ericnmu, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Quake Wars might do that for me.
- spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21It's pretty encouraging to hear "HOLY *****!" when you max out the graphical settings. :)
- KUKBAHLAM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I felt it too...... I began playing the beta the 1st day of it's release (Torlan is still in rotation on most servers and it makes me puke) but did not get the Holy ***** for years. When I did it was like an old friend patting me on the back and saying... "Now that's a nice machine." A very tangible reward for the hassle of moving into a new workstation.
- neiltc13, on 10/11/2007, -7/+13There is ABSOLUTELY NO NEED for a developer to place a one month gap between North American and European releases - text in game which would require translation will be finished long in advance of the ship date and could be translated then.
Other developers/publishers have shown that it is possible to do worldwide launches in the space of a number of days (look at Grand Theft Auto - it's got thousands of words of text) so this just seems to be poor scheduling on Epic's part.- Yarnage, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Not sure why you're being dug down as this is true... I never understood why it takes so much longer for over seas releases. Perhaps the boxing and shipping process just takes a while? No ide.a..
- Bartboy919, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2You forget these games must get a rating just like every other game, and localized and right and all that other crap, Im sure the European version will be doen when the US one is, its just the process they must go through that takes the time.
- westquote, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0There are many good reasons why games are not released simultaneously in all regions (beyond the ratings issue). First of all, console games must meet a long series of requirements specified by the console publisher. In the case of some consoles, this "certification process" must be done by several different groups, one for each region. One group may deem the game unfit for release, while another might OK it, causing it to be released earlier in one region than another. This could happen because the actual hardware differs slightly between two regions, or because one region is just more lenient than another. Also, not all engines support easy localization. In those cases they may need to edit tons of data manually in-editor, go through a new test pass, certify, etc... Even in engines that support localization (such as the Unreal Engine), it's sometimes necessary to create new assets for localized games. For instance, that beautiful logo on the main screen may need to be redesigned to work with Japanese while still maintaining brand recognition. Additionally, some text may be baked into the background of the UI, and require a re-export. Because of the vast number of changes that may be required throughout the localization process, bugs may emerge (from typos to incorrect languages). Lastly, some publishers like to take advantage of the free stress testing and QA pass. If a bug is found in the game that absolutely needs fixing, it might be better to hold off on printing up 100000 more copies until a couple weeks after the game is released.
- Lupich, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Great news! I hope this is true!
Seems that everything was going to be released in January, then it got pushed back, now its all September November, so its fall again, the time for gaming. ;D- dissurmom, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Gotta agree with you there... There are a TON of ***** awesome games coming out this year... All around the same time too!
Hellgate: London
UT3
Quake Wars
Bunch of good 360 titles too I'm looking forward to, like Assassins Creed.

- aydoubleyou, on 10/11/2007, -27/+3Everyone knows that UT is the newb's version of Quake.
- Psywar, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Ohhh rly????
- Chromatik, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5lol @ aydoubleyou.
As a longtime player of both I disagree for the most part. I will give you that UT is more "newb friendly" when first starting out, but after that it evey bit as competitive as Quake if not more so. Getting off shock combos while you are mid-air is much harder than a 'Flick rail > switch to SG or LG to finish them off" any day. I will be curious to see what Quakewars brings to the table. - MDrake, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2So true.
- BrokenVisage, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Now I know when to buy my next video card, perfect!
- trubbleshute, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Too true, I may try to wait it out for a little while before the next upgrade. SC2 looks pretty intense, as well as Fable2.

Thanks for sharing. - tidu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1yeah,12340987, you're of a minority. sorry :p
- seneyr, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Buried inaccurate. Link trail leads nowhere. If they had announced a release date it would plastered all over sites like BeyondUnreal. It's not.
- xtmno3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1see my above comment. IGN posted it too.
- musntSurfatWork, on 10/11/2007, -31/+2sequels, such as UT3, is the epitomy of me saying, "to hell with spending more money on eye candy to be shelved games in a month, expensive hardware only to be obsolete again in 6 months."
I for one however, am definitely spending the so called "8800GTX monies" on a PS3 this fall. The cell processor and promising game lineup, is calling my attention away from PC gaming. If you can afford both, then to each his own anyways.
Positive Digg = sensible people
Negative Digg = still living in momma's basement and seriously need things like their own bus pass.- Endar, on 10/11/2007, -5/+19buying a ps3 is not sensible
- OMGWTFROFLMAOx2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9I hope English is not your first language.
- spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -4/+11Buy that PS3 and cry when you actually see the 8800 in action. The PS3 ain't gettin' any faster in the coming years, but PCs certainly are. At least you'll be able to watch Wedding Crashers in Blu-ray.
- Klarth, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6Adding a "if you digg me down you are stupid and poor and childish!" clause to a comment is pretty immature.
ps anyone who diggs me down hates kittens - jacksons98, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1@spyrochaete Not entirely true, while the PS3 won't get "faster"; developers will learn to get more and more out of a consistent platform. Look at the way console games progress over the lifecycle of the system. Secondly surfing the web, playing games, listening to my music, watching movies all better on my TV and surround sound system. That said I like my PC for certain games, mainly RTS.
- Sairgem, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Well since I still live in my momma's basement, and love kittens, I know how to digg you guys.
- formulathree, on 10/11/2007, -8/+3"Buy that PS3 and cry when you actually see the 8800 in action"
Yes, buy that 8800 and cry when you see all of the good games coming out on the PS3. Let's be honest, the PC is dead as a gaming platform and Windows Live is not going to revive it. Even though I just love paying Microsoft to play PC games online. - lacronicus, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2wait, your bashing the pc, while praising the ps3 in the same sentence? FOR A LACK OF GAMES??? this is the ps3 were talking about, the same one thats lost every exclusive besides MGS4? if anything, you could say 360, and maybe get away with it, since most games are on both. but the ps3?
and crysis. - formulathree, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1
Have you looked at what's been released for the PC in the past year compared to the games released on the consoles? Doesn't look very good and hasn't for some time.
- thrallie, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Is this going to be another Unreal Engine 3 game that requires shader model 3? Can I run it on a graphics card that only has Shader Model 2.0? :(
- ericnmu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17Yes, it requires shader model 3.
Get used to it, Unreal 3 engine is heavily licensed. - Bersy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The minimum pixel shader version will probably be 2.0b - That's what it is for RoboBlitz, another UE3 title. This has very little meaning if you own an Nvidia card, as they jump from 2.0a to 3.0, but the x800 series of ATi cards support 2.0b, but not 3.0. So I'd say that it's 50/50 that this range of cards will run the game.. On the Nvidia side, theoretically the game will run with as little as a GeForce 6200, albeit probably at about 10 frames per second on lowest settings. For reasonable low/mid range performance I'd bank on a 7900 GT, and for higher end, the 8800 or better. Of course taking into account that the CPU and RAM are equally important parts of the equation.
- ericnmu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+17Yes, it requires shader model 3.
- DWNamu, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2About time, played 2004 so long I got sick of it. Hopefully the wait was worth it.
- fucter, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Will there be a Linux version?
- dissurmom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Yes.
- Chromatik, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16I'm pretty sure there will be, Epic has traditionally supported Linux.

For a game that was released in '99, UT has one heck of a following and it ranks as one of the top games I've played, on any platform. OpenGL FTW!
- dissurmom, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Buried as inaccurate. People, please read the official forums regarding the release date before you waste any more minutes of my life with stupidity like this.
On a side note, I did read an article scan this weekend (available at the official UT3 forums - thread is on the first page) and in it an interview with Steve Polge (lead designer I believe) said that the graphics in UT3 make Gears of War look ugly. lol!
I know graphics aren't everything... But still, gears was beautiful... This game is going to kick so many asses. - Pensador, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1How reliable is that source?

So the only reason to install that copy of vista gathering dust on my shelf...... Shadow run??? The MS game where they cripple the PC version to allow Xbox users a chance at beating a mouse and keyboard.....
That being said, UT2004 is still great... very playable after 4+ years of play. Screwing up it's near perfect gameplay could be easy on a new, graphics intensive 1st person shooter.- Bartboy919, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2You won't get the pretty DX10 look if you don't go with Vista though!
- idonthack, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6OpenGL can do everything DX10 can.
- mitrovarr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I hope they don't screw it up. There are lots of ominous signs, like the removal of some jump moves (to make the game less 'floaty' - i.e. more counterstrike like) and the merging of the boring onslaught vehicle-fest with the actually worthwhile assault mode into some odd hybrid reminiscent of BF2. Didn't Epic learn the first time they took assault out, pissed off their audience, and put it back in?
I'm hoping it's good, but it might be another UT2003. At least if it is, they'll probably put out another UT2004 to make up for it. - formulathree, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6"You won't get the pretty DX10 look if you don't go with Vista though"
DX10 is just another proprietary Microsoft API designed for vendor lock in and the prevention of ports. It's the hardware that does the real work. OpenGL can do everything DX10 can. Just ask John Carmack and iD as all of their PC games use OpenGL exclusively. - lacronicus, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2"DX10 is just another proprietary Microsoft API designed for vendor lock in and the prevention of ports."
dx10 is further standardization of equipment that is designed to eliminate the use of parts that do not include the necessary equipment needed to play a game correctly. opengl can do everything directx10 can, just as directx9 can. the problem is doing it just as fast. directx10 was never meant to make things look better directly, but allow for more efficient use of the gpu, resulting in more processing power available. its not a matter of how good the graphics look, i could have a ray tracing engine running on a 6600, the question is whether it can do it quickly enough to play a game running on it. dx10 seeks to make such things less gpu intensive, which would in turn mean that it would run faster with the same amount of processing power. if it can run faster on the same settings, it can run on better settings just as fast.
furthermore, it seeks to allow game designers to use any instruction that the API allows. with dx9 series cards, some cards did not support every aspect of dx9, and so they were unable to use all of it's features. this resulted in devs being forced to lower their games to the lcd to account for this instability in hardware capability. dx10 eliminates this in a way that opengl, with its limited influence over the industry, never could. where opengl forces the gpu to process information, however slowly it may need to process due to the gpu not natively supporting the instruction, dx10 simply requires the gpu to support the instruction, lest the gpu manufacturer be left unable to tout dx10 as a feature.
maybe it is a hardware lockout, but in this case, its not as though you would be worse off for supporting it. they arent simply making all older cards incompatible, so by the time dx9 goes unsupported, you'll need a new card anyway. - Droniac, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1KUKBAHLAM - never tried Unreal Tournament did you?
The gameplay videos for UT3 seem promising, with gameplay (and map design) appearing to be a lot more like the original than the UT200X games.
mitrovarr - did you ever play Unreal Tournament?
Making the game less floaty and more in-your-face was what UT fans requested.
And no - it certainly won't make it anything like Counter Strike...
As for Warfare - it sounds a lot more like large-scale Assault than it does like Battlefield or Onslaught. - KUKBAHLAM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Tried it? Yes.... Seriously played it? No. It came out at a glorious time in the history of PC gaming and must have lost out to another title.... I did play Tribes a lot around that time. My answer would be to allow the server admin to decide whether they wanted double jumps and or any other controversial change. Then again, that is what will happen if the history of UT2004 is any indicator. The real content for this game was provided long after its release.... Go play "Tank me up-Gorz" map. Awesome map & mods.
But make no mistake, I am buying this title based on my experiences on UT2004.
- sonaboy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3when's the Mac version coming out?!?!?

And Im a PC.
1 of us is easily and cheaply customizable and upgradable for great computer gaming compatibility.
1 of us is not, but looks fabulous when linked to an iPod because they match so well and really work wonders for the decor of your room.

- Chromatik, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Until there is confirmation from Epic I wouldn't trust this "revealed release date" from "industry insiders". Epic has been leading the "when its done" charge for some time now.
That being said, it does sound like a fairly reasonable time frame for a release based on the development cycle they have been in. How ever long it takes is fine by me (reasonably of course, no DNF please) as long as it's done right.
Regardless this game will own...- Droniac, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This release date was already denied by Mark Rein himself before it was posted here on Digg.
At least we did learn that it won't be done before the 3rd of September.

UT360 has no mouse/keyboard support and only runs at 30fps, wtf Epic, why would you tarnish your brand like that?- sekhui, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12what the hell did you expect out of a console version? good graphics and extensive hardware support? *snicker*

but whats that? the cry of ps3 gamers everywhere going "no you use your ps3 as the server!!11" and if you use your pc, why not just play it on the pc?
and somehow i doubt anyone would allow k/m gamers to play against game pad players without some serious auto-aim. especially not in a game like UT where reflexes (and control) actually matter. and game pad gamers are going to be seriously pissed if theres That much auto aim... - formulathree, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yes, there will be bifurcation between the gamepad and Keyboard/Mouse players otherwise there would be domination.
- Droniac, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"and somehow i doubt anyone would allow k/m gamers to play against game pad players..."
That's why they're not going to.
Besides - the console version and PC version differ too much for them to be cross-platform compatible.
You see, the console version is significantly slower, which would kind of make the versions incompatible.
Besides, I doubt any PC players would get much enjoyment out of dominating a server full of Loque @ Average (UT'99) bots..
- rmetzger, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Well at least I have the summer to upgrade my system; i'm betting my 7800GTX will not let the game flex its full muscle.
- idonthack, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I'll take that off your hands if you no longer need it.
- Butt3rs, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1http://www.duggmirror.com
keep bumped...mirror works fine. - rmetzger, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1also i wonder how many DVDs this will be? 2? 3? 4? UT has all ways been a large game
- KUKBAHLAM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Don't forget that this game grows a lot after install. Currently I am at 8.2gigs for UT2004.
This is not a complaint.... I paid $35 for a game thats still playable and that the community is still producing maps and mods for. - Anoobis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i often run up to that amount with UT99.
i say often because i normally reinstall at that stage because having hundreds of maps is where it gets silly - Droniac, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Nope - Unreal Tournament fit on a single CD.
The UT200X games were a bit hefty though.
UT2003 at 3 CDs.
UT2004 at 1 DVD/5 CDs
Although that's still nothing compared to how large they get, after you install them.
My UT2004 folder is usually sitting at somewhere around 12 GBs.
I'm guessing UT3 will up the ante a little - say... 2 DVD, 14 GB install, 35 GB folder a few months later. - KUKBAHLAM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1From your lips to God's ears.
- KUKBAHLAM, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Don't forget that this game grows a lot after install. Currently I am at 8.2gigs for UT2004.
- commiecat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I can't wait. I grew up on id games like Doom II and QI/II but when the original Unreal came out, I was blown away and have been a fanboy ever since.
The gameplay has always been great, the engine is arguably the best in the FPS world, the community is active, the game mods are encouraged by the developers (e.g., the "Make Something Unreal" contest with a $1M purse) and now they're releasing this game for PC (including Mac/Linux) and console around the same time.
Halo is the FPS franchise right now because of all the console support. I'm obviously biased but I truly think that between the graphics, the gameplay and the recent success of GoW, which they are wisely using to promote UT3, I think that Epic can really give Bungie a run for the best FPS regardless of platform. Even if I'm wrong, the bottom line is that the success of both franchises will only make future iterations that much better.- spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -0/+22The title of Best FPS will never be bestowed on anything but a PC title.
- formulathree, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2
Fatal1ty will bestow the honors at an event filled with music, dance and KFC. - Step1Mark, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Fatal1ty is a douche bag
- formulathree, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2
How else would Fatal1ty keep his vagina clean? Hose water? - Droniac, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The title of Best FPS will never be bestowed on a Halo game
(+ what spyrochaete said)
- nitallica, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Crap, the page has already used up their bw limit. Anybody have any mirrors of this story posted?
Woops! Nevermind.
Thanks butt3rs, I always forget about that link! - MDrake, on 10/11/2007, -9/+2Im sorry, but UTxxxx will never be what Quake was/is.The best was UT99 and it went down from there.
(Yes I am excluding Quake 4.)- spyrochaete, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1I agree that the original UT was the best of the series, but Q3 beat them all. The fluidity of the Q3 engine was just astounding. I have huge respect for id for open sourcing that engine.
- xvertigox, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4Agreed, Quake 3 is the best multiplayer deathmatch game ever.
- uberlaff, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Quake 3 was great, but UT 2004 was unbelievable! That game was crack!
- formulathree, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Thankfully, the UT2004 source was also 'open' sourced. Oh dear, I've said too much. Is there a delete message icon?
- skrowl, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3How come stories like this on Digg never get buried as Inaccurate, even though they obviously are?
- J4k3, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Because they're not, dork.
- sideh, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2yeah it is.

- J4k3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Excellent! I don't care what anybody says, this game will rock! UT3 for life!
- wbeavis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2and.... What about Duke Nukem Forever??? hmm
/still play UT99
//crappy PC - Namesbond, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2All I have to say is UT Game of the Year had the man cannon.
- damienkrypt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2UT99 still chugs along with the best ctf play ever . . . .
- ThatEvilGuy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I don't get it, why is this so "official", game sites report release dates all the time, and most of the time they're wrong.
- The_Dude, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I preferred Quake 2 over Quake 3, but that's just nostalgia. Everyone likes the version that they rocked first. I enjoyed some UT2004 also before getting sucked into the BF2 lovefest.
- moegocanes, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2UT99>UT2/3
- thinsoldier, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I've spent countless hours playing UT2k3 and I agree that UT99 was better. In some really weird way I'd even say it 'looked' better.
I feel a lot of that "special something" in game art from the 90's has been lost. I occassionally run through hexen, quake1/2/3, Unreal, UT99 and I still find that there's something absolutely beautiful about the details in some textures and decals that just is not matched on an artistic level in current games.
Quake 1/3 and UT99 still have unforgettable, unique audio/ambiance and Every last sound effect is distinct and memorable. And I didn't even play much UT99 back when it was popular but still remembered how much better UT99 was compared to ut2k3.
As for quake 4. What a POS. They'd have been better off digging through the archives of rumours and wishlists floating around prior to quake 3 and actually made the quake 3 we all were dreaming of and called that quake 4.
And the last doom had the most obvious "monster closets" ever. Horrible.
Serious Sam === Doom I/II (true)
Doom III === Half Life (HELL NO) - mitrovarr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6UT2003 wasn't great, but if you missed UT2004, you missed out. UT2004 fixed everything wrong with UT2003, and then some.
- Anoobis, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2But never improved on UT99. i still play that regularly. ie everyday ha ha
- DarkJC, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4UT2003 sucked. Everyone should've skipped it and just gotten UT2004.

- l34NDl20, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I can't wait for this one, and I really hope it gets native Linux Support from day 1.

Why? It's fairly simple. Mark Rein, yeah that guy that does things around Epic.
"We don't know when the game will be released but it won't be ready in time for September 3rd. In addition the idea that we would release the game in the US and UK several weeks apart is just plain silly."

Nice try though - Drull, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4Mark Rein (an Epic games Administrator)

Buried as inaccurate (don't get me wrong, I want this game more than anyone) - Slybri, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2That's the great thing about UT on the PC, the mod community. A few months after UT2004 came out there was a constant flow of new maps, mods, and total conversions for it. It was like playing a new game every day.
Plus the weapons of UT are a nice change from the typical machine gun, shotgun, rocketlauncher of every other game. - rowlodge, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1the old games were really good but then i never heard of halo either. we'll see. sneak peeks look good, this last onplayer was'nt my type of game.
- BoneDaddy64, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I was playing some UT99 Zark just the other night.

- harnoorminhas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0This is going top be the best multi player game release of 2007. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I am sure the hardware requirements are going to be sky-high. I am saving for the Graphics card and the physics engine card. Most probably I might have to get a new computer I think since I have an AMD 64 1.8 Ghz and my MB only has AGP slots, No fancy CLI slots etc. :(
