Super Mario Bros Voted Greatest Computer Game Ever

telegraph.co.uk — The classic platform game was first released in 1985 and has since become one of the biggest selling ever with more than 40 million copies flying off the shelves worldwide. The poll of 2,000 gamers, conducted by www.onepoll.com, revealed 'old skool' games are still firm favourites with Britain's army of gamers.

Lots of people hate it because the fact that it's good made a lot of people like it, but these days i see a lot more people whining about halo being overrated than people saying its the best thing ever made, and the people complaining have always been a lot louder and more annoying. Does this make Halo underrated?
    I'll probably get buried, but I'm just tired of seeing this kind of thing.

    Wii play? Wii sports? Tomb Raider? WTF
    Where is Zelda? Where is Super Metroid? Where is Castlevania SOTN? Yet they throw in Tomb Raider, and that game has not aged well.

    Anyone remember watching G4TV and seeing the "Gaming Hall of Fame"?
    Because thats exactly what happened.


    Halo doesn't deserve to be on the list. There is nothing in that game that didn't appear in previous games like Half-Life, Quake, and Tribes.

NES games had a fun factor that was so intense vs Atari 2600 games that if you didn't live through it, you'd have no way of telling... Unless... You picked up Atari 2600 now and played it for 5 years. It'd be like the complete opposite of that.

Why do some games have specific versions/generations listed (pokemon, gta) but others don't? (tomb raider, final fantasy, street fighter 2). C'mon! those two GTAs are just rehashed GTA 3. I can't help but think they either didn't find actual "gamers" or the poll was a restrictive stupid piece of *****.

    Also, what's with that ***** resolution image?
