New Duke Nukem Forever Teaser Trailer Released!

shacknews.com — As promised, first new Duke Nukem Forever video in over six years has been released. "The release is still 'when it's done,' but you can expect more frequent media releases and we're not changing engines again and we have considerable work behind us," Broussard told Shacknews. Original voice actor Jon St. John and composer Jeremy Soule involved.

You would think that with modern technology and in an age where bone can be cut by laser, wind can power cities, and cell phones and iPods meet they would at least show some respect to the Duke and not make him look completely fake. His body motions were completely wrong, his character modeling blew. This is all from a game which has been worked on for friggin ever. Honestly, how hard is it to release a good game when you already have teh storyline, character and villians lined up?

      I've kind of moved on... Played a lot of great games since then. They should of released 2 to 4 new Duke Nukem games in the last 10 years, with the technology of those years instead of just continuously throwing the games away.

      And by the way, I actually never played Doom 3 but I'm tempted to. I love the first two Dooms.

I asked a couple of 14 year olds the other day if they knew Duke Nukem, and they had NO CLUE. Kids don't know Duke Nukem, their hero is Master Chief. Secondly, for us older gamers, this Duke Nukem has some BIG SHOES to fill. So far the graphics don't look to impressive (for a game that's been in production for so long) and the gameplay better be out of our minds amazing. Because Duke Nukem 3d was a solid shooter, just having solid gameplay isn't enough to survive anymore. Now it needs to be different from everything else and meets beyond all of our expectations since there is just too much competition in the First Person Genre..

        10+ years to come out. Hell, even when they restarted production is still 6+ years. And we still don't have actual gameplay footage, but a TEASER trailer???? You've got to be kidding me, this is just more disappointing, not encouraging. I can't name any games that took more than 5 years to develop. Duke Nukem Forever = Fail. I enjoyed Duke Nukem 3D, but now it just feels.... over with.
