- bioluminous, on 11/03/2007, -1/+16@kenelm: Blizzard games ALWAYS support DirectX and OpenGL. They use OpenGL on macs, but on windows you can run the games in OGL too. So supporting linux wouldn't be that much harder, at least in some limited fashion.
- Salgat, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Remember that the Mac is runs on a Unix based OS (bsd/linux), so I'm sure porting it to Linux is a very feasible task.
- mrmonday1, on 11/03/2007, -2/+11Do It! Games for Linux!
- guitarfreek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8@Kenelm
Yeah but, Blizzard uses DirectX... And DirectX is probably the reason why most developpers make games for Windows, and not for Linux.
Mac DOESN'T use direct X, it uses open GL, same as Linux, so making it portable to Linux shouldnt be too difficult. - Ghozer, on 11/03/2007, -1/+8With users of linux on the rise, its about time more things supported it.
- Polygon89, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9do it!
- Faceleg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Scrap DX10, OpenGL! OpenGL! OpenGL!
Say it with me everybody!
OpenGL! OpenGL! OpenGL! - TastyBaconTreat, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5/waits for new "REAL REASON FOR NOT INSTALLING LINUX" comic/picture/article
- Fjinks, on 10/23/2007, -0/+4At least include OpenGL support to the Windows version, so it's likely to work in Wine!
- misconfig, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4This is something I was thinking about last night. I've been waiting for the release of SC2 since I started playing StarCraft, hopefully they'll make it possible for us Linux users to at LEAST port it easily, or even work with TransGaming INC to get things working, I'm not switching back to Windows no matter how much I love the game, this is something Blizzard will have to put into perspective, I've bought every game Blizzard has released with avid support and admiration for the corporation, I feel they make the best games possible unfortunately I will not buy this game until I know I'll be able to play it.
- Banangroda, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I do hope they port it to GNU/Linux... it would be a shame not to play it merely because of the non-existing linux version.
- Linkerator, on 11/03/2007, -0/+2I wrote a PDF for us to mail in to them:

What I do when I'm bored : ) - hoctro0104, on 11/03/2007, -0/+2Do it, love to play in Linux. Dam, I only need window for my game
- PlancksCnst, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2What's up with the two E-mail fields?
- PriceChild, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2/me drools at possiblity
- fktt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1@banagroda: indeed, a real shame it would be!
@blizzard: pretty please!!!! - SupremeMe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Please port Starcraft 2 to Linux! I already play World of Warcraft and Warcraft 3 on my Linux system but with Wine. It works, but not as good as I would like it to work. I would prefer a native game, so please make Starcraft 2 native Linux! I know my other Linux buddies would buy SC2 if it's being ported.
Please make my dream come true, port SC2 to Linux. No, wait. I beg you to port it to Linux. - jellystones, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1If Blizzard released a Linux version of Starcraft 2 I would switch to Linux for good. I hate to think Im going to have to have windows installed in the future just so I can play a Blizzard game.
- mcahriman, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1I will buy retail pack, if they will do that.
- abuion, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1I remember signing something simillar for World of Warcraft a year ago and still nothing. I do hope Blizzard will take us (the linux users) in mind. I hate to reboot every time to play a game. This is why I quited wow anyway.
- manat, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1Using Linux doesn't mean I'm not going to pay for a game. Do it!
- RamsesKahr, on 11/18/2008, -0/+0Definitely!
- timwizard, on 11/03/2007, -3/+1Don't do it! It'll extend the release date even farther in the future!
- Kenelm, on 10/11/2007, -10/+5Yeah but, Blizzard uses DirectX... And DirectX is probably the reason why most developpers make games for Windows, and not for Linux.
- chingy1788, on 10/11/2007, -14/+3They'll probably end up making it
but it will require 100 commands to get it installed and working
