The cool thing about Portal, is that the game has a true ending. Chell is free, GLaDOS can no longer harm her, the story is over, and I've no need to know what happens next.
If they ever make a sequel, it would ruin everything. But if they make a game related to the first one, just like they did at the end of Episode Two, and of course, having you play another character, I'm fine with it. The most they can do is equal it, and to be honest thats near impossible, as its story and execution was perfect. In all likelihood a sequel would be "almost as good", which would be a shame.
