- lowerlogic, on 02/14/2008, -0/+1This game looks cool. I really hope the game will have difficulty settings so I can set it to some wicked hard setting. That way I could spend days trying different creature designs and try to figure out how to make faster or stronger creatures and learn effective strategies for killing (or running away from) the various other creatures. Like I was just playing Half Life 2 again the other day and it turned into a really fun and challenging game when I decided to limit myself to just using the crowbar.
Well even if they don't make a really hard difficulty level I suppose I could make some ridiculous one-legged unbalanced creature and have fun trying to dominate the galaxy with it. - yohnstoppable, on 02/14/2008, -0/+1Happy Valentine's day to you too :(

- omnithought, on 02/14/2008, -3/+2These concepts of evolution and interaction of species in a game sounds far more interesting than a game where one just places fully developed creatures on a planet and gives them a bunch of silly rules to follow, lest they be made to suffer forever. Well, unless one is a complete sadist.

For example, the vegetation appears to be 2d but rotating to give 3d effect similar to what they did on Okami. I actually welcome this because my comp isn't exactly a beast. It's nothing to sneeze at but it needs RAM (512) and graphics card (64Mb) upgrades pretty badly.

I mean, people are STILL making ***** with mario paint, and it is STILL badass. If spore does a good job of the same, that will be a minor part of the game that will be awesome
