- AwesomeGuy666, on 07/17/2009, -1/+13I'm not nearly tech-savvy enough to create my own adventure, but I'll definitely play the hell out of someone else's!
- Tarule53, on 07/17/2009, -2/+7Dear Diggers,
Even here, on a nerds-only social network, you're afraid to post a comment because it might be inferred that you're a lonely young man who drinks mountain dew, has an avid interest in fantasy worlds, and actually watched the movie Eragon in theaters. Little did you know, you admitted as much when you dugg this article. Or possibly when you joined digg in the first place.
Be not ashamed. - LumpOfCole, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3"I think people are making as much of the cookie thing as they are the cheese thing with Alistair, even if in both cases it's a pretty minor point on the characters. It's not as if Sten runs around imitating the Cookie Monster or anything, gosh."
~ David Gaider, Lead Writer of Dragon Age: Origins
I already crafted Sten's side story:

- freetoex, on 07/29/2009, -0/+3I ***** love bioware, and this game looks amazing.
- CynicalTyler, on 07/17/2009, -0/+3You're kind of way off. The most obvious point is you listed all first-person RPGs, Baldur's Gate and NWN played in a top-down view (although I think you had more camera options in NWN2). But more importantly, Oblivion, Fable, and Mass Effect were far more action-oriented. They're generally about how well you swing your swords and fire your guns. BG and NWN games are about how you utilize your party's resources and skills, which I'd say is a more strategic sort of game. You're never aiming your character's weapon. Plus the fact that they're built on the D&D system means they have the depth that only 35 years of game development can bring.
- ControversedDig, on 11/10/2009, -0/+2LOL these fake comments are amazing.
- Firgof, on 07/17/2009, -1/+3Excellent. I've used and am familiar with all the core functions of the Aurora and Electrum Engines and I see they've done a lot of work on this new toolset in many of the areas I desired improvement.
The toolset that Bioware has provided has offered people thousands of hours of replayability. At least 20 games per month, with maps and adventures created on-the-fly at times by enterprising Dungeon Masters (hosts) as their story develops; BioWare has had the strongest core following of storytellers and designers of companies that provide robust toolsets which can go online that I am aware of.
I hope -this- time though that they actually include the online tools we had to reinvent for NWN2. GMs would certainly rejoice and by the ridiculous amount of support the suite of tools has I'm sure they've noticed it by now. - atomiku, on 11/16/2009, -0/+2I've already began playing this game, but when I get paid next week I'm gonna go to the nearest store and buy it. Such a great game. Well done, Bioware. Allowing users to build their own gameplay is going to be an absolute bonus for me, as well. I'm looking forward to playing some user-generated content!
- LightPhoenix, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2Dragon Age: Origins is single player only.
- vaeldas, on 07/17/2009, -2/+4I've been sitting here wondering what the next big MMO is going to be to take me away from WoW (I know, I know), and then I realized that this game is going to fill the void far better than any community of 12 year olds ever will.
Plus these guys are doing the Star Wars MMO? It is a good time to be a gamer I think :) - Edgers, on 11/16/2009, -0/+2I ***** love mountain dew
- falcon707, on 11/10/2009, -0/+2Holy crap. Could these comments be any more scripted?
- forevernomad, on 07/17/2009, -0/+2This could be the coolest game, I just wonder if the community made content will be available to console users, as this is always the sticking point for game longevity, I'm a PC gamer so mods and additional content have always been there, but with many games now combining the multiplayer element cross-platform, console users are still at a disadvantage by not being able to utilise community made content. I hope Bioware make this leap and open up a whole new market to what are some of the best parts of many games like this.
- blaket, on 07/17/2009, -1/+3Very smart move. As we know with Digg adding a social component to a product really increases its chances at success.
I admit I was semi-interested in this game, but now I'll probably end up buying it at release. - magicrat405, on 07/27/2009, -0/+2I'm not a big fan of Bioware, but they do make good toolsets.
- addysonclark, on 07/17/2009, -1/+2Dugg of a song of ice and fire reference.
- rustygb, on 11/17/2009, -0/+1No time for community when I'm hopelessly addicted to the campaign...
http://www.mepreport.com/2009/11/procrastination-o ... - Firgof, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1Gah. I missed that, then. Thanks for the info.
- petesapai, on 07/17/2009, -0/+1I'm really looking forward to this one, but I never played baldur's gate so I have no idea how these types of games play. Is it a cross between oblivion and fable? Or Oblivion and mass effect? Or am I WAY OFF?
- falcon707, on 11/10/2009, -0/+1Do you really think anyone is going to believe this is a real comment? "AwesomeGuy666" ... SERIOUSLY!?
- Kromel, on 11/16/2009, -0/+1Agreed. Everything Bioware creates makes me wet.
- InfernoX, on 11/17/2009, -0/+1Coming from "Falcon707".
- AlyxVance, on 11/16/2009, -1/+1***** dragon age!
- phoenixman2007, on 07/17/2009, -2/+1http://www.gmstop.com/jocuri/179/Dangerous-Descent ... - prototype :))
- CWUalex, on 07/17/2009, -6/+2I saw this game at PAX 08, and it was HORRIBLE.

What is Digg?
