- Checkerd, on 03/20/2009, -0/+46You're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.
- B4T3R, on 03/20/2009, -0/+37I think this is a good move bly Blizzard. Making it seem more like Steam is probably the best possible move, especially with so many users.
- replaysMike, on 03/20/2009, -3/+39I'm sure this is also in preperation for Starcraft 2. Is this a hint Blizzard? Are you gonna drop Starcraft 2 on us soon? No? ***** you then.
- GRAVEWiSH, on 03/20/2009, -0/+343v1comp Bloodbath...NO BACKSTAB!
- entropysteak, on 03/20/2009, -1/+32one step closer to the release of starcraft 2!
- Abatrour, on 03/20/2009, -0/+26And Diablo 3
- AznViperXT, on 03/20/2009, -0/+25You must construct additional Pylons.
- Rivfader, on 03/20/2009, -0/+23I really like that you can enter a cd key and get the digital download version of it too. I can finally play starcraft again because my cd got busted. Long live Blizzard!
- newsboys, on 03/20/2009, -0/+20Shh! Don't anger the blizzard lords. Wait patiently and you will have your reward...

- lichmicro, on 03/20/2009, -0/+10I want battle.net to stay out of my LAN at all times
steam does not do that - cynic573, on 03/20/2009, -0/+10(Insert random Korean characters my computer can't display here)
- Scottyx38, on 03/20/2009, -0/+10Wise move Blizzard!
- Tunic, on 03/20/2009, -1/+10I remember when you didn't have the choice of which server you played on.
You would login to Diablo 2, and see "Server hosted by AT&T" then hope your friends were on that same server, or just reconnect and try again to get the same one.
Kids now have it so easy with their steam and filters and *****. - inactive, on 03/20/2009, -0/+9"Stay a while, and listen"
I'm so pumped for Diablo 3 - Rapter09, on 03/20/2009, -0/+8Blizzard was a little slow on the uptake with this. Though, I doubt anybody thought of it at the time, Battle.net was very well positioned to be first Steam-like service before Steam came about. Blizzard already had all of their games under one roof. They had one unified service to login to to play all of their games, and all of the people playing different games can interact with each other.
It wasn't a lame third party download like Gamespy's pathetic little launcher, or like Microsoft's old MSN Games or whatever it was (I used to play the original Age of Empires on there). It was such a smooth process to play online.
In fact, until Diablo 2 ruined it all, Blizzard's Battle.net servers were pretty much unified until the giant influx of players started server splits, and then eventually led to the split (USEast, USWest, Asian etc.) But if Blizzard is now taking the steam route, I think it will be a very interesting service to see mature. Steam has come leaps and bounds since it was first introduced. - drmangrum, on 03/20/2009, -0/+8"Soon" has to be defined

GET OFFA MAH LAWN - albel65, on 03/20/2009, -0/+7Is anyone else getting a "battle.net uses an invalid security certificate." error?
- IanG73, on 03/20/2009, -1/+8It's been like that for a long time under Blizzard Accounts..
- OMGIAMTHEMAN, on 03/20/2009, -0/+7I used to PK people like you on useast hardcore. I had a mule full of ears
- DifferentAngle, on 03/20/2009, -1/+8Adding Blizzard games to Steam would be the best possible move.
- Rikushix, on 03/20/2009, -0/+7Man, this is amazing. Valve and Blizzard are my two favorite game developers, and looks like Blizzard is taking a step in the right direction.
I'm especially impressed with the function to download the client to any computer for any game you own. I've already merged my WoW account, added Starcraft, Diablo II, and Warcraft III to my games list...now if only I could add Warcraft, I feel so old school for owning the game the started it all. - KMartSheriff, on 03/20/2009, -0/+67v1 HARD COMP!!
- Asrrin29, on 03/20/2009, -0/+6I hope if I upgrade my old diablo account with info it won't link to my deactivated WoW account. I've been clean of that crack for almost 2 years and I don't need a reminder of it every time I log into one of Blizzard's games.
- mabsark, on 03/20/2009, -0/+5Warcraft is still good. Warcraft > Red Alert 3. In fact, Warcraft >> Red Alert 3.
- Slizzo, on 03/20/2009, -1/+6Aw come on!! Whoever dugg this down deserves to die a horrible death!
- Railz, on 03/20/2009, -1/+6Uh, What're you smoking sir. I put in my Original Starcraft CD key, and it allowed me to download both SC and SC:BW
What you CAN'T put in is WC2 and Diablo, which by my accounts is fair enough. - j0se, on 03/20/2009, -0/+5If they get Starcraft 2 out first =D
- superterrorizer, on 03/21/2009, -0/+5You know, Blizz and Valve are seriously on top of the world right now. It's a prime example of what happens when you actually give a ***** about your customers.
They both simply get "it." - BHRecon, on 03/20/2009, -0/+5there's nothing stopping them from signing up... and it has all those games as well
- Eldorian, on 03/20/2009, -0/+5SC2 Beta is coming very very soon (within 2 weeks)
- ry4nsm1th, on 03/20/2009, -0/+4The account is used for the Blizzard store also I believe.
- AbominableHoman, on 03/20/2009, -0/+4I'm firing up Wc3 for some good ol' DotA right now.
- Deatheragenator, on 03/21/2009, -0/+4I don't think that Blizz will do that since they have WoW, because we could also look at this like its a station/mmo launcher
- WernerCD, on 03/20/2009, -1/+5I know that i would personally rebuy Blizzard games if offered on Steam. 3 copies personally. I doubt blizzard would do that tho... would be too awesome :(
- clinko, on 03/20/2009, -0/+3"Have some pie, pie pie pie."
- ligyron, on 03/20/2009, -0/+3Anyone can create an account. All you really need is a CD-key to download the game. So yes, you can borrow your friend's CD-key assuming it's valid and works on Battle.net. They don't care about any of that and you're not being tracked. The only restriction is that two people can't be on the same server at the same time with the same CD-key.
