Is rape worse than murder? I certainly wouldn't say it's "better" as they're both horribly inhumane acts, but I also wouldn't say it's worse. Basically..I'm calling a lot of people hypocrites.

The producer of the game doesn't sell games here for this reason, Americans are too sensitive over fantasy material. Our culture has more or less glamorized the act of violence and killing by incorporating it into our TV shows, movies and video games as fictional entertainment.
Rape, however, remains taboo. We haven't incorporated it into our mainstream culture in the same way, mostly because it's a much more personal, emotional crime, and it has a much deeper connection with mental instability.

Fun anecdote: All of the lady friends I am close with who have been to Japan have mentioned they never have fear when walking late at night by themselves in ANY town in Japan. They could never ever say the same for many cities in the US.
