It is keyboard-equivalent for Guitar Hero and kinda addicting especially when you get your fav commercial songs *cough* torrents *cough*. You play with F1-F5 and shift holding the keyboard like a guitar. It's rewarding when you are able to play some Children of Bodom songs almost perfectly. Slayer is a whole another story... It's also open-source.

There are two teams that work on the CoD games - EA wants to milk it while it's popular, so they've decided to release one cod game per year. Infintry ward handled CoD4, and they will handle CoD6.. - RainStreet, on 07/22/2008, -0/+6Also, FoF is way more fun if you have the Xbox360 Guitar Hero Explorer USB guitar. Windows will automatically install the driver for it when you plug it in. Just edit the key configuration in FoF settings and you're good to go. I don't have an Xbox360, but I picked up said guitar controller at a used game shop. I know someone made a driver for OSX. Dunno about Linux.

Bewbs - bratterscain, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4I'm hooked as well. I'd recommend the Alarian mod, get it from the FoF site to make it a lot more like Guitar Hero and more interesting. For the keys, I use QWER*spacebar*, seems more natural.

They also dropped the "5" from Treyarch's next game, it's simply called, "Call of Duty: World at War" now. Too bad they can't retroactively go back and remove the "3" from COD3, and set the record straight.
I'll play World At War's campaign, but COD4's multiplayer will likely remain more popular, and will likely remain a better game on the whole. - skrowl, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4CoD5 is back to stupid ass WW2. I hope it flops so they'll stick with modern for CoD6.

- jholden42, on 07/23/2008, -0/+2The fact that the list doesn't include Kingdom of Loathing, which might as well be the seminal largely-graphics-free MMO in the no-graphics MMO list (while including Twilight Heroes, a game descended from it) is appalling; worse, however, is the absence of Nethack, more or less the king of roguelike games, in the section containing several other roguelikes.

- malibusurf, on 07/22/2008, -1/+2Its good to see some freeware games getting some exposure, i know for sure that Frets on Fire is excellent -it has full support for X360 guitars and is a must for anyone who loves Guitar Hero as its fully customizable and has an unprecidented number of tracks available (admittedly some are beyond terrible in their implementation.)
