- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -8/+25Gay.
- jrattner1, on 07/05/2008, -2/+18Sad story....These sprinters spend their entire lives trying to get into the Olympics, it's sad to see one fall and miss their dreams

- arjie, on 07/06/2008, -1/+11Wow, just last week he ran the fastest 100m sprint in all conditions ever. It wasn't a world record because it was wind assisted, but it was pretty damn impressive. Imagine that, he's covering more than 10m every second.

So this is rather sad news. Other sad news of much less importance is about the coders who wrote the stuff for this comment box. - Rally603, on 07/06/2008, -3/+12Don't kid yourself...
- fenix61, on 07/06/2008, -3/+10Since when did we start digging injuries unless it's funny?
- blanketfury, on 07/06/2008, -1/+8Your rules are pretty gay
- EvilCan, on 07/06/2008, -0/+7My cousin's last name is Gay.
Well it was...until he changed it the day he turned 18. - callinthelaw69, on 07/06/2008, -0/+7Why is there a 5 minute video for a 10 second race?
Don't get me wrong...I love the 100...but a 5 minute video for it? Eh. - demesisx, on 07/06/2008, -0/+5oh man. That's worse than being rick-rolled, yet somehow I watched it until the very end.
- stupidStan, on 07/06/2008, -5/+10come on people, despite the article being sad, that was clever!
- Vitamin, on 07/06/2008, -0/+4You mean like this :-)
http://www.reason.com/blog/show/127271.html - StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -0/+4Gay and Bolt? Must. Resist. Puns.
- VinnieDaMac, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3This happened to me once when I used to run track in high school. I felt like crap since I couldn't compete after I injured myself, I can't even imagine how pissed Tyson Gay is. I wish him a quick recovery.
- matts009, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3Homosexual tumbles?
- Gonasadude, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3Nobody likes when somebody gets hurt, but now a guy from my high school (Travis Padgett, who came in 2nd by 0.01 seconds) will get to run.
Go Travis!

- balazsbela, on 07/06/2008, -1/+4Something is flying on the track on the video before he falls.
Maybe it hit his leg?

Too bad, I feel sorry for him. - teh_spazz, on 07/06/2008, -0/+3***** *****.
This blows, it's hard to see an athlete who excels at his sport not be able to qualify for what he's best at. :( - SaladCactusKing, on 07/06/2008, -1/+4Peter Griffin, is that you?
- piccard, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2he broke free of the matrix momentarily...
/obscure - DesertDude, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2Self-expression is clearly not a problem for you.
- bxblox, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2He can still run the 100m if he's up to it.
- whorunbartertwn, on 07/06/2008, -0/+2Running in the 200 meter finals today for USA:
Xavier Carter - 3rd fastest 200 meter dash time in history 19.63 (after Gay, Michael Johnson)
Wallace Spearmon - 4th fastest 200 meter dash time in history 19.65
Walter Dix - 6th fastest 200 meter dash time in history 19.69
Shawn Crawford - Gold medalist 200 meters 2004 Athens
Bernard Williams - Silver medalist 200 meters 2004 Athens
Somehow I think USA will be competitive without Tyson. - unitedkronos, on 07/06/2008, -1/+3That only works if you have first post, someone else beat you to it.
- aelias, on 07/06/2008, -1/+3Dugg for Gay.
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2wooo dude!...you are the man!..
DroogInPhoenix ***** YEAH!!!
*Grow up* - Mth3ory, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Whats the white thing that seems to come off his heel when he goes airborn?
- inactive, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1It's ok that you dont understand humor. I am sure it was a bitch. I bet you felt more powerful by burring me and comment... You are the real man.
- norris0hy3ah, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2I know
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Yeah, everyone here is being so insensitive to the guy.
Please call him Tyson HOMOSEXUAL. - ama5707, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2it's 2 am...the first thing I saw in the headline was "Gay tumbles" XD
- blanketfury, on 07/06/2008, -2/+3You're pretty gay for pointing that out
- Dundasbro, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2You really shouldn't talk about yourself that way...
- whorunbartertwn, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1It was a cramp and they think he'll be fine.
He'll represent USA in 100 and the 4x100 relay. - Bladwor, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1You know, I've thought about it long and hard... and you've got a point, I couldn't about running either.
- EverTheCynic, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Obviously that photographer set him up somehow. Look at how convenient his position is for taking pictures of the injured athlete. Very fishy.
- Clodhopper, on 07/06/2008, -1/+2Nice ***** of fail.
- Pusod, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Damn that sucks! I was looking forward to him running the 200m
- maadmonkey, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1No, you.
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -1/+2Yet still ripe for hilarious innuendo.
- LuxFX, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1A good friend of mine broke her leg in a track meet in high school. She was running hurdles, and snapped her femur in mid-jump, just from the pull of her own muscles. It's sad to see injuries like this happen to athletes who are working themselves so hard.
(my friend was in surgery for five hours to put a titanium rod in her leg -- and another five hours to remove the gravel that was embedded in her teeth) - inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Same this happened to my friend, cept it was her radius. She would've been really good too.
- whorunbartertwn, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1The fastest any human being has covered 100 meters is impressive regardless of a wind speed. What have you accomplished?
- Texmurphy01, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1If Tara Strong were my personal nurse, I would be able to as well.
- inactive, on 07/06/2008, -0/+1Not... That good? His 100m PB is 9.68
