- SillyDigger, on 07/01/2008, -1/+31This article pisses me off.
- FredFredrickson, on 07/01/2008, -4/+22I am done caring about the Olympics. There's too many drugged athletes, too many ridiculous advantages (swimmers should all be wearing the same swimsuits), and too much hype. These people aren't competing for athletic greatness - it's just a race for the biggest sponsorship. I don't give a ***** about that. It's too commercial now.
- zerhynn, on 07/01/2008, -0/+17#1: Turn on your television.
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -1/+18Great, my chance to go see the Olympics!!
"if you're a corporate big shot with a private jet"
...WTF... - ReligionIsBad, on 07/01/2008, -0/+14Wait....How does this apply to diggers?
- RealmDown, on 07/01/2008, -1/+11and too much of a politic fulcrum for activists and governmental agendas.
- Gosunkugi, on 07/01/2008, -4/+12Oh, thank god. I thought it might be expensive or something.
- jordan314, on 07/01/2008, -0/+8Finally, an article that only applies to rich CEOs.
- Mattarang, on 07/01/2008, -1/+9"I am done caring about the MLB. There's too many drugged athletes, too many ridiculous advantages (all teams should have one Derek Jeter), and too much hype. - NathanCH, on 07/01/2008, -4/+11I prefer the comfort (and safety) of my home.
- zavigny, on 07/01/2008, -0/+6The first line, "Interested in attending the Olympics but didn't plan ahead?" is the Digger part.
- yournamehere, on 07/01/2008, -0/+6family members don't count
- 9bpm9, on 07/01/2008, -1/+6All the swimmers are wearing the new suits, they are doing blood tests on all athletes which can detect essentially any drug, and infact, the Olympics bans pretty much every single drug, even if you take an asprin, you're banned.
So, learn something about the drug program before you whine about something you don't know about. - inactive, on 07/01/2008, -1/+6Sneak over the great wall?
- KingGorilla, on 07/01/2008, -0/+5Yeah I totally have $40,000 to burn
- shutaro, on 07/01/2008, -1/+6Which tour is the one that lets me club protesters?
- ShrimpCrackers, on 07/01/2008, -7/+12I'm not boycotting the Olympics nor do I encourage anyone to do so, as I like the scrutiny that China must go through. That said I can't see myself comfortable with this considering the Tibetan massacre they had just a few months ago, and the fact that they just deployed 200 of their most advanced missiles aimed at Taiwan, on top of the 1200+ they already have aimed at it. Human Rights Watch gave China a worse grade, yet again. The Bodies Exhibits have announced that they are no longer using cadavers from China as some of them had wounds that were just questionable.
The Chinese government just wants war and murder, and it can do so without my involvement what-so-ever. - inactive, on 07/01/2008, -1/+5I'd rather watch the bootleg.
- freakstyle571, on 07/01/2008, -0/+4its Forbes, what did you expect?
- burjzyntski, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3If I was a rich CEO, I'd have someone go through digg and relay this important information to me.
I'd also have someone wash my hands. - RandomCommenter, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3Lets not and say we did
- hokie47, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3It's no secret that being rich basically means you can do anything you want, like doing two women at the same time.
- akrondude, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3$40,000 for two? I'll take 4! i'll use two of them and burn the extras; y'know, cuz I'm rich and all that.
this is got dugg why? - inactive, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3You mom and sister do not count!
- davidrools, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3swimmers should swim nekked. except the dudes.
- TrevorPace, on 07/01/2008, -0/+3You can else get this with the right amount of alcohol and not being a digg regular.
- haikuFU, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2***** the Olympics. They solely exist now to make money for the IOC and for all of the corporations involved with them. I don't want to watch 20 minutes of commercials to see 5 minutes of an event.
- Floomdesk, on 07/01/2008, -1/+3if this is on digg now... how is it still a secret?
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -3/+5I've scoured the internet trying to find videos of The Special Olympics and i can't. No torrents...no nothing. It sucks. I want to see the hilarity.
- madk, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2I agree. No reason to boycott the games themselves. If anything the Olympics is going to put China under a larger microscope. No reason to punish the athletes or other countries competing in the one event that truly brings the world together. Go world!
- drexl, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2Magic Eight Ball predicts: Abduction is Imminent
- Niz1, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2"if you're a corporate big shot with a private jet" made me hover the close tab x
" and more than $40,000 to burn" made me click it - TrevorPace, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2I'm sorry you're wrong aspirin is definitely still allowed. Off the shelf painkillers are allowed and things like Tylenol and cold medicines.
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2Too much drag?
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2I just signed up for the tour that lets me have an all-you-can-eat buffet of sea snake, scorpion, dung beetle, cat, horse, dog, and deep fried platypus!
- jessenoob, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND dollars!
- jdeboer, on 07/01/2008, -1/+3Almost as bad as the ways to kill time in an airport?
- yargthepirate, on 07/01/2008, -0/+2And for you people who want secret ways to see the Olympics, here's a way for you to go to China and not see the Olympics!
"If you want to avoid Beijing altogether, there are still other high-priced options, including, if you book and fly in a hurry, an 11-day, $5,445-per-person (six-person minimum) trip to far western China for a horse festival far off the beaten path, offered by the specialty travel company WildChina." - FredFredrickson, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1I wasn't whining. I was stating the fact that I don't give a ***** about the Olympics.
I see you didn't address my point of it being over commercialized... but I don't blame you. There's not much that can be said about that, other than it sucks. - RealmDown, on 07/01/2008, -1/+2They love commercials ?
- poidh, on 07/01/2008, -2/+3Still probably better to boycott it though. Just check the medal tally to satisfy your curiosity.
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -1/+2Well it's Olympics...not Jeopardy.
- aggiejaa, on 07/01/2008, -1/+2i'd rather read about getting drunk faster by drinking through my ass
- akrondude, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1
*this got dugg why?
sorry about the typo, didn't see it before. - Shakermaker, on 07/01/2008, -1/+2So, I guess they aren't secret anymore...
- shutaro, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1Yes.
- shutaro, on 07/01/2008, -0/+1Actually, it's all just ground up newspaper with a little flavoring...
