I'm not sure if NBC/Universal understands that the concept of "tape-delay" doesn't really work in 2008. You would think a global broadcaster would have some sense of how these things should go down.

I think people are getting upset that China is beating out the US, but people need to realize that every athlete there is absolutely amazing. Phelps, Bolt, He Xin, Rice, they are all amazing people. It's just awesome to watch

I watch the Olympics as much as I watch Football, WNBA (or basketball period), Hockey, Soccer, Figure Skating, Wrestling, BMX, Skateboarding, Skiing, Snowboarding, Surfing, Tennis, Golf, Public TV, Reality TV, the State of the Union address, sessions of congress, soap operas, any TV shows broadcast in a language I don't speak, Oxygen (the channel), Teletubbies, or anything else that doesn't interest me.

Give me Stargate, Doctor Who, Eureka, Smallville, or Heroes any day.

P.S. I never would have guessed there was an Olympic Burying team.

I'm more of a Winter Olympics man myself.

Even if they aren't juiced, you have underaged girls from China, professional sports players playing, to have parity with China, a fake opening ceremony etc. You can't escape it on TV in the news, you don't even have to watch it to see it

Just because the US coaches can't believe that they got beaten fairly by somebody else (Credit to the US team themselves though, they are much more mature than their coach).

Fake opening ceremony? Where? The fireworks that they actually did do, but had CGI backup because they didn't want someone dying filming them from above? Oh yeah, that's just brutal there. How dare people not die to bring you video of fireworks from above.
