- velorek, on 08/15/2008, -1/+12Is this the kind of Internet we want? Insert_Country only ?
It happened to me as well the other day trying to watch a video of the Olympics from BBC, it said "not available in your country".It's just sad. Free the Internet!! - zakool21, on 08/15/2008, -0/+9***** seriously. Just moved to Canada this week. First invasive border patrol, now only selected content online?
What's next, limited selection in the iTunes music store? Oh wait.... - stimpack, on 08/15/2008, -4/+12***** Hulu up it's US-only butthole.
- jkleinfeld, on 08/15/2008, -1/+9Hello there international buddy

- inactive, on 08/15/2008, -2/+9What the hell are you talking about?
- KlogereEndGrim, on 08/15/2008, -0/+7Buried for US only. This is not just about some funny video, this is about the fact that the internet is supposed to be uniting people, like here on digg, not dividing them by country.
***** thing SUCKS. - xeno439, on 08/15/2008, -2/+9***** Hulu
- xeno439, on 08/15/2008, -0/+6also sucks for us Americans that are not in America

- sweetholymosiah, on 08/15/2008, -0/+5You know I clicked on it anyway, knowing it was US only. Canada's not so far away. BURIED.
- Alupark, on 08/15/2008, -0/+4Buried for being on US only site
- Hollow5, on 08/15/2008, -2/+6buried, don't submit cheap ass sites to digg please.
- MiIhouse, on 08/15/2008, -3/+7wow, a big "***** off" to you.
I bet you that the international diggers account for at least a two digit percentage, and thus diggers should honestly stop ***** sending Hulu links. This is one of many reasons why Americans are so hated on the world, because you don't put anyone else into consideration, you got the whole "deal with it policy". This website is a ***** website understand? thus it is OPEN TO THE REST OF THE WORLD. Do you know how it feels like for everyone else to be in on a joke except you? thats how we feel. So be a good host and don't dick around.
It also pisses me off that you think that a petition would do anything, if absolutely everyone in the world but Americans (over 5.9billion people) signed that petition Hulu wouldn't give a *****, sure they would be impressed, but they would not give a *****. Hulu is an American company, and it has acquired permission to broadcast those clips/shows only in the US.
In conclusion, bitching about it on digg is the only thing we can do, so that hopefully everyone would get the message, and start considering digg as an international website.
P.S. I'm Canadian. - Hollow5, on 08/15/2008, -1/+5the site is ok, it's just wrong to submit it to digg
- cassaffousth, on 08/15/2008, -1/+5Buried for US only
- tewstep, on 08/15/2008, -4/+7"he probably doesn't have much pain now, but he's really gonna feel that in the morning"
- LeRenard, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3I love when companies think geopolitical borders have some sort of meaning on the internet. "But, but... we have all these laws we worked for so long on!"
- MiIhouse, on 08/15/2008, -1/+4non-americans cant watch hulu.
- BohicaTwentyTwo, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3This skit was the first thing I thought of.
- hillkiwi, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3"Sorry, currently our video library can only be streamed from within the United States".
Damn internet. - dizavin, on 08/15/2008, -0/+3"HULU is only available for streaming in the United States"
what a failure. - deevay, on 08/15/2008, -1/+3Wow milhouse......go make a grilled cheese or something.
- forevernomad, on 08/15/2008, -2/+4I wish you had something witty to say as well.
Do you even know what BBC stands for? The beeb is paid for by everyone with a TV in the UK, this is the reason there are no adverts, 'cos we pay for the shows directly.
Now I think you were saying something about why you're an idiot. - crowbarred, on 08/15/2008, -1/+3thanks brother
- inactive, on 08/15/2008, -0/+2Buried for US only
***** HULU - KlogereEndGrim, on 08/15/2008, -0/+2***** don't spam this site with your webpage.
I hate Scientology as much as the next man, but posting irrellevant ads on digg is only going to annoy ppl who are already on our page. - inactive, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1Reading comprehension doesn't help when the message is incoherent to begin with. And judging by Diggs, I'd say people agree with me rather than you.
- afruff23, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2Wait, so eve if you don't watch the BBC, you still pay for it when you buy a TV (like some sort of tax)? That's messed up.
- frankenfag, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2Dennis Miller + Olympics + Hulu = Buried.
- jsudesign, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1dude, I know wtf?!
- dhughes, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1 Bit by bit it's the free (neutral) Internet fading away, corporations don't get the 'World Wide' part of WWW.
- KaiserArny, on 08/15/2008, -2/+3By the number of buries, international users outnumber Americans.
- forevernomad, on 08/15/2008, -0/+1The basic principle is, that if you own a TV you have to buy a TV license, works out at about £130 for the year and there's a £1000 fine if you don't pay and they catch you.
I don't watch TV, haven't for over 2 years now, I've not missed anything I want to watch and so far I've saved about what £300, which is what my new PC just cost me. Now I get to watch everything online when I want to.
As more and more people start to use the web to watch stuff and use their TVs for DVDs and consoles, I don't think it will have long left before they are forced to have adverts and get rid of it completely. - pp7k, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2Just bury. If non-US users bury everything not available eventually these idiots may clue in...or die. Either way.
