    Maybe someone who knows more about the human body can explain if this is possible/how it works.
    • nixonrichard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6There's a small duct that connects your eye socket to the back of your nose. It's not a tear duct, but this duct IS used to drain tears out of your eye. Apparently it can be used to drain cigarette smoke into your nose too.
    • fredricko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You are probably right. As an infant my eyes would water uncontrollably. (I can't remember what the exact medical term for it is). Anyways, I had to have surgery to have the problem fixed.

      Interestingly, now when my sinuses are clear I am able to force air out through (what I am assuming is) my right tear duct. And when I am particularly sick, if I sneeze or blow my nose without closing my right eye...well let's call it a third nostril. I'm sure there is some correlation between this and my childhood problem.

    The man is using a combination of his eustation tubes and tear drainage ducts in order to do this. The mouth, ears and eyes are all interconnected because of this, making it possible. So it isn't smoking out of his eye socket, he is smoking out of a small hole in that little ball you have in the corner of your eye near your nose.
