But, instead, since most of the people who feel bad about their virginity are relatively young and thus impressionable, we embrace the mindset that having sex is proof of desirability, of status. But, that was true even before feminism.

          I will admit that the loss of more reasonable methods of proving dominance and superiority have caused a rise in this particular contest, but I'd need to see evidence that it's feminism, rather than the general disdain for violence, that has caused this.

            Having said that, would like to point out that you misinterpret aggressiveness in a closed "mechanized" system. While aggressiveness out in the jungle or even in a mountainous village would mean killing your fellow man and raping his wife, in the most complex metropolitan environment in which most of the contemporary culture is being created it would mean thinking outside of the system. Male aggressiveness then is more closely related with rebelliousness against the faults of the system rather than a more practical form of violence. Such a rebelliousness could be shown against the high regard of sex (which as you correctly pointed out is malicious and I also have to add that it actually comes from sexual repression, rather than the other way around) which would relegate the male AND the female ego to a slave mentality, but that's exactly what I don't see. Aggressive males don't give a ***** (to put it mildly) what social taboos are, docile, feminine (in mentality) males are accepting passively every cultural filth that it may be served to them even if it's malicious to their well being.

            Maybe I was wrong to accuse feminism, but I think a movement to emancipate males is even more needed. If you ask myself it was the males insecurities what caused women to have a relegated status not (so much) women's docility, women were always relatively free thinking even in their limited environment, it was men who mostly needed emancipation (from taboos, not women) and still do.....
