- justaskyourmom, on 02/05/2009, -3/+113"Police estimate she has spent almost five million won to take the written test, with each test costing 6,000 won (£2,980) in addition to other expenses."
That sentence makes me think each test costs two thousand nine hundred and eighty pounds.
6000 won is about 3 british pounds, times that by 771 and you get 2313, "in addition to other expenses" probably makes up the rest of the 2980 figure but I think the author has put it in the wrong spot.

- raveye, on 02/05/2009, -1/+82i shudder to think of the day...she....actually ...gets her license...oh my
- ironeus, on 02/05/2009, -1/+78Maybe lucky # 777 will do the trick.

Asian Women Driving - complete FAIL - mikbunn, on 02/05/2009, -3/+68No seriously, why can't she drive?
Because she's dead. - UnpossibIe, on 02/05/2009, -9/+61That's 771 times she could have kept her ass in the kitchen!
- Holk23, on 02/05/2009, -2/+44This chick is like a real life spongebob
- justinlarsen, on 02/05/2009, -0/+36No, you should still feel bad.
- mikbunn, on 02/05/2009, -0/+33That is almost the least ironic thing possible.
- Thomaschaaf, on 02/05/2009, -1/+31I would call that bruteforcing :D

- mikbunn, on 02/05/2009, -0/+29Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering how this could possibly help her business if she's spent well over two million dollars failing a test daily.
And how the hell doesn't she know the answers yet? - LilStinker, on 02/05/2009, -7/+33Why shouldn't women be allowed to drive?
Because there are no roads between the kitchen and bedroom. - j3ff86, on 02/05/2009, -8/+32I think you mean Anne Frank.
- mikbunn, on 02/05/2009, -0/+24Oops, too late.
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -3/+27 Um... I don't think they should let her keep taking it. Obviously something greater than us is trying to keep this bitch off the road.
- leaprinces, on 02/05/2009, -7/+29One should never lose hope!!!!
- Steeeeve1, on 02/05/2009, -2/+23"I wonder if she will try again for the 772nd time."
I don't think she should. If she fails again, she might look stupid or something. - aklu, on 02/05/2009, -1/+21I thought for sure this was going to be an Onion article. Now I'm all disappointed and stuff.
- mnemy, on 02/05/2009, -1/+19You'd think that dumb luck would have gotten her to pass by now if she just marked answers randomly.
And you'd think she would remember which ones she got wrong by now. methinks she shouldnt be on the road. - inactive, on 02/05/2009, -4/+22damn, I cant stop thinking about the soldier that took his own teeth away.
Im just in front of the computer making faces and imagine how much that hurt!
about the Korean woman, well... that is perseverance, and baaaaad planning. Instead of taking the test everyday, she should do some hard 2 week studying and then trying again. - absolutelytrue, on 05/26/2009, -1/+19Wow. I wonder if someone holds her place in line every day?
- assHOE, on 02/05/2009, -3/+20Cue the asian driver comments
- shutaro, on 02/05/2009, -4/+21FAIL!
- AmyVernon, on 02/05/2009, -1/+18I'd think they'd have a cap on the number of times you could take the test. I'd hope, at least. This woman should never ever be allowed to get her license.
- Aerandir, on 02/05/2009, -0/+16Did you even read the ***** article?
"68 YEARS OLD, South Korean Woman...in the southwestern city of Jeonju..."
...Because our public school system is somehow related to South Korean women from Jeonju...
You are 24 and yet you are labeling women with non-sense stereotypes... YOU sound like a product of our public school system. - DanBoodro, on 02/05/2009, -0/+16<( ^_^ )>

Either one is appropriate.
Que = What, in Spanish, he wasn't correcting anyone. - blackrage, on 02/05/2009, -1/+16I hope you say that as that old bag drive thru your livingroom
- Llanowar, on 02/05/2009, -0/+15*2980 ***** British Pounds
But, 6000 Won is actually £2,98
Quite a lot cheaper than it appears in the article. - kingjaydub, on 02/05/2009, -1/+16When I saw the headline saying a woman failed the driving test 771 times and then that it was an Asian lady, I seriously took a double take to see if this was from the onion.
- NinjaBoy, on 02/05/2009, -3/+17Sounds to me more of a mental health issue. Kinda sad.
- UltraDavid, on 02/05/2009, -0/+13ctrl+f "spongebob"

- mikbunn, on 02/05/2009, -5/+17Why can't Anne Frank drive?
She's a woman.
Seriously, why can't Anne Frank drive?
A car can't fit in a crawlspace.
NO! Seriously, why can't she drive?
She was only fifteen when she died of typhus in a concentration camp.
I felt bad writing that. - vtbarrera, on 02/05/2009, -6/+18Epic fail
- o1001o1001o, on 02/05/2009, -8/+20LOL ASIAN WOMAN
(^_^) - NikoKun, on 02/05/2009, -0/+12I'd have to say that if ANYONE fails their driving tests more than 50 times, it must be pretty safe to say they shouldn't ever be driving... >_>
- stk198323, on 02/05/2009, -14/+25''The 68-year-old, identified only by her last name Cha, has taken the test almost every working day since 2005 in the southwestern city of Jeonju.''
What kind of screwed up place let's you take a driving test EVERY day! Yeah it makes 771 consecutive business days you fail but now you made that 60% score you needed, here's your drivers license!
How the ***** is she supposed to know how to drive? She probably just remembers all the answer she tried before and that was wrong! Here you get a chance one week later, if you fail you have to wait 2 weeks, if you fail 3 weeks, etc. At least this wayyou need to study and say after the 10th time you fail you will need morethen 2.5 months to pass before takign a new exam so chances are you will have forgoten the answers by that time!
''Police estimate she has spent almost five million won to take the written test, with each test costing 6,000 won (£2,980) in addition to other expenses. ''
2980 ***** euros to take a driving test? That's ***** insane, somethings really ***** up about there drivers license system. Now a poor person just can't drive because he won't have that kind of money! Hell I could understand maybe 300-400 euro for the test altough it would also be pushing it but that amount is just ridiculous! -
