I don't play WoW either... - metapop, on 11/25/2008, -7/+39*casts lvl 6 chicken tikka masala*

regained 14 HP!!
MP level increased!! - CindyDiggs, on 11/24/2008, -1/+31Maybe this is a good thing. Superstition can be as cripeling as evil. I hope it doesn't add to the problems however.
- WhiteMike87, on 11/25/2008, -1/+25Simple: what do you do with witches? You burn them. What else burns? Wood. So what other qualities of wood will be seen in a witch? They both float. What else floats in water? A duck. Therefore the witch will weigh the same as a duck. Look for warts and strange hats as indicators as well.
It's all elementary, really. - zaffir, on 11/25/2008, -0/+21Wow, a lot of comments show that most people didn't even read the SUMMARY.
"Witchcraft" is being taught to inform people that witch-hunts and other such barbaric practices are NOT OK. Witches are NOT cursing the village, so don't go stone a family of four to death. This isn't the same as creationism being taught in American schools. If anything, it's the exact opposite: were creationism to be taught like this, the class would be all about why creationism is NOT science and NOT valid. - professorchaos1, on 11/25/2008, -2/+20Intelligent design should be taught in school too... to expose the fraud that it is.
- DigSomeMore, on 11/24/2008, -0/+17It wouldn't surprise me if they added Warcraft to their curriculum though...
- Vegiemaster, on 11/25/2008, -10/+26An article that both atheists AND Christians can bitch about!
- Grin23, on 11/25/2008, -0/+15somehow i don't think they mean wiccans. witchcraft is different in different parts of the world. the reasons they kill witches is obviously tied to the belief that the curse is linked to the casting witch being alive. so if you kill the witch the curse is lifted.
Personally in my region of the world the common belief is that the best way to fight witchcraft is with more witchcraft, so we tend to keep the witch hunts to a minimal. - Setherex, on 11/25/2008, -1/+15RTFA YOU ***** IDIOTS
- inactive, on 11/25/2008, -0/+13Did you read the article? ,it's to curb and mitigate superstition.
- sulthernao, on 11/25/2008, -0/+13"Primary school children in India will learn about witchcraft in the classroom as part of an effort to dispel superstitions and stop deadly witch-hunts."
Reading helps. - RuSTeDs, on 11/25/2008, -0/+13There's a specific type of witch called Chudayl in India whose existence is pretty common amongst the people. Its supposed to be butt fugly, scary and kills lonely truckers on highways passing through small villages. They say she promises sex posing as a beautiful woman, but kills the guy as soon as he comes near. According to the folklore, she usually resides in pipal trees and its a common superstition in India to not walk under pipal and banyan trees after sunlight. They say its feet are backwards and the only way to kill it is to pull its hair out, because she really loves her hair and its real pretty. There have been countless "eye witnesses" in Indian villages who swear that they saw chudayls, some even describing their ordeal and escape from their clutches. There have been many bollywood movies about chudayls until recently. So yeah, this witch business is pretty relevant to Indians, especially kids whose parents might have told them the horror stories of unfortunate truck drivers.
- Zervaman, on 11/25/2008, -2/+13Dispelling witchcraft, eh?
Makes sense. - cle2105, on 11/25/2008, -1/+11HA! Have you not seen the Wizard of Oz? The wicked witch of the west was a total bitch.

- immatellyouwhat, on 11/25/2008, -0/+9Hi Sagags, I'm Bury...
- DrewPeacock, on 11/25/2008, -1/+10The Wicked Witch of the West was a bitch?
GLINDA ripped Dorothy's house out of the ground with a tornado, because she was too much of a pussy to take on the Wicked Witches herself, then sends Dorothy on a journey that nearly kills her to consult with a "wizard" she knows is a fake and possesses no usefull knowledge that Glinda does not already have. After Dorothy nearly dies and discovers that her journey was ***** worthless, Glinda reveals that she could have instantaneously teleported Dorothy to Oz and then says -- this is a direct quote -- "jk all u had to do to get home was tap teh slippers together LULZ" - BertEatsDirt, on 11/25/2008, -0/+9These comments suck
- Toupee, on 11/25/2008, -0/+9Witchcraft, or at least most modern practitioners, don't believe in the devil or a hell at all - certainly not in the same sense as Christians, and definitely not as a scapegoat.
- Grin23, on 11/25/2008, -0/+9no read = dugg down
- ZZOTH, on 11/25/2008, -8/+16witchcraft may make you roll your eyes, but Christianity is equally retarded. they're both made up nonsense. their is no devil people. everyone should know what personal accountability means. far too many use a fake scapegoat/devil to blame things on.
- Starks, on 11/25/2008, -2/+10Look out Bobby Jindal!
- rhumber, on 11/25/2008, -0/+8The idea is to stop witch hunts which are still relatively common in many parts of the world, usually small villages in poorer countries.
- sp89, on 11/25/2008, -0/+8Yeah because at the rate we're going, by 2020 their will be Video Game Olympics and India can at least try to win some golds by training their kids from the start.
- acegi, on 11/25/2008, -0/+8why is this getting dugg up?

There's times when I find myself unable to decide whether a post is better, or worse, if it's an intentional troll. - UberNick, on 11/25/2008, -0/+6He didn't even read the description under the title. Lame.
- austang, on 11/25/2008, -0/+6chicken tikka masala is the most popular and tastiest dish for those who are not used to indian food.

- inactive, on 11/25/2008, -0/+6Jesus ***** Christ, do you morons seriously refuse to even read articles and instead go directly to the comments to quickly post a "clever" comment to be dugg up?
- Myztry, on 11/25/2008, -0/+6You sound like you have a good kind of faith that I can respect, though I doubt it makes you a 'good' Christian. There really needs to be a term for those that believe in God but not Churches.
If there truly is any evil in the world, it is manifested in Churches with their hijacking and subverting of people's faith.
The real problem India is facing is the undoing of centuries of Church 'missionaries' who were sent out to 'convert' the population for the Churches own ends.
No God would be so impotent as to require institutions such as the Church to act as the leader of peoples faith. Confidence tricksters at best. - Grin23, on 11/25/2008, -0/+6indeed! that truck driver was tasty!
