- agarc, on 05/17/2008, -20/+225I find it entertaining that people get all huffy puffy over someone who copies story links from one bookmarking site to the other... Who cares if the story was on Reddit first? Is this a competition? Isn't the point of the internet to share information? What's the big deal?!?
Thank you, MrBabyMan, for sharing these stories. I never look at Reddit, so I appreciate the information sharing.
This Digg vs. Reddit stuff is ridiculous. Get upset about something meaningful...go donate money or something. - inactive, on 05/17/2008, -1/+160Wrong. It's where they make the fillings for the giant crayons
http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=-5%C2%B0+5'+28.8 ... - musicpyrite, on 05/17/2008, -4/+131Why do I see more and more people putting apostrophes in every word that ends in "s" even though the word isn't possessive?
- vandy, on 05/17/2008, -26/+148it's a reddit article from yesterday
- Chairboy, on 05/17/2008, -16/+137If we need to send a spy in to check it out, you know it'll have to be a Rouge Agent.
- Tarnum, on 05/17/2008, -5/+123Salt evaporation ponds. The greend and red colours are caused by the algae, typical for salt ponds.

- poeck, on 05/17/2008, -3/+65Nuclear reactors. We should bomb those.
- ographer, on 05/17/2008, -10/+68It looks like a really sucky color palette
- Arcticfx, on 05/17/2008, -14/+70Just a shot in the dark, but I'd guess algae farm? Looks neat though.
- sardiax, on 05/17/2008, -0/+52so how did they find it? i mean at some point somebody must've browsed google maps in that area to find this and then shared it.
- inactive, on 05/17/2008, -4/+47My mother in law is from peru and I swear she needs more make up than that.
- riskybeats, on 05/17/2008, -9/+45You can clearly see the diving boards, it is uncle scrooge's big pools of different coloured currency. Come on!

- Xcel, on 05/17/2008, -0/+30Exactly, I don't go to Reddit so this is new to me and I appreciate the bridging of information between the two.
- inactive, on 05/17/2008, -6/+36More like make-up fields or farms than mines if you ask me. Well I guess you did.

"From the Sky it Looks like a Makeup kit!" ... no, lame.
"Obama Rewls! ... maybe.
"God's Blush Kit. If God were a Transvestite!" ... close.
"Giant Makeup Mines of Peru! ... perfect! Wait...
oh f*ck it. - AdmiralZombie, on 05/17/2008, -42/+63Yeah as I've said several times, I don't really care when people grab stuff from reddit, but can you at least come up with an original name, and not blatantly steal the headline from reddit?
http://reddit.com/info/6jn0k/comments/
Really, stop ripping of the names, and come up with an original title of your own. - inactive, on 05/17/2008, -4/+24And how many people world wide never graduate?
- MikeyMoose, on 01/30/2009, -7/+27Tailings ponds is my guess.
- v1c1ous, on 05/17/2008, -5/+24well that's a colorful way to get noticed. haha get it? i uh....*sigh* nevermind.
- dood, on 05/17/2008, -2/+21Why didn't you use it? Hell, why didn't I use it?! What is wrong with us?
- franklymister, on 05/17/2008, -3/+22The title already makes the "makeup" mines joke. There's no apostrophe needed to pluralize a word. Just saying "emo" isn't witty, it's boring and old.
- brundlefly76, on 05/17/2008, -3/+20I hypothesize that the disposal of grammatical formality is a logical evolutionary process responding to the increasing frequency with which we communicate with text.
- bweltondav, on 05/17/2008, -5/+22So does frontpaging on reddit automatically disqualify something from being submittable to digg? You're just looking for a reason to be angry at babyman.
- Elvaanish, on 05/17/2008, -0/+16You've never been down to the corner of 54th street after 10pm then, amirite?
- flashback99, on 05/17/2008, -0/+16the blackness comes from within the mind of the emo and seeps out through the eyes.
- inactive, on 05/17/2008, -0/+14She has a fat ass.
- GuardianOfNight, on 05/17/2008, -0/+13It's a salt farm. It's about a mile or so from the ocean. They are lined holding ponds where the water is left to evaporate, leaving the salt content. The different colors are the ponds in different stages of evaporation. Sorry to drop science into an otherwise extremely funny image. It does look like a make-up tray. :-)
- bweltondav, on 05/17/2008, -8/+20Please don't "bury as spam" unless something actually /is/ spam. If you don't like the submitter then, well, fine, but don't use up digg's quality-control resources submitting spam reports for stuff that actually isn't spam.
- inactive, on 05/17/2008, -0/+12#3? what the hell is number 3?
- minorthreat, on 05/17/2008, -3/+15sad that you feel like your being rewarded when someone diggs your article..... you must have not gotten much attention as a child
- ike368, on 05/17/2008, -1/+13umm.. pretty sure they can be synonyms.
nice try at the internet, though - com2, on 05/17/2008, -0/+11What about users like me, i never go to redit, why should I when the best of those kind of sites end up on dig for me to see.
- Zalyster, on 05/17/2008, -2/+13You mean American's. ;)
- kdice19, on 05/17/2008, -0/+11.....Unless I've been sadly mistaken my whole life, I'm quite female.
- nubbz51, on 05/17/2008, -1/+12More like nice tree.... I love me some interwebs
- Zera, on 05/17/2008, -1/+11Its very simple how people find this stuff. There are millions of people who use Google Earth, street view, etc. When someone finds something hilarious, they send it to 10 friends, who sends it to 10 friends, one of whom submits it to some social news system.
It's simple statistics. Millions of eyes, with the ability and demand to find and spread the weird stuff. - MattDell, on 05/17/2008, -1/+11hioooo!
