- yomamaisfat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+55Interesting. The new Razr seemed smaller in commercials.
- bossm4n, on 10/10/2007, -1/+55 AT&T... the most "dropped" calls anywhere.
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -1/+40Are we sure this is not just viral advertising?
- andrgo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13In 'there' cars? :o
- SlvrEagle23, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11This is so obviously advertising it's not even funny. There's a huge-ass billboard in front of the conveniently parked car and...well, do I really have to illustrate the things that make this an ad?
Maybe it's just me, but viral advertisement pisses me off. "The Internet power-user demographic is completely averse to standard ads, so let's actually screw with their content just to get ads in their faces!!" Present this as "clever advertisement" and I would gladly look at it, but don't even start with the "omg this really happened" *****. - howdareyou, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11"No wonder Putin doesn’t want anyone – especially teenagers to use cell-phones in there cars... Can you think of a better reason to ban those "devilish" machines in vehicles than this cell-phone related accident caused in Russia?"
There, their, and they're. Is it that hard? - EXreaction, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12In Soviet Russia, phone bricks you!
- jchalmer85, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Yep, in there cars. Not here cars. We drive here cars. They're driving their there cars. Can't you tell the difference?
- Pinkertinkle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6buried because its ADVERTISING
- Archon810, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Umm, in addition to what slvreagle23 just said, there's tape that surrounds the car and the ad. Do you think they would surround it and just leave it there like that? Do you think they cleaned up all the debri from the accident but abandoned the car? Also, from the height of the billboard it would be impossible to create the force needed to absolutely ***** the car like that.
It's just an example of smart advertising. Correct me if I'm wrong but is that the ever-so-popular in Russia S600? - zeptobyte, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Not really.
- kingfoot, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7i like informative and entertaining articles. not half assed embeded images on some obscure blog which contains nothing but a cell phone advert. buried.
- tomis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4As others have said. It's an ad. Bury because I refuse to be a pawn in their "viral marketing" game.
- op12, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5This reminds me of some public "art" I saw in front of the Opera House in Sydney:

It seems like a waste of a perfectly good car (or car body, since I'm sure there's no actual machinery in it) to me. - shortarabguy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3This really is getting annoying. I feel like I'm surrounded by fifth graders, which makes it difficult to come back every day and browse Digg.
- bossm4n, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6Allow me to be the first to say, WTF?
- mace2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3dude, it's a ford...
- lickmygiggle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2WHAT THE *****. Stupid ***** Digg comment system put my comment on the wrong ***** story. This was meant to go on a story about weird laws in different states.
Digg needs to go ahead and rape the person that wrote the code for this stupid ***** comment system now. - lostarchitect, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2it's a ***** ad, you douchebag.
- cyberscape2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2dude, it's a rock...
- fLUx1337, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2teh razr is such big and good, it crushes your car like fat woman - ONLY....in soviet russia for just the low low price of 24000 rubles! It goood!
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Having been around digg for a while, apparently so.
- xtraa, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2In soviet russia, virus advertises you.
- josho, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5no license plates is a giveaway. nice viral, pretty hilarious
- scbysnx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I knew the razr was dangerous!
- xquizit, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1what's with weird ads showing up on the front page now?
- xtraa, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2So what. I don't give a sht, as long as it entertains me.
- Calculon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yay corporate advertising! Bathe in it's glorious light...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1For ***** sake its not an accident. its and Ad for the moto Razr2. ***** blogspam retard.
- breadbin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Oh I noticed. I just didn't think the original joke was particularly funny and felt it needed the assistance of a "straight man" to highlight the comedic value of someone thinking that phones in the 1980's were actually 6 feet tall and could crush a Mercedes. No matter, you just go ahead and let me know what you think I was doing. I'm a big boy, I can take the disappointment of knowing I failed miserably.
- drizzlelicious, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I read "weird accent caused in russia by cellphone and mercedes" and figured that somebody was talking on a cellphone in a car in a mercedes in a russian accent and the car registered one of the words as a command which caused an accident.
I'm way too good at jumping to conclusions. - taxali, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1How many people were watching this last night KNOWING this was gonna be on DIGG the next day?
- rnwen2750, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I giggled.
- silenceHR, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1i just started rant about "there" and "their" on one forum ... this is ***** annoying.
i can understand non-english people doing it, but being on digg a lot lately, there are way too many english speaking people doing it .... WTF is with that? how hard is to write "their"??????? - luket13, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I'll be damned it really is a razor
- breadbin, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Having been around *anywhere* for a while, yes it definitely appears so. "Your" or "You're" is a toughie too.
- duality, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1And you, sir, are a pompous windbag, for taking a perfectly good joke and sucking all the humor out of it.
- duality, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1In case you didn't notice, I'm not the person that made the original joke; I just thought it was funny. I have a feeling that you don't actually read the names on these posts before you bury them or comment on them.
- Whackly, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19
- johnny2k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Yes, shortarabguy, I don't know how I even ended up on this one, and I feel your pain. You just aren't browsing the right places or hanging with the right people, then! Between myself and a few of my Mutual Friends I've been gathering, there actually are people here that know the difference between "there", "their", and "they're", or "you're" and "your", or "here" and "hear"... If you're up for an intelligent discussion on subjects from politics to religion, or if you just see black helicopters following you now and then, click on me and Add Friend. :)
- breadbin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thanks for playing. :)
- PieterOpie, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Everyone who can afford a Merc or a phone already has both...... The rest will never own either.
- GuyHitByTruck, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1You never watched Trigger Happy TV did you?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0How did that car end up like that?
- Netrilix, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4Phone opens you?
- s1mph0ny, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Brantano: yes it is, people don't buy mercedes for the engine, it's for the body. But advertising for a cell phone company? It's a lot cheaper than 1mil/minute on national tv.
- recordingautist, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0he actually *was* referring to 'there cars.' if it happened in the US, they would be called 'here cars'
- troycott, on 10/10/2007, -7/+7In soviet russia....
oh nevermind - Diggworthy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I like how there isnt even any text on the page to explain the pictures.
