- sTiVo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11so...what's the point of the 11th slide?
- lorisa, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Yes, definitely. The bride chooses ugly dresses on purpose so that she won't be upstaged by the bridesmaids. At least, that's why I did it.
- albinoMithos, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8I'm sorry, but what the *****?
- HunterTV, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Welcome to the social!
- zephc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7This Top-10 list goes up to 11!
- emiles, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I've always thought that the point of bridesmaid dresses is to make sure that the bride is the best looking girl in the room.
- pseudologue, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6probably because digg likes lists.
- smurf22, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8Why is this on digg?! It makes my penis hurt!
- bryannnnn, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10buried as too gay for digg.
- ladyarcher85, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5because people dugg it!
- inanytime, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8damn they got ugly faces
- rejoined, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4You should check out the screen names of the first two commenters of the story on the top. The women of Digg are coming out. ;)
- ladyarcher85, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Seriously, I have a shower curtain that looked like the dress in number 1!
- pseudologue, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5I laughed like I've never laughed before. Well, since yesterday when I probably laughed at something that was posted here.
- ferrofluid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Wheres Giuliani !
- redpixie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Outfit number 7 had us rolling. I think it had something to do with this quote:
"But even more impressive? That the best man was apparently Tony Clifton!" - DealCracker, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Damn, and I can never get those two minutes back!
- binaryspiral, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4It's called a slide-vertisement...
- Neiby, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5This kind of ***** wouldn't happen if guys planned the weddings. :-)
And here is the best ever wedding dress:
http://www.azfunnypictures.com/images/wedding-gown.jpg - skyfire1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I'd bang the cotton candy dress girl. It looks smoking hot in my book.
- crushfan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Digg is on the way listing all TOP/EVER/MOST lists on the Internet. Cool... I guess...
- GilbertZ, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Wow. I never thought in a million years this would make front page. You can never tell. I thought this story was cute, but not as good as the video of the professor slowing down light then speeding it up and just crazy physics maneuvers...that got only 3 diggs last time I checked...Digg is unprediggtable...
- Taquoshi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Whoa there, xmlionheart! What gives you the right to declare universal judgment on the characters of bridal attendants? This article was on fashion faux pas, not degrading people's character. On behalf of my four very good girl friends who were my attendants at my wedding, and those with whom I have also been a fellow brides maid, I say -"You, sir, clearly are no gentleman!"
- Taquoshi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Oh, but I am so glad that it did!!!!! LOL!!!! And I am also very relieved that the gowns I chose failed to make the cut!!!
- nogChoco, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2and possibly because digg likes bridesmaids.
- DaffyDuck, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1ladyarcher, I suppose that'll do but its better with a heavy dose of dry sarcasm.
- DaffyDuck, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I was going to pull out my standard explanation but I'll pass. Anyone want to pitch in here?

10. The Repeat Offender
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/blue_dress.jpg
Does this gown look familiar? "A lot of women over 40 told me they had one just like it for weddings they were in," writes Buffalo, Minn., bridesmaid Joanne. We've definitely seen similar versions of the same dress. They're all shiny, poufy – and much-despised by the wearer. "I almost dropped out [of the wedding], that's how much I hated this dress," says Joanne. "I came to my senses and, of course, stuck with it for my best friend!"
9. The Tablecloth
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/tablecloth.jpg
Christine now admits that her flower-power wedding was more hippie chick than hippie chic: "I can't believe, when I look at this picture now, what I was thinking!" the Moorpark, Calif., bride tells us of her 1976 nuptials. "I wanted a simple old-fashioned wedding, and I thought the fabric looked old-fashioned. My bridesmaids hated the material and tried to talk me out of it – but my mind was set."
8. The Rainbow Connection
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/hats.jpg
"The actual dresses aren't really the problem here," admits Amber of her cousin's 1973 wedding. "Instead of picking one color for her bridesmaids, [the bride] decided to have a 'rainbow' wedding." Although the wedding party looked like a package of Skittles, the Madison, Tenn., native admits that an even bigger problem were the hats worn by the bridesmaids. "It was an indoor wedding, but the bride wanted head gear."
7. The Pajama Game
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/polkadots.jpg
Ah, the '70s. When disco reigned, love was free and brides dressed their wedding party in pajamas. "I found this picture of my mother's wedding," writes Theresa from Rochester, N.Y., of the little blue flowers and tiny bows that overwhelmed her mother's friends at her 1975 wedding. But even more impressive? That the best man was apparently Tony Clifton
6. The Foil Folly
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/gold_dresses.jpg
"This was a BIG wedding." recalls bridesmaid Janell – and she's not even talking about the gigantic gold gowns worn by the bridesmaids! "Eight attendants each, and all the girls in gold!" Says the White Bear Lake, Minn., native of the frilly foil frock "These were really shiny, extremely itchy and hot."
5. The Scarlett O'Hara
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/fiddledeedee.jpg
As God as her witness, she'll never wear this dress again! We do declare our deepest sympathies for Providence, R.I., bridesmaid Jennifer, who was forced into crimson fabric with bows from here to the Mason-Dixon line. As Jennifer says, it's "the worst thing that ever happened to me." True, but remember Jennifer, tomorrow is another day!
4. The Cotton Candy Explosion
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/pink.jpg
Bridesmaid Sammi was not tickled by the dress she wore to her sister's wedding. "My sister is obsessive with pink and had a 'pink' wedding," the Elmhurst, N.Y., resident writes. "Pink wedding dress, pink shoes, pink ties, pink center pieces." The pièce de résistance? "This awful pink bridesmaid dress!" But like a good sister, Sammi held her tongue. "Since she loved the dress and we all love her, we happily donned this dress for her big day." Aww!
3. The Little Mermaid
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/mermaid.jpg
Yep, this has doubled as a Halloween costume. As bridesmaid Maggie tells us, she won second place in a costume contest for this dress she was forced to wear in an '80s-themed wedding. "My sister has always been a big fan of the '80s – sequins, big hair, gaudiness," the Toledo, Ohio, native tells PEOPLE.com. "She actually found shoes, purses, jewelry, and nail polish to match this thing."
2. The Real Wedding Shower
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/umbrellas.jpg
"The bride's mother insisted on these horrendous iridescent blue monstrosities," says Jennifer, a bridesmaid out of Meridian, Idaho. "The bows, the lace, and the fabric itched like crazy." But these maids didn't have to just wear the dresses – they also had to perform! "We had to walk down the aisle with [the parasols] open and then when we got to the altar, we had to do a little choreographed move to close them." You know what they say: When it rains, it pours!
1. The Kitchen Curtain
http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007/specials/realweddings/top10/curtains.jpg
"I would love to see the dress that can beat this one," write Ginger of the flowered, curtain-style frock she wore as a junior bridesmaid in her aunt's wedding. Although some came close, this bow-tied frock was the clear winner. "There were actually adult women that had to wear the same dress, and I was mortified at the age of 12! I love my aunt dearly, and it may have been the early nineties, but this kind of dress was never in style." - michaelaranda, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Yeah... They're all... pixely... and stuff.
- binaryspiral, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2zing... you win a digg.
lol - redpixie, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Only me and my multiple personalities. Unfortunately, my army of fellow Chinese slave children were too busy Digging up another iPhone story to come look.
- Taquoshi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Okay, this raises the eternal question, which one came first, the dress or the shower curtain???
- MadSquirrel, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Girl, you are up way too late;-)
- Skooma714, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1OMG tottaly non-fabulous

then stop masturbating. - miggie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I like the Scarlett O'Hara one. I want that for my wedding but with rainbow bride's maids.
- DougPenn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Jim, Edith Keeler must die.
- robszol, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I cried.
- RoboPimp3000, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It's a dress made to look like a People Magazine subscription form. Tacky!
