For details on this, kick a 13/8 beat with your left foot, a 3/4 on whatever your left hand is pointed at, and a 5/6 with your right. Once I could do that, all those "rotate in the opposite directions with different limbs" weren't a problem. You can train yourself for this.

    • DangerMouse9, on 07/10/2008, -7/+51The reason it's difficult to do it at "normal" speed is because the motions are going in opposite directions. This is similar to patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time, rotating your left hand in either clockwise or counter-clockwise direction while your right hand does the opposite.

      That being said, you can do it in normal speed by simply changing how you draw the number 6. If you draw the loop first (from the top) then draw the top you can keep going at normal speed (since your hand and foot will be moving in the same circular direction).

        By the way rotating your hands the opposite direction isn't supposed to challenge you because it's mirrored motions. Try it, you'll find it very easy to do.

        Apparently lots of people start in the upper-right and draw left to make a six. In fact, that's the only way the instructions here work.. I've always written sixes by starting in the middle and going right. You know, so it flows in a left-to-right writing system.
