- feomatteo88, on 02/17/2009, -18/+501I'm sure their sharpest doctors are utilizing some cutting edge technology to help this kid out.
- BillE3, on 02/16/2009, -19/+309Yes, the British have crime under control and the public is safe. When is the kitchen knife ban coming?
- serif69, on 02/17/2009, -5/+219When are you going to get it through your skull that we don't like puns?
- coyote1284, on 02/17/2009, -3/+201What's your point?
- surfacewound, on 02/17/2009, -4/+155...with his stabbing headache.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -1/+123that guy has a knife in his head
- EvilJohn, on 02/17/2009, -2/+100Dugg for a razor sharp wit.
- DrDragun, on 02/17/2009, -6/+103I'm glad they used x-ray; a lesser imaging technology just wouldn't cut it. Then the radiologist would have to take a stab at a diagnosis with insufficient information.
- dewdrinker19, on 02/17/2009, -3/+95This comment just mind freaked my face!
After years of...
"Pics or it didn't happen"
We finally get one like this... - geesamba, on 02/17/2009, -6/+94Seriously. We need to get a handle on these things before it slices us all apart.
- eugenesucks, on 02/17/2009, -1/+77People who would try to remove the knife are called doctors. These 'doctors' prefer to have a thing called information when they are trying to not let a person die (go to sleep and never wake up).
- Relikh, on 02/17/2009, -1/+72Doctor: Well, I think I found the problem
Kid: Is it bad?
Doctor: I don't know how to tell you this, but I think you have a knife stuck in your head
*points to x-ray
Kid: Oh my... - RiouG, on 02/17/2009, -4/+72WHAT DON'T YOU ***** UNDERSTAND !?
- musntSurfatWork, on 02/17/2009, -2/+63Thanks for the Avatar!
- MazdaEric, on 02/17/2009, -0/+59This kid will make it their new Facebook profile pic.
- oblivian92, on 02/17/2009, -13/+70Buried for the article being three sentences long.
- slapded, on 02/17/2009, -0/+54Knife, head, kid lives
- scy1192, on 02/17/2009, -0/+53Thanks for being so blunt
- eKalb33, on 02/17/2009, -1/+54"Killing each other using knives and forks, and callin' each other names, like 'dork'."
- hawk3210, on 02/17/2009, -0/+52That guy's screwed, any way you slice it.
- CleoQKazoo, on 02/17/2009, -8/+50dugg for effort
- jamesdew, on 02/17/2009, -1/+39There are already strict knife laws in the UK and shops cannot even sell kitchen knifes to under 18s.
- reva, on 02/17/2009, -0/+37Dugg for the article catering to my attention span.
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -1/+35i hate glitchers.
- saifatlast, on 02/17/2009, -0/+32I like your style.
- Kyrgizion, on 02/17/2009, -0/+29"Yup guys. That's a kitchen knife allright!"
"Yeah, but what brand?"
All jokes aside, though, wouldn't you prefer your doctors to know whether removing the knife would cause hemorrhaging or brain damage before they actually attempted to do so? - dashdingo, on 02/17/2009, -3/+32I see what everyone did here.
- bpwned, on 02/17/2009, -2/+30Cheating Death was brought to you by Prescott Pharmaceuticals. Remember, if it's childproof, it's not Prescott!
- lyonsban, on 02/17/2009, -8/+35Not to start a argument, but I used to carry a gun, so I probably know a bit more about it than you.
1) You have to be generally law abiding to get a permit to carry. If you screw up, you lose the permit.
2) When I carry I'm on my best behavior. No drinking, no arguing, nothing that might start a fight. If I do get in any sort of fight I am going to prison for a long time, enough that I might as well give up and become gay.
3) I can't imagine someone going their whole life without a criminal record suddenly deciding they are going to shoot someone because they got a permit. Based on my own experience, this makes no sense whatsoever.
4) If you want to shoot someone it's fairly easy to get one illegally. Why bother paying taxes, when you can get a untraceable gun from any local drug lord.
5) Knives are MUCH quieter than guns. It doesn't make a lick of difference if I'm shot or stabbed as far as my chance of immediate survival is concerned, but the neighbors are more likely to call an ambulance if they hear a shot. - RemarkableRyan, on 02/17/2009, -3/+29Could you just cut through the BS, and present you comment in the fore front?
- aspec, on 02/17/2009, -1/+26"Would somebody please, remove these cutleries from my knees?"
- inactive, on 02/17/2009, -1/+25Teenage boys always cheat at something
- JammoBlammo, on 02/17/2009, -1/+24Lack of guns.
- lyonsban, on 02/17/2009, -1/+23Strict knife laws... as well as new legislation potentially banning all knives with a point. Yes, all knives that have a point on the end will be illegal. So instead of being stabbed, soon you can look forward to being bludgeoned to death at the next football match. Welcome to the UK, home of the idea you can legislate a healthy culture. Don't you dare blame these problems on children and adults getting very good wages to stay out of the workforce, do drugs and pump out child after child to wander the streets unsupervised.
- jgtg32a, on 02/17/2009, -0/+22Facebook Status:
Splitting headache - HenvY, on 02/17/2009, -1/+22I actually knew the attacker - I went to school with him, and back then he was a relatively normal kid. It's a shame his sentence was so light.
- coyote1284, on 02/17/2009, -0/+20@Revolution
If you study hard and don't cheat, a kitchen knife in the head should do it. - AlexWiggy, on 02/17/2009, -0/+19Stabbings are more prominent in Britain for a few reasons, namely the ones stated above, but also guns are illegal here, so we have a LOT less shootings, but those shootings are replaced by knifes encounters.
- cguwilliams, on 02/17/2009, -1/+19At least they didn't use an MRI.
- Vindexus, on 02/17/2009, -0/+18Were you even trying?
- audreysee, on 02/17/2009, -1/+18That boy had been through a lot of pain. And now he's accused of cheating death! That's insensitive.
- DontThinkSo, on 02/17/2009, -1/+18Subtle.
- HenvY, on 02/17/2009, -9/+25I'm sure there are less stabbings in Britain than America. The difference is, it's a nationwide news event when someone is stabbed to death here. :)
- prrudman, on 02/17/2009, -3/+18It isn't just one incident though. This is just the latest in a very long list of stabbings by teenagers.
- gelato822, on 02/17/2009, -3/+18i just googled that Lakshmi girl for about a half hour
- Nath2k8, on 02/17/2009, -0/+15I guess demoman was spy afterall
- Pheter, on 02/17/2009, -0/+15Bandwith exceeded!
- BlackX4Life, on 02/17/2009, -2/+16@lysonban: not everyone who owns a gun thinks like you.
- Relikh, on 02/17/2009, -2/+16Whoooosh.
- InsaneMachine, on 02/17/2009, -1/+15But the picture was worth 1000 words.
