TV news team tames Bermuda Triangle of parking lots
networkworld.com — It was just like the Bermuda Triangle only instead of ships and planes lost at sea we're talking about cars and trucks unable to start in a department store parking lot. And, unlike the tall tales associated with the waters off Florida, this Sunshine State mystery has apparently been solved by … of all would-be sleuths, a television news team.

- paperclipsNsoup, on 05/01/2008, -0/+6Is there a kit I can set up at say, the local Wal-Mart?
- louiebaur, on 05/01/2008, -0/+4Sounds like the cell phone jamming signals they used to use in the casinos in Vegas
- IconoclastStill, on 05/02/2008, -0/+4With all the devices competing for bandwidth, it takes very little to cause problems, whether unintentional, as here, or something less innocent.
- claudia7950, on 05/02/2008, -0/+4some sort of thing like that was reported here (Italy) last week on a satyrical tv program. They said it was much likely cell antennas and electric circuits under the soil that stopped cars from starting, but they were still investigating; in Italy this usually means it will all end in a soap bubble within 2 days' time.
- 1cat, on 05/02/2008, -1/+1what a scary story. my girlfriend would be frightened to park there ;-)
- nahsrocketeer75, on 05/02/2008, -0/+3What I found astounding here was that they got *hundreds* of complaints about something that *had* to be hurting business, yet did nothing about trying to find the cause until the TV guys did it for them. What a bunch of morons.
- casspa, on 05/02/2008, -0/+3Florida never gets good press, from hanging chads to the dead madam to trying to out law balls hanging off the trailer hitches on trucks! I mean come on, they're just balls hanging off trucks. Now we have to deal with the PR of another Bermuda Triangle!
- isaacand, on 05/02/2008, -0/+3what an odd story
- theregoesdave, on 05/02/2008, -0/+2it's the bermuda parking lot!

- CDep, on 05/04/2008, -0/+1It's a Kohl's conspiracy to keep people that haven't bought enough from leaving the store.
