- bagelpirate, on 01/26/2008, -18/+1506If they missed, they could just fly around again.
The scariest airport ever would have a gigantic wall at the end, covered in spikes and nazis. - Venste, on 01/26/2008, -12/+1225Does this remind anyone else of that Goldeneye level?
- Malchus89, on 01/26/2008, -18/+385Just like Goldeneye, therefore I digg...
- inactive, on 01/26/2008, -9/+295and goatse images.
- ghm101, on 01/26/2008, -4/+272wasn't it a scene in the movie before it was a game?

- chrisfrye11, on 01/26/2008, -4/+102Oh man, is it out on blu-ray yet?
- smacksaw, on 01/26/2008, -1/+84Coming next on ESPN 8 "The Ocho" - extreme takeoff and landing freestyle runs!
- Aroundtheworls, on 01/26/2008, -0/+80The airport is Courchevel in the French Alps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNFNFZq2BFY
- gr3yg00s3, on 01/26/2008, -0/+65WHOOSH!
The sound of it flying over ssravp's head. - yohnstoppable, on 01/26/2008, -0/+60No Oddjob
- saralk, on 01/26/2008, -5/+57Quickest proof of Godwin's law yet?
- littlebylittle, on 01/26/2008, -6/+53It's a secret Scientology Base.
- Unreal595, on 01/26/2008, -4/+47Wasn't this in one of the James Bond movies?
- bigdoof, on 01/26/2008, -0/+38Fortunately, it was the first scene.
- blqysmg, on 01/26/2008, -0/+36one lands uphill. the problem would be landing short, into the cliff wall.
- kendawg, on 01/26/2008, -0/+36What flew over his head? A helicopter?
- eyesmell, on 01/26/2008, -2/+35DK Mode + Paintball Mode + Fast Motion
- 007billabong, on 01/26/2008, -1/+33This airport was used in Tomorrow Never Dies. " The opening teaser sees Bond single-handedly blitzing a terrorist arms bazaar ëon the Russian borderí. The remote location is one of the worldís few high-altitude airfields, Peyresourde, in the central French Pyrenees."
- MaxPayne3476, on 01/26/2008, -3/+35buried as inaccurate, the scariest airport resides in Newark, NJ
- Gimpishi, on 01/26/2008, -1/+30In essence your list ate this story as well as 19 others and ***** them out in one big happy brick. Dope.
- chrisj33, on 01/26/2008, -0/+27That would be the in flight movie. On loop.
- inactive, on 01/26/2008, -0/+25i have landed on two of those 20, and have NO DESIRE to add to my number. This is one of those lists you don't want to chase down...
Top hotels? Maybe. ***** your pants runways? Nope! - ssravp, on 01/26/2008, -9/+33Damn it. I wish I could bury my own comment I can't believe I missed that reference.
- Chairboy, on 01/26/2008, -1/+25Actually, go-arounds at this airport are explicitly not allowed. There's a mountain behind it, nowhere to go unless you have a military plane or something with crazy power.
- mrjofo, on 01/26/2008, -0/+23no, they've only been making them for 40 years for fun.
- twiztidsinz, on 01/26/2008, -3/+26This reminds me of the Air Base outside of Iron Forge.
- elnerdo, on 01/26/2008, -1/+24Falling off a cliff is actually a very efficient way to gain enough speed to fly again.
- bitspace, on 01/26/2008, -2/+24It seems so, since it was making fun of an invocation of "nazis" in the original comment. OK, so it wasn't use of Hitler or Nazis as a weak rhetorical defense, but the joke was sensible and funny.
- inactive, on 01/27/2008, -0/+19can't we all just goatse along
- Grumps, on 01/26/2008, -0/+18Submit it to digg, i'd digg it!
- Incomp3tnt, on 01/26/2008, -1/+19I use zombies. Like when I'm about to take a leak, I think "What would I do if when I open the door after this brief period of wonderful relief, there's been a zombie apocalypse?" I then end up planning possible escape routes and the heroic rescue of a group of very attractive women.
And people wonder why I love going to the restroom so much. - Existenz87, on 01/26/2008, -0/+18And if you miss your plane you can just use your motorcycle to jump off the end of the runway and free fall to catch up with the plane.
- Enlefo, on 01/26/2008, -0/+17Yes, that is a scary airport considering you have to kill all those russians and steal a tank before you can take off.
- XxbladesfirexX, on 01/26/2008, -3/+19LoL, It's perfectly safe, works using the updrafts of the mountain. (I'm a pilot).
- rollem, on 01/26/2008, -6/+21But if they have just a little bit too much speed when landing, they'll go off the runway without having enough speed to take off again.
- Supernova36, on 01/26/2008, -0/+15or Runway...
- chill888, on 01/26/2008, -0/+14one funny thing about the airport is that many of the signs are in Russian as the new oil-rich go skiing there. Last year a Russian high class prostitute ring was busted at Courchevel. I cycled up to it last year - excuse my ugly head but see the Russian writing above.
http://www.cycling-challenge.com/wp-content/upload ... - marrstu, on 01/26/2008, -3/+17Is it not a bit too early to bring up Nazis?
- ozid, on 01/26/2008, -0/+13I'd make them SDTV's just so you can't compliment my airport on the good picture quality.
- chedabob, on 01/26/2008, -1/+14Digg: Where having an opinion that goes against the grain is bury-worthy.
- blqysmg, on 01/26/2008, -1/+14As a glider pilot, this is NOT a scary airport. Takeoffs are simple, just get airspeed eventually. The only problem would be excessive rotor. Landings could be scary, but shouldn't be much of an issue - just don't come up short. Long landings are not really possible.
- scotticus, on 01/27/2008, -1/+14All of you idiots are arguing about what to call a man's gaping *****.
Seriously.... WTF. - derlin, on 01/26/2008, -5/+17i bet its worth flying into just for the skiing/snowboarding
- jmreid, on 01/26/2008, -1/+13It actually looks like the scene from the beginning of Tomorrow Never Dies. James takes off going up that hill.
