- doctorfungi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+37I'm pretty sure no one ever said that scooters can't have doors...
- tehWyman, on 08/19/2009, -1/+31Was this supposed to be funny?
- aahpandasrun, on 10/10/2007, -3/+32the only rational explanation for this that I can think of is that one of their car doors broke or came off, so they had to take their motorcycle to go pick up a new car door, and that was the only way they could think of to take it home
- directedition, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18Smart man. If he gets too hot, he can just roll the window down.
- wildfire, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16EMT: "Darwin Award photo for the severed dumbass?"
Coroner: "Sure" - wildfire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Geo Metro?
- SteaminTmann, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10My guess, is that he was driving his scooter along... and some guy was getting out of his car, right in front of him.. so instead of trying to stop or avoid it, he just ran into it and ripped that ***** right off, and to teach the guy in the car a lesson, he just kept goin, door and all....
- TheStrangeBrew, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7How is this safe? Looks like the quickest way to become paraplegic to me...
- cheech794, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5i was expecting something better.
- joemofo214, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I'm not too sure
- timusca, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Get a sense of humor, for the love of God.
- Chakat, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Jeeps are built a lot differently from cars though; jeeps are oldschool ladder frame construction; the body isn't really designed to maintain much of the overall structural integrity. In a normal car, the body itself is a crucial part of the overall structure; removing a door does a lot to the overall structrual integrity and safety. It's why convertibles are usually much more heavy; they have to brace the doors and underbody to get the same rigidity of a roof.
- pr3d4t0r, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2False: see http://www.thewindingsheet.com/?p=356
- Thuktun, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2"...you might be a redneck."
- mz00m, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4No... just means you're from the United States...
- TTSkipper, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Guess you never had a Jeep
- carbonfree314, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Digger stole my bike!
- Pilot85, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3...losing a door doesnt make a car stop working. Why wouldn't he just drive the car to pick up the door?
- aflaks, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4if you have a better idea of driving a door around, i'd like to hear it
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+6that bitch stole my door!
- bigteebo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2BMW released a scooter(er, more like motorcycle) that has a mostly-enclosed canopy. A lot better than the pic from TFA. :)
- brokenworlds, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I say they cant have "doors" because theres clearly only 1 door in that picture
- in2deep, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That is interesting lil thing
- carbonfree314, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It does make it a hell of a lot less safe.
- EarlOfLade, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1That picture has to have been taken in Spain or Italy...
I once passed a Citroen 2CV in Spain with a bureau sticking out if the roof and on top of it, he tried to race me and I was driving a Mercedes... Never laughed so hard in my life! - Leion, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It helps to protect the legs and at the same time, breaking the spine
- fpcyber, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4This man is going to have some bad back problems. Doors aren't light!
- swordedge, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1How A Door able!!!!
- Akaji, on 10/10/2007, -5/+5Weird. The only rational explanation I could come up with was that he wanted to hit people with his car door... that gives you extra points, you know.
- CJKirk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Safe for who?
- helixhdr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0lol
- ner0tic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0this guy in the pic is a dumbass
- MikeonTV, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4Do you think he drove that thing through a car parked in the middle of an intersection?
- ms292606, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0It'll make .5 past lightspeed
- rectodigger, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0No one ever graduates from Bible study until he meets its Author face to face.
- exernet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Maybe he wanted a seat belt, or should I say "safety" belt?
- liuite, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0that's a suicide door if I've ever seen one
- oldhick, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Thank God!
- lidong, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Stupid =.=
- ishutzi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I started to think of the situation that led to this picture:
The guy's car door was damaged, so he had to get a new one. But driving to the scrapyard with a door on your car missing would be unsafe, so... - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0For "whom"
Sorry - i had nothing better to contribute. - mrhaines, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1Not safe for the environment...scooters put out more emissions than large SUV's
- oldhick, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Cheers to that! How can you have self respect and ride a scooter? Grow up and get a bike.
- Baelorn, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1"your" comment is invalid. If you're going to insult someone's intelligence do it right.
- dreesemonkey, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Request to add all references to "Darwin" or "Darwin award" to the list of grossly over-used internet terms in an attempt at being humorous. Punishable by death. Seriously, my dad probably makes these jokes.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2Real men pedal, door or no door..
- Anub1s, on 10/10/2007, -4/+2I think he's as cool as he can get, seeing as how he is sticking OUT of the window.
One of the more stupid things I've seen. - shershbe, on 10/10/2007, -7/+4Whenever I see a grown man on a scooter I immediately think "DUI". Does that make me a bad person?
- rhylan, on 10/10/2007, -7/+3Darwinism in action...
