- nbx909, on 01/25/2008, -0/+101jesus how did they get tax exempt status after that? We need to call our senators.
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -8/+58This is one of the main reasons why Germany banned scientology. They are doing the same in every government.
And that's why only atheists should be allowed to participate in politics. - SirMolle, on 01/25/2008, -1/+50Thank You for showing the fine Details the (cough cough) Church tries to pretend never happened.
- AeonTorpor, on 01/25/2008, -3/+46Don't rag on the gays like that, they have nothing to do with scientology.
- Whiteknight117, on 01/25/2008, -3/+44Scientology; now more hated than Fox news.
- Albumen, on 01/25/2008, -2/+35Dugg because there just isn't enough general familiarity about the ***** this group has doing since the day L. Ron farted out the idea for $cientology.
- dondara, on 01/25/2008, -0/+31It's like the mafia trying to infiltrate the gov. These criminals need to be rooted out and arrested. They should have their tax exempt status revoked and all assets seized. Only complete destruction of their pyramid scheme will be acceptable.
Anon fights for us all. Hail Xenu! - xdvx, on 01/25/2008, -1/+30The end of Tom Cruise
- frimpo, on 01/25/2008, -2/+24I still cannot believe that CoS had the largest infiltration of the US gov't. That is so messed up. BTW, read up on Operation Freakout; that ***** is just creepy.
- anmaro5, on 01/25/2008, -2/+21GREAT POST
- hexydes, on 01/25/2008, -3/+22Wow, really? Here, I'll help you: scientology
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -21/+38Scientology is gay.
- buddamus, on 01/25/2008, -3/+19***** SCIENTOLOGY - WE HAVE THE POWER TO TAKE THEM DOWN
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -3/+17scary man..
so branch davidians who were doing nothing other than peacefully, quietly practicing a 'weird' religion were horribly and brutally murdered, shot in the backs, gased and burned alive, men women and children..
but the Scientology have a history of violence, coercion, spying, infiltrations, harassment, stalking, and just plain wrathful evil on a global scale... and they are left alone?
whats going on here? - inactive, on 01/25/2008, -0/+14... folks, if you really want to make a difference here, forget this anon garbage - its not going to do anything. Call or write your reps and demand an investigation into scientology and it's tax-free status. Shove these links in their faces and made them READ them. Snow White and Freakout ought to be enought to get ANY representative to look into this.
- burningmanstan, on 01/25/2008, -0/+14RTFA they are not just another crazy cult. Many founders of scientology have been convicted of infiltrating and wiretapping many government and international organizations. Their policies still exist today.

Seriously, this is crazy. - Sraza, on 01/25/2008, -0/+10Hopefully enough to piss you off.
It's exactly why everyone has been posting them. Just to piss you off. - inactive, on 01/25/2008, -2/+12Whomever wrote that David Koresh was molesting children is an idiot. There was never any proof, evidence nor any official charges ever filed against this man for abusing children. This horrible rumor of pedophilia was brought up as hearsay by a "former" branch davidian on the 4th day of the standoff- then it was leaked badly into the mainstream media. Interesting thing was, the former branch davidian was not and had not been an active member of the church for over a year and was asked to leave by Koresh after a majority vote within the organization to basically ex-communicate the trouble makers.
What is interesting about WACO is the public response to Koresh's alleged desire for sex with children. First, the county Sheriff who knew Koresh and his church knew for a fact this was unsubstantiated garbage from a disgruntled and ostracized church member and the officer conducted an investigation (he had to by law) and found no evidence to support the claim and gave the FBI the results of his investigation. Too late the rumor was out and the entire cyber pedophilia fear was in full swing. Its really scary how many people bought into a ***** rumor!
Public opinion of pedophilia is exactly what the FBI and Janet Reno used to justify the slaughter of the organization, its members and headquarters.
Say what you will- but I believe people are innocent until proven guilty, and a death penalty for child molestation without evidence or conviction is just wrong.
I mention this only because Scientology and Branch Davidians are not even remotely close and should never be compared. Scientologists have been convicted of numerous crimes and have spent time in prison and are currently under investigation for several suspicious deaths. Branch davidians never caused a problem and were well known in the community as a benefit and always cooperated with law enforcement.
Scientology does not cooperate unless they are forced to by law.
People who do not actually know what happened in the WACO holocaust should do some research before spreading ill-informed and unsubstantiated rumors.
Notice how we never hear about Janet Reno anymore? Hoping people forget. Out of sight out of mind.
Grow up. - HentaiJeff, on 01/25/2008, -0/+9Anon has no ranks
- kingmanic, on 01/25/2008, -0/+9Terrorist:
-One who utilizes the systematic use of violence and intimidation to achieve political objectives, while disguised as a civilian non-combatant
-a radical who employs terror as a political weapon; usually organizes with other terrorists in small cells; often uses religion as a cover for terrorist activities
-Terrorism is a term used to describe violence or other harmful acts committed (or threatened) against civilians by groups or persons for political or ideological goals (fear in latin).
3 definitions from 3 different places. All 3 apply to Scientology. No in fact Scientology is dedicated to terrorism! - burningmanstan, on 01/25/2008, -0/+9Finally people start posting useful information about scientology. Unfortunately you already turned off many people to this information by rabidly posting useless crap for the last few days. If you stuck to useful information and stopped spamming more people would be reading this article.
- johndi, on 01/25/2008, -0/+8Scientology doesn't have a god and has no problem with atheists becoming members. Your proposal would help them. Which side are you on?
- cmyk, on 01/25/2008, -0/+8Someone needs to make a movie about this *****. Spielberg+Cruise anyone?
- FredFredrickson, on 01/25/2008, -1/+9I really still hate Fox News more. It speaks to a larger audience of imbeciles.
- Phailly, on 01/25/2008, -0/+8No, Digg is pretty much the only news site with the balls not to ban all Scientology debate. All the mainstream groups are ***** off Scientology drama - although I hear Anon has a PR wing that wants to change that
- brstilson, on 01/25/2008, -1/+9The government sees a "kindred spirit" in scientology?
The branch davidians were hardly innocent. Koresh was sexually abusing children as well as stockpiling illegal weapons. - krytz86, on 01/25/2008, -0/+7I found this article earlier on after the stuff about the CIA came on Digg. Its ridiculous, why do our governments allow them to exist? its pretty much organised crime!
- Sneakernets, on 01/25/2008, -0/+7You know, I've heard from some sources that Saddam Hussein himself thought Tom Cruise was a nutcase.
- agentanaranjado, on 01/25/2008, -0/+7this probably has already been stated somewhere in these comments, but.... why the HELL would an organization who has committed malicious acts towards the government be granted tax-exempt status as a religion?!? especially when that religion is as off-the-wall as scientology!
- NoCt1, on 01/25/2008, -0/+7Anyone joined in on this. Try to stop the "church". I am putting in my portion..
- spammishking, on 01/25/2008, -0/+7you don't have to read it, then read all the comments, then post your own. You can simply click the next story down, it's really that easy
- kingmanic, on 01/25/2008, -0/+6Did you read the article? They mean to take as much power as they can get through any means necessary. They are opponents of free speech, free religion, and free thought. If there was an anti-thesis to Democracy and the enlightenment it's Scientology.
- gernblansted, on 01/25/2008, -2/+8Legal action. Endless legal action. But there may be more. The US State Department is a fervent defender of Scientology around the globe (WHY?), and the "Church" seems to have other friends in high places. This is an MO of the church - quietly secretly install people in positions of power, and have them use the that power to further their goals. They also have a history of infiltrating police departments, and accessing protected police records which are then used to undermine critics. They also employee armies of Private Investigators to dig up dirt on or harass any critics or people they see as roadblocks to their goals, and these "Investigators" have a history of illegal conduct (like impersonating police officers).
I would be willing to bet that they have people in the IRS, and that they have 'dirt' on high level IRS employees, or at least have harassed them and threaten to continue that harassment if anything happens to their tax exempt status. - skyfire1, on 01/25/2008, -0/+5Because there are over 9,000 of them.
- notque, on 01/25/2008, -0/+5over/under set at 15
- smacksaw, on 01/25/2008, -1/+6Anon should all dress up like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and walk into the $cientology offices on Feb 10 and steal all of their paper from their copiers.
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -2/+6Not yet anyway.
- StaticThunder, on 01/25/2008, -1/+5Ron Paul would fix Scientology by moving to a gold standard, making their Xenu valued assets worthless!
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -0/+4"As a result of documents stolen from public and private agencies in Canada and information on other covert activities found as evidence collected in the Operation Snow White case[10][11], investigations into the Church of Scientology in Ontario were started. This eventually resulted in a large police raid of the Church of Scientology in Toronto, 3 March to 4 March 1983. The R. v. Church of Scientology of Toronto case began 1991-04-23[12], resulting in seven members being convicted, and two convictions of criminal Breach of the Public Trust against the church itself."
Go Canada! - calon9, on 01/25/2008, -1/+5Whomever handled and handles PR for scientology is an idiot. More people have a negative opinion of Scientology precisely and solely because of all their past and present strong-armed tactics to hide negative opinions of them.
PR 101 says to accentuate your positives instead of vainly trying to cover your negatives. Maybe they don't have any positives. - camaroz06, on 01/25/2008, -1/+5Anon better be sure they dont have any in their ranks
- DSGalvin, on 01/26/2008, -0/+4I think we're at the point where we can just automatically assume that everything done in the name of scientology is creepy.
- menapole, on 01/25/2008, -0/+4this scientology stuffs keeps getting weirder and weirder....
- jasmith33, on 01/25/2008, -2/+6I don't understand how anyone could be sucked into this nonsense. Mainstream religions at least have some history and (usually) a non-profit mission to back them up, but the "Church" of $cientology is just a crackpot self-help method made up by a hack sci-fi writer from the 50's - should we really be tolerant of this idiocy?
- inactive, on 01/25/2008, -1/+5Scientology can cure the gay I'm told, look at how un-gay tom cruise is now!
