- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25Swickis are generally just spam, they allow you to edit a few of the results that come back - but it's basically the same results you'd find from a search engine. I'll give you the direct results, rather then just going through the swicki spam:
Princeton Lectures:
http://www.princeton.edu/WebMedia/lectures/
http://uc.princeton.edu/main/index.php?option=com_frontpage
MIT World Lectures:

Berkley Lectures:
http://webcast.berkeley.edu/index.html
Royal Society Lectures:

There's also this. Welcome to MIT's OpenCourseWare. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Definitely no spam. No ad links - it's just the way swickis look like - and this is definitely a useful swicki!
- clearzen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This link is great. I knew digg could put stories that aren't about ubuntu or apple on the front page. This will keep me busy for a while
- Urusai, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Anyone know where I can download a degree? I want doctorates in Computer, Internets, and Phytophagic Analeptic Zoocryptophylotomy. kthxbai
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Wow, thanks!
Does anyone know links to lectures in foreign languages (french, spanish, german)? - zzleeper, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Berkeley's lectures are GREAT. They have ENTIRE courses there: videos, podcasts, lecture notes, exams with solutions, etc.
OTOH, In the last months I've used a few of the other sites, and besides OCW, most of those were lacking depth. - Daedalus17, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That's just an excuse for not being promoted. Once you have work experience in the field your degree doesn't even usually come up again unless you are lacking in some area of knowledge.
- IvanB, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6If I had pasted the links in a blog everyone would of screamed BLOGSPAM, so I linked at the results page. Anyway, I don't have a blog.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Just found this:
MIT World - Distributed Intelligence (Second link from above)
Steve Wozniak - iWoz: From Computer Geek to Culture Icon: How I Invented the Personal Computer, Co-Founded Apple, and Had Fun Doing It
http://mitworld.mit.edu/video_index.php - Roger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I second that.
They also have excellent professors, much better than I ever had. - TheSaladMan, on 10/12/2007, -9/+12Yay for linking to a search engine! If I start linking to Google will I get frontpage aswell?
- martalli, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's a lot harder if you don't have one of those plugs in the back of your head, though.
- TheOther1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Google is your friend...
Here are some IPOS lectures in French, German, Italian, Hungarian and Spanish.

if you can bring us new, interesting, informative or funny content that we haven't seen before, then yes.
I realise it's a search engine but I've never seen any of this stuff before and it's pretty interesting and useful, so I dugg it. - bobothn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4were trying to get the college i work at do this. but who wants to lear to be a chiropracter online
- Helicobacter, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Too bad the generic courses aren't abundant on those sites.
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Try Streambox VCR or NetTransport.
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ah sorry. I checked the link and it doesn't seem like the lecture videos are available for that course. MIT OpenCourseWare doesn't provide video's for every course listed, unlike Berkeley, for example.
If you do want save video's from a course, I recommend using Streambox VCR. I've ripped entire courses that way. - duality, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Also of note: for some reason, this was submitted under "Offbeat News". Why on earth was the submitter thinking that this didn't belong under "Educational Videos"?
Oh well, it got to the front page. I guess this strategy worked, though I think this article COULD be buried for almost every one of the reasons in the Bury menu. Still, I like it, so I'm not going to do it. - mercurysquad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Whoever suggested using Streamripper and all that kind of round-about crap, browse around a bit first.....
Official info on how to download OCW videos -
http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Global/OCWHelp/help.htm#26 - mirunit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Forgot to comment on this, so, this is one of the greatest things ever - thanks!
- mercurysquad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Same here... up/downloads between my uni and MIT are at 24+ mbps..
- MeDuZa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ Roger, thanks for the reply but i meant to say that i don't find the movie fils for downloading them..
i've tried "Download this Course" at the bottom, and there is 1 .zip file that is useless..
any suggestions ? - noseeme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Heh. I'm downloading an MIT lecture at 4500 kilobytes per second.
Gotta love my school's and MIT's Internet2 connection!
Edit: Aww, it's like this piece of crap from the 80s. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Popplers:

Of course you can watch the nobel lectures on this site, you just don't have to be too lazy or stupid to find them.
I do hate spam and ads as much as you do, but you're acting a bit paranoid concerning this particular site. Fact is, that there are no adlinks on this particular swicki besides the GoogleAds on the right-hand side. - Ankh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Google it!
- MeDuZa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I like these universities, Now even more then ever :)
Question:
How can i download the movies from the "Programming Languages" section ?
http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Electrical-Engineering-and-Computer-Science/6-821Programming-LanguagesFall2002/CourseHome/index.htm
*i've downloaded there software. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1it's very much spam, look at this:
http://swicki.eurekster.com/adv_pplist.php?tgid=18e5b4c9-5481-4103-9af4-0e94bd2f8791
People can pay money to have their own sites/links added to the top of a swicki, this one in particular. Swicki users can opt-in to have this feature and they divide the profit between the swicki site and the user, so basically anyone can have their unrelated site added to the swicki and have it on the top of the site. This is just BS.
Also I only added the best ones on that list, the rest were just very obscure colleges and topics, and the vast majority neared to the middle and bottom of the list were totally unrelated (The Nobel Peace Prize had nothing, it was just a list of Nobel Peace Prize winners, no lecture at all). - Web2point1, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3it is spam for swicki, not other ads
- Roger, on 10/12/2007, -14/+12"internet-tv-search-engine-swicki.eurekster.com"?
I say this is SPAM. - me0wzilla, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0this website looks spam-ish, but it does what the original poster said it would do. List online lectures... It is however, hard to follow
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2@Popplers:
You only posted 4 Links. This site is great because it has a collection of about 40 (!) great links.
If you like to post the rest of them or can give us another link where we can find all of them in one place - please go ahead! - lanitojack, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1hello is there eny ony to be my friend am from canada.
- neuromancerzero, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Are we the only people who noticed that. Seems like people are so hungry to get frontpaged on digg
- r00tus3r, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2These are great. Now, how about some security/ethical hacking lectures (with video). That would be excellent. I'll take all the modding down, if I get one link, it's worth it.
- ptrcd003, on 10/12/2007, -15/+5I say you're an idiot.
- southport, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3Submitter, reading rots the brain. It also makes up for lack of penis size.
