- nichesiteexpert, on 11/10/2008, -2/+23I'm really looking forward to this - the resistance fighting Terminators in the future and Christian Bale as John Connor - you know it's gonna be good.
- MCA2142, on 11/10/2008, -0/+20Terminator universe must have had an easier apocalypse.
Those bike-terminators would never be able to go anywhere if they were in the Fallout 3's apocalyptic landscape. - Jaliyl, on 11/10/2008, -1/+13Holy *****, that harvester kicks ass!
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -0/+10This movie is sponsored by toy makers.
- h3lx, on 11/10/2008, -1/+10That's borderline pornography.
- estacado, on 11/10/2008, -3/+11Alien vs. Predator vs. Terminator = WIN.
- kestrel7e7, on 11/10/2008, -0/+8The only way to make this good is to pretend T3 didn't happen and make T4 as gritty and makeshift as the post-apocalyptic scenes in the original Terminator, with a style similar to Children of Men and Private Ryan. What would make it bad is to be an orgy of too many types of new, shiny, silly CG robots for the kids. Just stick to the basics. Less is more.
- coyote1284, on 11/10/2008, -0/+7"The 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy, but these are new. They look human... sweat, bad breath, everything. Very hard to spot. I had to wait till he moved on you before I could zero on him." -Kyle Reese
This is just my personal unofficial synopsis of the Terminator timeline which I use to explain these oddities.
First, you must keep in mind that John Connor (Prime) IS NOT the John Connor of T2/3/SCC. John Connor (Prime) had a different father and a different life than the John Connor we know.
May 1984 (Prime) Sarah Connor meets a man, who is completely uninvolved in the Termintor continuum, they have a child, John Connor (Prime) is born Feb 1985. Connor (Prime) has a normal life until...
August 4th, 1997 (Prime) Skynet goes online (without the help of future technology)
August 29th, 1997 (Prime) Judgement Day, shortly after, John Connor (Prime), age 12, is found by the resistence and trained, he quickly earns respect of those around him, a natural born leader.
About 30 years later, Connor (Prime) discovers the machine's time machine and that it'd been set to May 12, 1984. Knowing that they'd sent a T-800 back to kill his mother before his birth, sends Kyle Reese back to protect her.
Events of "The Terminator"
Sarah and John Connor (1) travel the world to educate him in combat and strategy, he also learns his computer skills during this time. Meanwhile, in the future, Connor (1) captures and reprograms a T-800, finds out that the machines sent a T-1000 to kill him before Judgement Day, sends T-800 back.
Events of T2
Because of the destruction of Cyberdyne, the next closest competetor develops the technology. New Judgement Day is postponed.
2002, Sarah Connor dies of cancer.
Events of T3
Having failed at eliminating John Connor again in 2004 (after Sarah's death), the machines send a T-888 to 1999 to attempt to kill John in class, but future John had sent a new model back to wait for him where he knew he'd be in the past. Cue "Sarah Connor Chronicles", which bypasses the events of T3, John Connor does not exist in 2004, the T-X primary objective is moot and it's not sent to that time to help initiate JD. New Judgement Day is in 2011. - falser, on 11/10/2008, -0/+7At first I thought they were trying to copy the machines from The Matrix. But then I remember that, in fact, Terminator came up with the whole idea first.
- kalkin, on 11/10/2008, -0/+6you're forgetting one small important detail: mcg
i agree the designs look amazing but when it's all in motion and under the direction of the mcg it's going to be bollocks. don't forget this is the man who brought us the charlies angels films. i for one, will never forget - webresources, on 11/10/2008, -2/+8Mototerminator looks very nice. But have to say Batmoto is sexier..
- elister, on 11/10/2008, -1/+6Well yeah. The early terminators were mostly machines, later, as the models progressed, you saw more and more human looking machines. Dont you remember hearing about the cyborgs in the first movie? Cyborgs being a hybrid of human and machine, a common sci-fi concept that is borrowed by many many video games & movies.
- kestrel7e7, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5"McG cited the film Children of Men and the novel The Road as his influences.[31] McG instructed his cast to read the latter and made Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? required reading on set."

Sounds promising... - MOJIRA, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5Images removed.
Anyone got a mirror? - ultraJesus, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5Just another jumped up fireworks display of a toy advert.
- triferlinks, on 11/10/2008, -1/+6Nemesis Terminator?
- bigteebo, on 11/10/2008, -0/+5I assume the T-600 has "rubber skin" as Kyle Reese explained in Terminator 1? Where's the giant tank & the trilobytes? While not new to the Terminator canon, it would be nice to see 'em again.
- vorakthemad, on 11/10/2008, -1/+5"If this is a sort of prequel, why does it seem to have better technology than Terminator 1."
Because T1 takes place in 1984? You don't get much of a glimpse at any future tech in T1... or T2 for that matter. Salvation is a prequel that takes place after the first two films. - ThatEvilGuy, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4T-600 Looks like Peter Boyle(R.I.P) in young frankenstein.
- KMartSheriff, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4Why would they want to rip off such a ***** movie?
/loves Final Fantasy btw - ldkronos, on 11/10/2008, -0/+4Bullets don't work so well underwater, thus you need something with it's own propulsion (like a torpedo) or you need weapons for close quarters (like the auger you see in the picture).
- divi444, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3Mirror ?
Here it is : http://piratecat.net/?p=248 - bytor4232, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3May the great Peter Boyle rest in peace. I used to watch Raymond just for him.
Puttin on the ritz - dullnation, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3I don't think it'd be too hard to guess that the T-600 is a terminator even with skin on...
- danwallace, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3How doesn't it make sense? They have flying terminators, walking terminators, swimming terminators... why not a fast, ground-based terminator?
"Hey, the resistence fighters fled into that tunnel in vehicles. Let's chase them... slowly... on foot!" - Robotsscareme, on 11/10/2008, -0/+3I wasn't really all that into this movie until i saw these.. Now.. i am pretty amped
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2I said looks like, MORAN
- bytor4232, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2I'm a HUGE Terminator fan, even liked T3. That being said, ever since the first movie I've always wanted to see the world a few years past Judgment Day. Not unnecessary at all.
- lennybird, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2The terminator dropped out of the helicopter and into the thick jungle canopy below. Landing on its feet from a three hundred foot drop, it impacted the ground a foot deep.
Meanwhile, high in the trees, the hunter sighted in on its new prey.
The terminator's sensors detected that three sectors on its exterior slightly raised in temperatures. Calculating transistors led the terminator's process thread to Lasers. It honed in on the angle at which the beams struck its sensors. This was all within fifty milliseconds.
The terminator drew its pistol, whipped around and fired a dead precise shot, as calculable as it could be without taking into account each individual bullet's defects.
The round instantly destroyed the plasma cann.
***** this story. - zadadka, on 11/10/2008, -1/+3Looks as though it could be good.
- vorakthemad, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2I agree with you there. The Star Wars inconsistencies with their technology pissed me off as well.
- SPRFRKR, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2Terminators must LOVE chain guns (gattling guns).
My love for them was sealed in The Predator when Jesse "The Body" Ventura mowed down a forest with one. - RudeTurnip, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2WTF is a mcg?
- bagboyrebel, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1A badass/scary looking machine can be a morale killer for the humans.
- wolfboyZ, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1While I admit it does look cool and all, why would Skynet worry about designing robots that look badass? The first two Terminators at least had designs with practicality in mind without resorting to adding pointy sharp shapes all over the place.
- leerayIG88, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1in Fallout 3, are you able to use vehcicles? Takes forever to go from point a to point b.....
- inactive, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Dag nabbit!
- solid12345, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Bleh, these machines look too advanced and "Matrix-like". I liked the original Terminator where the tank looked like R.O.B the robot by Nintendo and the HK's were simple machines, no streamlined curves made to look "cool", those things were built to kill.
- leerayIG88, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1maybe they do but leaving it as a surprise?
- verynegative, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1***** hell. I thought we were done with that.
- thinboyslim, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1you weren't there at the beginning, you don't know how good it was, how important!
- TommyHigh, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Anyone seen the leaked footage they mention?
All I'm getting is rickrolled and freaks dressed in tinfoil. - thinboyslim, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1Transformers: Rise Of The Remakes
- kalkin, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1ideology, i love films so i hope you're right and i do eat my words next summer. i'd like nothing more than to sit down in front of an amazing new terminator film. i just have very strong doubts at the moment. let's see...
- colsim, on 11/10/2008, -0/+1It looks good but a bad script could bring this all undone. I'll wait and see.
