- spucky, on 10/11/2007, -88/+656Given what we have done with our independence, perhaps it is time to move back in with the parents.
- Shad0wSP, on 10/11/2007, -11/+411maybe she'll take it off to demonstrate independence?
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -101/+442Being British I find that extremely funny and, had I been in the States for Independence Day I would have worn a Union Flag somehow. It's kinda like giving the bird, but less subtle!
- zazzybob, on 10/11/2007, -16/+232I'm from England, and 50% of the population do suck dick. And that's a good thing - trust me.
- djphatjive, on 10/11/2007, -25/+188If we never won our independence we would have Universal Healthcare now.
- kokopelli2001, on 10/11/2007, -9/+159Perhaps she is British.
- rejoined, on 10/11/2007, -14/+149Foot & Ankle Surgeon FTW!
- firedoormatt, on 10/11/2007, -15/+147She must be English, she is the only one that is not obese.
- DirtyWorker, on 10/11/2007, -45/+175How the hell did this ***** get to the front page? Buried for being lame as hell.
- DeadlyBrad42, on 10/11/2007, -7/+90I see what you did there.
- pile0nades, on 10/11/2007, -1/+83The 4th is about the freedom to wear any damn shirt you want.
- rompom7, on 10/11/2007, -4/+77Al3x: I'm not from the US nor England, but being proud of ones own country should not be insulting. I understand July 4th represents the day of independence from Britain, but that does not mean that a person living there should be any less patriotic than you.
I've seen Americans wearing US flag badges on Australia Day. I was not offended, I understood how patriotism comes blindly and is purely based on the country you were born in. I think Australia is the greatest country in the world, and I put up with Americans saying that America is, just as you should put up with me saying Australia is. Of course there is no way to prove it, we can both use stats and figures, but it just comes down to blind patriotism. - JeremyBanks, on 10/11/2007, -19/+89I voted your comment up, but does "white trash" not strike anyone else as racist every time they hear it?
- slicedoranges, on 10/11/2007, -8/+74It's not racism if you're saying it about a white person.
- Area51mafia, on 10/11/2007, -11/+76Riding the DC Metro today I saw 4 people wearing "Canada" shirts. People try to be funny.
Also, the kid on the right as his flag draped on the ground. Growing up in a military family, that'd get my ass whooped. - coheedcollapse, on 10/11/2007, -12/+74Holy friggin crap. That's my hometown. I was at that parade...my sister was in it. Ridiculous seeing it on Digg.
- K3ITHK, on 10/11/2007, -11/+71I'd hit it.
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -11/+67And a nice design, too!
- rhinopig, on 10/11/2007, -0/+521% to 2% are you crazy! That's a 100% increase!
- akh4x0r, on 10/11/2007, -35/+84Oh, but it's okay for an American to wear anything he/she wants where ever he/she wants to...
*runs away* - xstarsprinklesx, on 10/11/2007, -24/+65They're not doing too well either..
- kazamx, on 10/11/2007, -4/+44If you don't include our relationship with America, things are going pretty dam well in the UK.
Overall employment is at an all time high.
We have one of the fastest growing economies in the EU
Crime is lower
Sicko made us realise that the NHS is not as bad as we thought.
We finally got rid of Blair
Inflation is under control
High house prices mean people are able to buy holiday homes in hot countries at record levels.
We won the debate on the Euro, so were not going to be forced in.
National debt is tiny (when compared to America)
The trade devecit is stable (finally)
So what was your point again. I am not saying everything is perfect, but overall things could be a lot worse - bentleyprior, on 10/11/2007, -9/+48The British are coming! The British are coming! The British are coming! The British are coming!
- zonk3r, on 10/11/2007, -4/+42I suppose it is possible she might be English. Just sayin'.
More plausible she's redneck trailer trash though... - thatsmyaibo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+42I would be worried if it was 1776. We are allies now so who cares?!
- kazamx, on 10/11/2007, -3/+41Its also fun to remember that one of the major reasons you declared independence from the UK was that we raised taxes too high. Americans won't pay that much in tax.
We raised tax from 1% to 2% - hibachipenguins, on 10/11/2007, -10/+41seems to me that picture was taken at:
3215 Willowcreek Road
Portage, IN 46368
but, what does google know, eh? - kazamx, on 10/11/2007, -11/+41Americans get too uptight about this sort of thing. One of the things the Brits do best is laugh at themselves. We would have no problem with you wearing that shirt. Although I believe a few people would pity the fact that was the best you could come up with.
Now if you wore a Manchester City shirt in a Manchester United pub, then you would die (no I mean it someone would kill you) - Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -8/+37I get the joke, but the Brits have nearly the same obesity problem that Americans do.
- violentvinyl, on 10/11/2007, -1/+29Clearly it's a viral for Dr. Frederick Fedorchak
- jackalsclaw, on 10/11/2007, -6/+34Maybe she's from Briton, just over here on Holiday to say "We didn't want the American colonies anyway!"
- dbalaski, on 10/11/2007, -1/+26That's fine if the British are coming --- hope they bring beer
- aussiecarlos, on 10/11/2007, -9/+33perhaps you're taking this just a little too seriously? After all your country stands for "Freedom of speech" so I don't see too much of an issue.
- rompom7, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25Seriously cortez_a, I've seen some stupid comments on digg. dumbest. comment. ever.
- NikoKun, on 10/11/2007, -4/+28thank you for that monumental FAIL...
- napalm4095, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23If you had the money to pay for it you can go private and get the treatment you need almost immediately
- zioxide, on 10/11/2007, -1/+24Your logic is flawed.
If we were still part of Britain, we would have fought with them in WWII. It's not like we would have just sat here. - hfactor, on 10/11/2007, -6/+29Why does loving England mean hating America to you, AI3x?
- Klowner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23Where I live, they call those places "gay bars"
- Urusai, on 10/11/2007, -3/+24Hah, part of "freedom of speech" is the freedom to bitch about peoples' bitching. So STFU.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+29NAKED WOMAAAAAAAN!!!!!!
- syntex, on 10/11/2007, -11/+31Or maybe they just don't care... like really how important is it really?
Worry about global warming, justice, corruption, Iraq, Libby...yes
But worry about a Union Jack shirt on the 4Th of July... mmm no... pass - d03boy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+20Uh... quite a damn few? Welcome to reality
- Fortyseven, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22This reasonable common sense thinking will not be tolerated! ;D
- kkush, on 10/11/2007, -15/+34Was that funny.. or did i miss something...
- Silencer7, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21A few years ago our high school band, for some reason, had decided to surprise the crowd with a bunch of upbeat Beatles songs while marching in the Independence Day parade.
My sister was quoted in the newspaper: "Maybe it's in honor of the British invasion." - OldeGregg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+18Thanks for actually using an umlaut
- Archon810, on 10/11/2007, -6/+24Maybe, we're not seeing the full shirt and she's actually Australian? http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-35,GGGL:en&q=australian+flag
- cyklone, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20well Canada Day was on July 1st, maybe they hadn't changed yet?
- mv10, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20Only one way we can prove that you arent lying.. post pics of your sister.
