- cosmikdebris, on 10/11/2007, -101/+442Being British I find that extremely funny and, had I been in the States for Independence Day I would have worn a Union Flag somehow. It's kinda like giving the bird, but less subtle!
- Al3x, on 10/11/2007, -165/+95And if I went to England...I'd wear a "British people suck dick" shirt...it would be funny to you right?
- zazzybob, on 10/11/2007, -16/+232I'm from England, and 50% of the population do suck dick. And that's a good thing - trust me.
- reyalp, on 10/11/2007, -6/+16i had a similar conversation just a couple days ago
Friend: You know, teenage girls really suck.
Me: That's true. But you have to talk them into it.
Friend: Huh?
Me: Or get them drunk. Giggity giggity goo!
Friend: You're going to hell. - greenblob, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Actually, it's more like 51%...
- takamalak, on 10/11/2007, -14/+6Is that including all the gay men in England? Wouldn't it then be around 99%? (margin of error is +/- 1%)
- azAZ09, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7I think your estimate of how many English people suck dick is a bit off.
If you take for granted that most women--yes even most lesbians--will or already have at some point in their lives engaged in oral pleasure. Call it Roughly half the population. Then also factor in for the number of English Men who prefer the company of men--tipping the balance. I think it is safe to say that a vast majority of English people suck dick. - solonGFX, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Uhuh, so that also applies to every other country with gays. Except, America has whole colonies of gay people. So you could say America sucks way more dick than England, I guess.
- azAZ09, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Yes. Factoring for population or linear metrics. The US sucks more dick because there is more to suck. And that's also a good thing.
- reyalp, on 10/11/2007, -6/+16i had a similar conversation just a couple days ago
- DeadlyBrad42, on 10/11/2007, -7/+90I see what you did there.
- bmxboy661, on 10/11/2007, -37/+10I'm from England, and half the people are *****.
at least you don't have chavs.- MrLunar, on 10/11/2007, -6/+5Oh yeah, but the gangs on every street corner more than make up for it.
- SpaceMonkeyZero, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Yeah we do. Here they're called "White Trash"
- senatorpjt, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9A chav is more like a wigger than plain white trash.
- rompom7, on 10/11/2007, -4/+77Al3x: I'm not from the US nor England, but being proud of ones own country should not be insulting. I understand July 4th represents the day of independence from Britain, but that does not mean that a person living there should be any less patriotic than you.
I've seen Americans wearing US flag badges on Australia Day. I was not offended, I understood how patriotism comes blindly and is purely based on the country you were born in. I think Australia is the greatest country in the world, and I put up with Americans saying that America is, just as you should put up with me saying Australia is. Of course there is no way to prove it, we can both use stats and figures, but it just comes down to blind patriotism.- Fortyseven, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22This reasonable common sense thinking will not be tolerated! ;D
- saintdesy, on 10/11/2007, -5/+5I agree with you, except this is a little different than wearing American stuff on Australia Day. Australia was never a colony of America that fought a 7 1/2 year war to get independence from America.
- johnFandango, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2Yeah. But more non-american non-australians think the US is the greatest country in the world than think Australia is the greatest country (anyone?) in the world. Howz that for objective stats
- solonGFX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3John: I believe that they would think their own country was the greatest. Unless of course they were in an impoverished part of an impoverished country..then they still wouldn't say the US was the best, most likely (you realise the rest of the world hates America?). I'd vote for Japan or something in that situation.
- oflaherty, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2what the ***** is Australia day?
- Taorluath, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1you're wrong. America is the greatest country on earth. Period
- BlackAle, on 10/11/2007, -14/+14If you wore that, you'd just look like a dick.
- kazamx, on 10/11/2007, -11/+41Americans get too uptight about this sort of thing. One of the things the Brits do best is laugh at themselves. We would have no problem with you wearing that shirt. Although I believe a few people would pity the fact that was the best you could come up with.
Now if you wore a Manchester City shirt in a Manchester United pub, then you would die (no I mean it someone would kill you)- nobody554, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4The reason some Americans find this offensive is because they believe America is the center of the world. And even though we might be, that's no reason to have a problem with someone wearing a British shirt on American Independence Day
- HolyChimp, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I remember wearing a Manchester United shirt when I went to Liverpool one time with my parents when I was about 7... The abuse I got helped form most of my vocabulary for the next 5 or 6 years :D
- hfactor, on 10/11/2007, -6/+29Why does loving England mean hating America to you, AI3x?
- FatAmerican, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4But wearing the flag on Independence Day suggests more than just "loving England". He actually said it was like giving the bird.
- aposter, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10But the thing is the person in the photo is most likely an American, born and bred, and she has NO CLUE that the union jack is a british flag, or that Great Britain was the country we gained independance from. She just thougt it was a cool red white and blue shirt to wear on the Fourth of July.
- senatorpjt, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Well, maybe it was a deeper comment on how we fought a bitter war of independence against the British but were later able to reconcile our disagreements and have the British become our best friends on the world stage afterwards. Something those who currently decide US foreign policy might think about in these times.
- FatAmerican, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4But wearing the flag on Independence Day suggests more than just "loving England". He actually said it was like giving the bird.
- ninj3, on 10/11/2007, -4/+16I thing someone's in a bad part of their month >_>
Jeez man calm down. It's just a joke. You're taking it too far.
Wearing the UK flag in the US on July 4th has a certain subtle humour to it. Some well adjusted people would laugh, some, like you, would get all patriotic and offended. Wearing a shirt like you suggest would just make you look like a prick to everyone. - cosmikdebris, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3@ Al3x 7
It certainly would. 1) I've got a sense of humour. 2) I'm Welsh! - So by all means go to England. - Septimus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Ahhh, you are that same sort dick with no balls who scowled at us while we were on holiday as we didn't stand up for your national anthem. Uptight tool.
- PaperMonkey, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5Just because it isn't your anthem doesn't mean it doesn't deserve respect. There is far too little respect for other cultures and countries these days. I don't care who you are or what anthem is playing, you stand up and take off your hat (assuming of course you are not wearing a head covering for religious reasons). It pisses me off to see families at baseball games and the parents don't tell their children to take their hats off for the anthems. It's disrespectful. /rant
- alf86, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Agreed. There is no reason one cannot at least stand. When I have been at events in other countries, I have always stood for their anthems. I will not salute their flag, but I will show respect by standing quietly. There is no real reason not to. Besides, it avoids unnecessary conflict. I'm sure that "dick with no balls" (how eloquent you are) had no idea you weren't American when he scolded you, but would it have hurt to show a little respect?
- solonGFX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'd never salute a flag. It's a piece of cloth. It's not like that flag will achnowledge my salute. But then I suppose Brits don't really salute anything.. unless they're in the forces.
- senatorpjt, on 10/11/2007, -4/+5If I went to England, I'd probably wear a shirt with a Canadian flag on it, just to avoid any comments about how much the US sucks.
- zazzybob, on 10/11/2007, -16/+232I'm from England, and 50% of the population do suck dick. And that's a good thing - trust me.
- satx, on 10/11/2007, -37/+18Apples and oranges, Al3x. cosmikdebris' comment was actually funny.
- rompom7, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4zazzybob was funnier.
- djphatjive, on 10/11/2007, -25/+188If we never won our independence we would have Universal Healthcare now.
- stifrontman, on 10/11/2007, -68/+10Yeah, and then when you were 75 and had to go to the hospital, and had the money to pay for it, they could cast you aside and say that because you're old you aren't worth the tax-payers money, and let you die.
- NikoKun, on 10/11/2007, -4/+28thank you for that monumental FAIL...
- napalm4095, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23If you had the money to pay for it you can go private and get the treatment you need almost immediately
- napalm4095, on 10/11/2007, -8/+2WTF double post
- ninj3, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16It never fails to amaze how incredibly ignorant and uninformed some people can be.
We have private healthcare and insurance too. Hence, the best of both worlds. - jspegele, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3"If you had the money to pay for it you can go private and get the treatment you need almost immediately"
Having the money to pay for healthcare doesn't mean you have the money to pay for it twice. Which is exactly what would happen if you were paying the increased taxes for universal healtcare and paying for private healthcare as well.- jbus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1There is no need for tax increases. The taxes we currently pay would pay for our national health care many times over... We'd just need to quit dumping all of our tax dollars into the hands of defense contractors and that war profiteers.
- HairyFotr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6@jspegele: If you go private in an universal healthcare system... you pay once and about 1/10000000 times (the other 9999999 parts are payed for by the other taxpayers).
- kazamx, on 10/11/2007, -3/+41Its also fun to remember that one of the major reasons you declared independence from the UK was that we raised taxes too high. Americans won't pay that much in tax.
We raised tax from 1% to 2%- ninj3, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8I've never heard that before. If it's true, I think it's very funny.
- rhinopig, on 10/11/2007, -0/+521% to 2% are you crazy! That's a 100% increase!
- meatmcguffin, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13The worst part is that the tax raise was to help protect the country from foreign invaders. Irony eh?
- meatmcguffin, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4Argh, the dreaded Digg double post :/
- avihappy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I have noticed there are way more double posts after the new comment system began.
- InfiniteNothing, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9...without representation
- joemofo214, on 10/11/2007, -8/+5someone saw sicko
- judsond, on 10/11/2007, -13/+10But thank goodness we have good healthcare instead :)
- joebaloney, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Wow, apparently wealthy people read digg too. Cause I work for the state and my healthcare is ***** that cost me $800 a month for me and my son.
- Gonz037, on 10/11/2007, -9/+4Maybe, or America as you know it didn't exist, WWII was lost and you would be speaking German right now, all Jewish people would be gone and we would all be driving Volkswagens!!! But maybe you would still have your health care, I am sure it was #2 on Hitlers list of things to get to!
- Andytom, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3The Americans did not win world war two. The main reason Germany lost was because of the massive losses they suffered invading Russia. The only reason we think it is any different is because of the cold war and that it would have been bad properganda to tell kids that Russia was one of the reasons we won WWII.
- Gonz037, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2You baffle me. You reply to a half serious 'maybe' scenario and turn it into a "hey look at me! I watch the history channel!" post. Did you miss the word maybe?
- Fooord, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1The king didn't want America anyways...It was too much money to take care of...Eventually, America would have been independant.
- intangible, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Seriously, there's more pressing issues right now... increasing government size even more so they can screw up healthcare more than they already have while ignoring everything else they've completely screwed up at is very ignorant view of our problems. Perhaps we should get rid of most of the huge cruft in the gov (like the department of homeland security, the drug war, the "war on terror") before we start adding crap back to it...
Oh, and let's drop the scam that is known as the Federal Reserve... then maybe we can afford healthcare and discuss making it universal.
- stifrontman, on 10/11/2007, -68/+10Yeah, and then when you were 75 and had to go to the hospital, and had the money to pay for it, they could cast you aside and say that because you're old you aren't worth the tax-payers money, and let you die.
- cortez_a, on 10/11/2007, -51/+9@diphatjive
Somehow I think you're wrong, If we had never won our independence we'd all be under Soviet control right now, Cause last time I checked Europe wasn't able to fend off Hitlers Army by itself.- zioxide, on 10/11/2007, -1/+24Your logic is flawed.
If we were still part of Britain, we would have fought with them in WWII. It's not like we would have just sat here. - rompom7, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25Seriously cortez_a, I've seen some stupid comments on digg. dumbest. comment. ever.
- ninj3, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Say we assume that America under British rule would just sit by and watch while the war happened (as opposed to getting into the war right from the start and possibly ending it earlier instead of waiting so long).
I still fail to see how losing to Hitler's army would bring us all under Soviet control. I dunno, it just doesn't make sense to me, what with the Soviets being on the allied side during WWII.
Perhaps if the US never existed, the Soviets may have become the dominant superpower after WWII but that's too much speculation. Who knows if the UK would be technologically superior like the US was.
But djphatjive's comment has plausibility in it. If the US was under UK rule, you would have free universal health care.- edebolt, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1and horror movie teeth ;-)
- donnyburnside, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2As opposed to plastic, shiny, unnatural teeth?
- Septimus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Stereotypes ftw you stupid fat burger eating, ***** car driving, gun toting redneck. ;-)
- PaperMonkey, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5I see what you did there.. very clever. Let us forget that the Americans waited until the end to get into the war (I mean.. how selfish to not sacrifice their sons and daughters at the first hint of a war on the other side of the world.) Let us forget that the Canadians made huge sacrifices during both World Wars and were quite instrumental in the victories of both but rarely get the credit because of the lack of Canadian investors willing to back major motion pictures etc. Let us just remember that a group of nations collectively saw a vile hatred and evil being perpetrated on a group of people and said enough. We are not going to accept this, rallied together and stopped Hitler and his Nazis. Allied troops were fighting side by side to stop a mad man. We may have our differences but if everyone takes a minute to think about our histories and works together we could make huge changes in the world today....
- ninj3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Sorry you misunderstand. I'm not saying the US joined late and took the credit. I agree that Britian definitely couldn't handle it on their own. The US and Canada helping out was responsible in great part for the fall of Hitler. I'm just sayin' that if Canada and the US still belonged to the UK, then right from the start Hitler would be facing it all and who knows, maybe the war would have ended even faster but that again is too speculative.
I'm guessing you're canadian? :P
- edebolt, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1and horror movie teeth ;-)
- allywilson, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Also, I think everyone forgets that most (all? besides Gibraltar or something?) British Colonies have gained independance from the UK, with or without a war (India for example). I think the states would have become independant long before WW2.
- zioxide, on 10/11/2007, -1/+24Your logic is flawed.
- firedoormatt, on 10/11/2007, -15/+147She must be English, she is the only one that is not obese.
- patik, on 10/11/2007, -8/+37I get the joke, but the Brits have nearly the same obesity problem that Americans do.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/11/2007, -2/+17Yeah.. according to articles I've read from English papers (yeah, I actually read international news and I'm american), Britain suffers nearly as bad an overweight problem as the US. I think they are 2nd place world-wide, while we are first-place.
- Karmavs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7third, actually. Its spread down to mexico.
but the difference between 30% & 23% overweight is still huge.
(other random stats: there's a inverse correlation between patriotism & obesity rates; & a stronger correlation between obesity & teen pregnancy) - jspegele, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8So you're saying that fat girls get more love? Boggles the mind.
- texpundit, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Yeah...but they gotta pay.
Giggity.
- texpundit, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Yeah...but they gotta pay.
- ninj3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Second place is first place for losers! Come on Brits we gotta eat more!
- Karmavs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7third, actually. Its spread down to mexico.
- CAKochenash, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1show me one governemnt in the world that forces whoppers and big macs on their populations?
- orlyfactor, on 10/11/2007, -14/+7Still feeling the pinch after we beat you guys down 231 or so odd years ago? :D
- cosmikdebris, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13With help from the French. Let's not forget that.
- Solkre, on 10/11/2007, -6/+15We repaid that twice already.
- archiesteel, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Twice? Once. WWII.
American involvement in WWI was marginal, and did not have much of an impact.
Add to that that the US didn't get involved in WWII to help the French, but rather because they had been attacked in Pearl Harbor (and to stop the spread of Fascism worldwide, which threatened the US too). - spudnic, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3And Britain paid a War debt to the USA, which we recently paid back in full. We owe you ***** for your years late help and nuking of populated cities.
- archiesteel, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Twice? Once. WWII.
- Solkre, on 10/11/2007, -6/+15We repaid that twice already.
- cosmikdebris, on 10/11/2007, -3/+13With help from the French. Let's not forget that.
- pile0nades, on 10/11/2007, -1/+83The 4th is about the freedom to wear any damn shirt you want.
- vandy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5we're not prosecuting the lady. more than likely it was worn out of ignorance and generally just for the colors with disregard to its symbol.
- solonGFX, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Yeah you must remember, quite a few American's don't even know that England is a country, or an island, or that we use the pound.. They believe London is a country, or Europe is a country, and that we use the dollar, or "Queen Elizabeth's Money". It's most likely ignorance on her part.
- vandy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5we're not prosecuting the lady. more than likely it was worn out of ignorance and generally just for the colors with disregard to its symbol.
- Chewie67, on 10/11/2007, -19/+10Why is everyone so upset by this? We WON our independence from England. Jump ahead 200 years, and now the UK is our bitch.
Let her wear the shirt. Who cares?- NiX0n, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7Nobody is our bitch. We aren't "America the Super-Country" anymore.
- SecularG, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15They must be somewhere in the south. How many people in that picture have mullets?
- manova, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3It looks like Indiana to me (look at the chair)...plus, I see only one mullet on the fat lesbian in the pink.
- YezSaysMe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5It's in Portage, IN.

I mean that in a good way.
- modpancake, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Geek. :P
- DiggKisser, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Who cares? She probably didn't realize what she was wearing.
- bobbyi, on 10/11/2007, -7/+2Someone should have explained it to her and insisted she take it off.
- leffunov, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Damn you Loyalists!!
- Phinster, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0RULE BRITANNIA! :D
- fullphaser, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Don't worry most American are to stupid to recognize Union Jack, they'd think its just some fancy T-Shirt design. Also this post brought to you by someone born and raised in the Southeastern United States.
- cosmikdebris, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It's the Union Flag, not the Union Jack. Only called the Union Jack when it is on a ship being flown from the "Jack Staff." How'd you like me to refer to the "Stars and Stripes" or "Old Glory" by an incorrect name? It's pretty insulting!
- Gatesophile, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Personally, you could call the US flag whatever you like. It really doesn't matter to me.
/lives in the US - fullphaser, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1What he said, we don't give a damn, call it a tablecloth really. You seem to forget what little respect we American's have for flags. Also wiki list its official nickname as the Union Jack and that is always what I have heard it referred to (even when not in relation to a naval vessel)
- Gatesophile, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Personally, you could call the US flag whatever you like. It really doesn't matter to me.
- FartyMcPooPants, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Well to be fair, I'm english and I live in the states. My office had a casual day on July 3rd, if and I quote 'You wore Red, White & Blue to show your patriotism'
So I did, I wore a very tasteful union jack shirt, and baseball cap. I also handed out tea to everyone in the office. I almost put a sign on each teabag saying 'Tax Free, please don't throw in the harbour' but that would have taken way too much time.
Everyone thought it was all very amusing, and certainly if anyone was offended by my admittedly not too subtle attempt at humour they never complained to me.
So I say congratulations on your independence, and hooray to the people who can take a joke.
- Al3x, on 10/11/2007, -165/+95And if I went to England...I'd wear a "British people suck dick" shirt...it would be funny to you right?
- spucky, on 10/11/2007, -88/+656Given what we have done with our independence, perhaps it is time to move back in with the parents.
- Platysquirrel, on 10/11/2007, -28/+11You win!
- MrTankJump, on 10/11/2007, -42/+26Yea, because England is doing great right now...
- bmxboy661, on 10/11/2007, -12/+5meaning?
- kazamx, on 10/11/2007, -4/+44If you don't include our relationship with America, things are going pretty dam well in the UK.
Overall employment is at an all time high.
We have one of the fastest growing economies in the EU
Crime is lower
Sicko made us realise that the NHS is not as bad as we thought.
We finally got rid of Blair
Inflation is under control
High house prices mean people are able to buy holiday homes in hot countries at record levels.
We won the debate on the Euro, so were not going to be forced in.
National debt is tiny (when compared to America)
The trade devecit is stable (finally)
So what was your point again. I am not saying everything is perfect, but overall things could be a lot worse- MrLunar, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17I'm sorry but the irony in that paragraph is immense, but I agree with all but one thing. You do know that it was Blair that made possible almost all of the things you just said?
- christianw, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7England is doing just fine you wanker
- douglash2005, on 10/11/2007, -11/+2England wounldn't be half of the country that it is without our (U.S.) support.

- bigapple666, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Agreed! You know, watching the fireworks last night, the Star Spangled Banner came on the radio station that was to go along with the show and everyone in my group began singing it. I sang along, but couldn't help but feel the huge conflict of wanting to be proud of my country and seeing it do so many wrong and terrible things. Ultimately I had to settle on the feeling that, at least we have the freedom to ***** everything up for ourselves, and for that I'm greatful.

Strange that the warm beer thing has lasted this long. Anyone who has visited the UK would know that 90% of the pints sold in pubs are largers, Ice cold. - spudnic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I can't help but reply to this comment every time it's made, it's like a compulsion I can't control...
There are certain beers that should be drank at cellar temperature (NOT warm), this is because a lot of taste is smell, and serving it cold ruins the flavour, the same as with red wine.
Pubs in England don't serve warm beer unless it's a specialty beer, which pubs do often get on a 'guest ale' basis, changing which local brew it is every few weeks.
Even some beers that shouldn't are starting to get served at 'extra cold' temperatures. Next time you're over here try a John Smiths extra cold, then try a regular John Smiths. The regular one is far, far better.- RussellDovey, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You've got to remember that in America, it's usually a good idea to suppress the taste of the beer.

- coheedcollapse, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19I've yet run into one person who thinks that. I'd seriously slap someone if they were that stupid directly to my face.
- Scheissen, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Well, britain did hire "Hessian" mercenaries from many German princes.
- stonebear, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5So did the colonies, and with French money too.
- kazamx, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Dam French. At least they got pay back. They thought the Americans would remain loyal friends as the french freed them from the UK. LOL America spits in the face of those who freed them Mwhahahaha, that will teach em to help America.
Hey wait a min, maybe thats why the French hate Americans, hmmmmmmm - myeyesarered, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1the french hate americans?

- JimmyTheClam, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5@potp
I don't think there are any Americans alive not in a coma that would not know it was from GB. When you make up and tell unbelievable lies, it is only YOU that looks like an idiot. - elpottsy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1OK German Crab people
- Comanche, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2All you americans are surprised by these comments? Just shows your own ignorance.

- donnyburnside, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1So you felt the need to post that ***** twice? Double the amount of negative diggs for you, silly!
- djphatjive, on 10/11/2007, -15/+14You what I was thinking. If we never won our independence. We would have Universal Healthcare. Lol
- djphatjive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2You know what is what I meant to say. Sorry.

- zonk3r, on 10/11/2007, -4/+42I suppose it is possible she might be English. Just sayin'.
More plausible she's redneck trailer trash though...- mjkkjm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7You mean "British" - that's the Union Flag of the United Kingdom. Not England.
- spudnic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1She could still be English...
- mjkkjm, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7You mean "British" - that's the Union Flag of the United Kingdom. Not England.
- jlaurin, on 10/11/2007, -13/+10Australian shirt maybe? http://www.csu.edu.au/australia/images/flag.gif
either way why does it matter, we are supposed to be a free country, she should be allowed to wear a damn iraq shirt if she wants
(bury me, for being free)- JeremyBanks, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6...
Bury you for being stupid, maybe?
You're acting like we're saying she shouldn't be allowed to wear it. Of course she should be, it's just unsuitable. - LiveeviL, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Oh yea, blame it on Australians... :'(
- JeremyBanks, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6...
- bouche, on 10/11/2007, -5/+11every day, I feel the need to flag submissions as "ok this is lame". this one did not escape it. I just wish I could flag the poster as lame.
- Silencer7, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21A few years ago our high school band, for some reason, had decided to surprise the crowd with a bunch of upbeat Beatles songs while marching in the Independence Day parade.
My sister was quoted in the newspaper: "Maybe it's in honor of the British invasion."- wilburx, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3what you done said was funny
- plutpwnium, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1And shes been quoted on Digg! o.o
- spudnic, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I'm sure all her life ambitions are now fulfilled.

- slugicide, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4The flags and the stars & stripes 'do rag don't give it away?
- coheedcollapse, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5As useless as it is, I can vouch. I was at the parade taking photos myself...didn't get ths particular woman because i was more near to the end of the parade, but I know as a fact that the 4th of July parade happened today and the only other big parade in the area is on homecoming.
- lookadeez, on 10/11/2007, -7/+6twoo hundred some odd years dude. get over it
- Prathik89, on 10/11/2007, -11/+17This is stupid. Just because she wears a Shirt with the Union Jack on the 4th of July makes her an idiot?
- mastaphoo, on 10/11/2007, -7/+12on America's independence day (from Britain), at an independence day parade.
pretty much, yeah.- queenstarsha, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1it seems like you and the original poster don't miss the humor in wearing such a shirt. true, there's no reference to body odor in such a joke, but for some of us, that's all the more clever.
- RockinRoel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4No, people who wear that on the 4th of July are either:
1. rather dumb
2. quite smart
I choose the second option.- jaymulder, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Maybe she is British....or maybe she didn't think what she put on when she got up like a lot of people.
- mastaphoo, on 10/11/2007, -7/+12on America's independence day (from Britain), at an independence day parade.
