- JD52, on 10/11/2007, -13/+202These people both need to go to jail.
Him for being the ***** that would do such a thing.
Her for trying to minimize what he did by blaming an imaginary entity. - polyGone, on 10/11/2007, -7/+193"Sweet Christian Girl"
Indeed. - pastaq, on 10/11/2007, -5/+169"That was not my husband; my husband is a wonderful father," she said. "Satan was working through his weaknesses."
I guess microwaving children is a common weakness. - Anrkist, on 10/11/2007, -7/+150"(THE LATEST) My Wife and I finally worked out our differences! " - I think he needs to update that.
I wouldn't be surprised if the mother did this and he is covering for her, she seems to blame everything on Satan. I've got no qualms with religion in general but please don't use it to shrug off your own lack of personal responsibilities. - dallen, on 10/11/2007, -6/+136http://www.myspace.com/joshuausar

The Internet can be a creepy beast. - brstilson, on 10/11/2007, -15/+131"Can you PROVE that there is not a Devil? I'm not saying I can prove he does exist, but no one can prove the reverse either."
I believe in invisible pink unicorns, and that the world was created by an invisible Flying Spaghetti Monster. Calling me silly?
Can you PROVE that there are no invisible pink unicorns? Can you PROVE that the world WASNT created by a Flying Spaghetti Monster? I'm not saying I can prove these things exist, but no one can prove the reverse either. - Renton, on 10/11/2007, -7/+105I blame science for it's damned "micro-waves"
- usrlocalbin, on 10/11/2007, -18/+106Kill them both.
I, for one, do not want to live in a world where people who ***** PUT THEIR KID IN THE MICROWAVE are allowed to live with the rest of us. No jail time, no plea for insanity, no saying it was Satan. Please put a bullet in each of their heads and make this place a better world. - Scyth3, on 10/11/2007, -5/+90Since when did Satan use microwave's for inflicting damage on people? I was expecting something a bit more... crucial?
In any regards, both of the parents should be in prison for life. I just hope they don't reproduce further. - zadadka, on 10/11/2007, -7/+91In Soviet Russia, Satan.....nah...never mind...
- PsychoDeli, on 10/11/2007, -10/+89If you blame your crime on the devil, religious punishment is in order, burn them at the stake...or stone them to death, we'll see how long that religious conviction lasts...
- dylan420, on 10/11/2007, -3/+73The Easter Bunny made me put PEEP's in the microwave once...
- Roryking, on 10/11/2007, -3/+68I have to ask, when people say "Satan told me to do it," does anyone ask "WHY WERE YOU LISTENING TO SATAN?" I mean, that's just a really bad idea.
- Osiriscky3, on 10/11/2007, -16/+76I'm the Devil I love METAL
- FreeBadAdvice, on 10/11/2007, -16/+68Perhaps I've been too critical towards this whole Christian thing. I'd love the excuse "Satan made me do it!" in an attempt to be absolved rather than my current excuse "well, honestly, I'm a total *****."
- colinmhayes, on 10/11/2007, -2/+53because people always want to know what will happen to something when you put it in a microwave
- SonicRush, on 10/11/2007, -3/+47Dugg for the most ridiculous headline I've heard in a long long time.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -18/+60Look into any over the top, cruel and want-en atrocity in the world and chances u will find some scripture spouting Nutbar, judging and condemning and punishing and happy killing the innocent while cloaked in the garb of "faith". They preach love, but they practice exclusion. And they display a toxic intolerance to different views.
Religious nuts are the ones most likely to start wars, to murder "because god told me to do it"... to drown their kids in a bathtub "because they were not pure", to smash their kids to death with rocks "because god said he would bring them back to life", to cut the arms off their kids and watch them bleed to death, to drive their car into a lake with their kids inside, to kill their wives and entire families because they weren't "godly enough", they kill to "get satan out", they tortured and burned innocent people (as well as animals) at the stake for centuries. "Believers" also make up aprox. 99.9 of violent prison inmates ,,, and now the "holier than thou" are famous for molesting, raping, torturing, and threatening little children..... etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc... the list goes on and on and on and on and on.
Funny how-- the majority of atheists and agnostics are intelligent, educated, well-rounded, scholarly, non-superstitious, non-threatening, critical-thinking, balanced, emotionally & mentally healthy and socially stable people... who are capable of intelligent debate, and not prone to "magical thinking" (one of the hallmarks of mental illness and psychosis). 9 times out of 10 it's the religious nuts who are the real pathological crackpots.
Wackjobs have NO interest whatsoever in educating themselves or evidence. All they care about is re-affirming their superstitious beliefs of disturbing stories of hell and damnation and devils and eternal suffering and ramming them down the throats of unsuspecting children. This is tantamount to child abuse. These Nutbags should be ashamed of themselves! Educated, rational logical people should not have to tolerate self-prescribed psychotic people. Religious fanatics should be criticized harshly every time they open their dumbazz mouths with that senseless drivel.
I will actively seek to oppose all kinds of theism, particularly evangelical types of religious infection, such as protestant xianity, catholic xianity and that tumor they call islam. These ideological are BAD and need to be answered with good information, propaganda, memetic engineering, door to door if need be.
No violence obviously. Gotta be careful, we're dealing with psychotic delusional fanatics here. Anti-theism needs to use the same memetic tools as the goddists have been using for centuries, just better. More scientificly grounded. - mwosh, on 10/11/2007, -3/+41"Hey Josh, you remember the other day when you asked me what the meaning of 'scapegoat' was?"
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+41now now, let's not judge the husband so quickly. maybe he confused the baby with a hotpocket. happens all the time.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -6/+43"Can you PROVE that there is not a Devil?"
You cannot prove a negative.
Extraordinary claims REQUIRE extraordinary evidence.
i.e. if you believe in Bigfoot, its up to you go to out there and find some evidence, its not our job to prove he does not exist. - CletusJones, on 10/11/2007, -3/+39*****, I thought Satan was busy making the Yankees season so terrible
- dfthd, on 10/11/2007, -34/+70I don't see why it couldn't have been God's fault. He's just as non-existent as the other one.
- colinmhayes, on 10/11/2007, -4/+39Man, ***** satan.
- iRoy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+37Because Satan made them do it.
- darzeecompany, on 10/11/2007, -5/+39"He would never do anything to hurt her. He loves her," she said.
He loves her like he loves popcorn, apparently. He should have at least put some butter on her though, then she might not have burned. - goblindegook, on 10/11/2007, -9/+43"Can you PROVE that there is not a Devil? I'm not saying I can prove he does exist, but no one can prove the reverse either."
No, and it's not the skeptics place to do so because the burden of proof is on those who made and continue to make the claim that these entities are real. Much like the suspect of a crime is innocent until proven guilty, the devil doesn't exist until someone backs up those claims with some hard, incontrovertible evidence. - Manhigh, on 10/11/2007, -5/+36Well if its not obvious that the devil exists, I'd say the burden of proof is on those who claim he does.
- MrEguy, on 10/11/2007, -24/+53Religious fanaticism + Mental Illness = Horrible ***** like THIS
Of course, one could argue that religious fanaticism IS a mental illness... and believe that religion, in general, is the greatest poison of all mankind (as I do). - Clockwork0range, on 10/11/2007, -4/+32What a dumbass.
Everyone knows that dead babies can't tap on glass. - Error601, on 10/11/2007, -3/+31The mentally unstable tends to redirect blame. It's like blaming FEMA when you screw up.
- hbweb500, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28From his myspace : "I'll try anything once as long as it seeems reasonable"
Evidently that includes cooking babies. - hgb5150, on 10/11/2007, -1/+26At least she's not blaming a video game.
- maskedm564, on 10/11/2007, -8/+33Ah yes religion at work.
- Sanchez, on 10/11/2007, -6/+29Gregory House: "Isn't it interesting, that religious behaviour is so close to being crazy we can't tell them apart?"
- harrier666, on 10/11/2007, -5/+27Same dif.
Psychosis or Religious Nut Symptoms? You decide.
* loss of touch with reality
* seeing, hearing, feeling, or otherwise perceiving things that are not there (hallucinations)
* unfounded fear/suspicion
* mistaken perceptions (illusions)
* false beliefs (delusions)
* disorganized thought and/or speech
* emotion is exhibited in an abnormal manner
* extreme excitement (mania)
* confusion
* depression and sometimes suicidal thoughts - signal15, on 10/11/2007, -2/+24>I wouldn't be surprised if the mother did this and he is covering for her, she seems to blame everything on Satan. You bring up an interesting theory. I bet if you went back and looked at the percentage of crimes which involved mother->child, you would see that it greatly outweighs father->child harm. - eatsushi, on 10/11/2007, -8/+29The evidence of religion being stupid and useless is growing exponentially!
- Misaiato, on 10/11/2007, -21/+41@retral - sick bastard.
- RAEP, on 10/11/2007, -12/+32lol Christians
- undersky, on 10/11/2007, -5/+25let me get this straight: i thought microwave oven rotate (and create fiction and thus heat) ALL MOLECULES within the water part of the object in the oven... since the human body is mostly water, including eye ball, lung, stomach, wouldn't the infant suffer more than the reported superficial burn?
I always wonder what is the effect of a microwave oven on a person like....can someone please clarify this for me? - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -8/+28don't digg retral down, satan made him say it
- polyGone, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21Evil is objective.
There is no boogeyman running around making people do things. Someone made it up. You do realize there are a ridiculous amount of books added to and subtracted from the bible? It is a collection of fables from people who could not understand the natural phenomena around them. - alevel27mage, on 10/11/2007, -4/+23Well, religious debate aside, she should know that Satan, being an angel and not God, is not omnipotent, omniscient, or omnipresent. So saying that Satan went and targeted this one person is slightly rediculous.
Unless the baby is the Last Scion... Oh God. - rasterbator, on 10/11/2007, -1/+19"She is hoping to be reunited with her daughter, but Child Protective Services is working to have her and Joshua Mauldin's parental rights severed. A custody hearing for the infant is scheduled for later this week in a Galveston district court."
Sounds like they are both a couple of nut jobs. He needs a cell; she needs a padded one. I hope the child can still have a normal life, and that their relatives are not as screwed up as they are. - griz, on 10/11/2007, -7/+25Well, I guess they will both get their chance in hell to find out if "The devil made me do it".
- AttackingHobo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+22What the ***** man, that's twisted as *****. Do you realize how much pain and suffering those peeps... MMM melted marshmallows...
- bushawa, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20If you are going to quote Chris Rock quote him right!
"I take care of my kids! ...What do ya wanna cookie? You're SUPPOSED to take care of your kids!" - Chris Rock -
