- DaDrake, on 01/01/2009, -1/+342Got to give the guy credit.
- Niemer, on 12/31/2008, -4/+250I've always kind of wanted to try this, I'm glad I didn't.
- mysticalone, on 01/01/2009, -7/+223He would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those damn kids and their pesky dog too.
- inactive, on 01/01/2009, -1/+204Creativity win. Implementation fail.
- Noooooooooooooo, on 01/01/2009, -2/+192My former friend did something like this once, only dumber. He had cocaine in his car and when he was about to be pulled over for speeding he thought it would be a good idea to call 911 and make something up more urgent at another place close by. So he calls 911 and says "There's a house being robbed!" and gives the address. The police car, of course, sped off to that location and when he drives back to his house there are cop cars in front of it....the dumbass gave his own address for some reason...and one of the cops recognized his car and you can figure out the rest...
- Bukowsky, on 12/31/2008, -3/+137interesting strategy.
- fajitamelt, on 01/01/2009, -0/+103So why isn't he your friend anymore?
- RSS14, on 01/01/2009, -2/+105This reminds me of the time my friend's cousin crashed his car into a tree. He left the vehicle, ran away, and called 911 to inform them that someone had stolen his vehicle.
Due to his quick thinking, he received insurance money.
<_< - iHeartCamels, on 12/31/2008, -2/+97Haha, clever idea but obviously they will trace it to his phone number and address.
- 12916studios, on 01/01/2009, -2/+72He should have told them it was a robbery at a donut shop. No cop in their right mind would have kept following him then.
- infernal6, on 01/01/2009, -1/+67Meddling?
- Aurabolt, on 01/01/2009, -12/+63"Officer's determined that the man was a felon and not allowed to possess a firearm."
Who the *****... Associated Press? Really?!
2009 - grammar is obsolete and no one gives a ***** anymore!
I weep for the future of humanity, even more so if I get buried... - Rally603, on 01/01/2009, -0/+49Probably because he's in jail. That would be a tough relationship to maintain.
- AriaStar, on 01/01/2009, -2/+51Props for trying such a ballsy move.
- DangQuesadilla, on 01/01/2009, -4/+49That took a ***** of intelligence.
- Cglass, on 01/01/2009, -6/+49And thanks to ***** like your friend and friend's cousin, all of our insurance premiums go up and up and up =)
Thanks again. - blackmoth, on 01/01/2009, -1/+43You mixed up Scooby Doo and The Wizard of Oz...kinda.
The Scooby of Oz? The Wizard of Doo? - SierraAlpha, on 01/01/2009, -2/+44All I can say is... Sham WOW!
- Poweroft, on 01/01/2009, -2/+38applause
- ZeeZee2k, on 01/01/2009, -1/+34Murdering people with a chainsaw? I'm sorry but that doesn't sound like a black guy.
- synapz, on 01/01/2009, -1/+34Cash-bought throwaway cellphone?
- MrBogard, on 01/01/2009, -1/+33If you call in the next 20 minutes.... because I can't do this all day....
- CoD4, on 01/01/2009, -0/+32my friend got a few bags from the dealer and after the dealer left he parked his car a few blocks away and started to hold the bags up against the map light to see the count and a detective saw him from far away and bagged him
- NoTiG, on 01/01/2009, -1/+31I'm sure he will get some cigars in prison if you know what I mean
- Pinkertinkle, on 01/01/2009, -0/+28If he had had a prepaid cell phone he'da been off the hook. Other than the whole gun in his car thing.
- inactive, on 01/01/2009, -0/+27your name is "thetedster" and you're calling me a fag? really?
- inactive, on 01/01/2009, -0/+27And by getting cigars you mean, ***** in the ass, if you know what I mean.
- travcm, on 01/01/2009, -1/+27Story doesn't add up completely: "The man's plan seemed to work at first when the officers cut off their chase to answer the call. But then other officers in the area followed him into a parking lot and saw a gun in his car." Are they saying that for a brief period he wasn't being followed at all? How were the other officers in the area able to relocate him?
- ryan83189, on 01/01/2009, -0/+26...I'll double your prison sentence
- Noooooooooooooo, on 01/01/2009, -2/+27"Close, but no cigar"
- replaysMike, on 01/01/2009, -0/+25Give that man a ticket for possessing balls of steel.
- KingGorilla, on 01/01/2009, -0/+24I'm glad he did it for me
- inactive, on 01/01/2009, -1/+24Either the cop had some hell of a vision for seeing that gun, or the guy is a complete retard and had it hanging out the back.
I'm going with the latter. - hasansexy, on 01/01/2009, -0/+22No words...
- jsjphoto, on 01/01/2009, -4/+25Buried for being a three paragraph blurb. Another lame story from a 'power user'.
And BTW here's the original article.
http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20081231/BREA ... - fajitamelt, on 01/01/2009, -0/+20And by ***** in the ass, you mean raped my a big black guy who's been in prison for the last fifteen years for murdering three people with a chainsaw and who hasn't had any sexual contact with a girl for that long so he has to take it out on you, if you know what I mean.
- thetedster180, on 01/01/2009, -0/+19of course it happened in florida
- mrsteveman1, on 01/01/2009, -3/+22Dumbass would be "look piggies, theres a guy being robbed!" and point across the street expecting them to leave.
This guy thought through it enough to call 911, report a crime that would have drawn the officers away from him, right in the area. Quite smart really. - treytravis, on 01/01/2009, -0/+18wow that sucks
- rpieszak, on 01/01/2009, -0/+18He wouldn't share his cocaine
- dboy3587, on 01/01/2009, -0/+16if he lured the cops away for a moment, why didn't he hide the gun or something to that nature
- Bauer22, on 01/01/2009, -1/+16"Hi, this is Mike's phone. I'm in an high speed chase right now and since I don't have AT&T, I can fake a robbery via my phone . Remember, visitation hours are between 1 and 3 PM on Saturdays."
- Eezyville, on 01/01/2009, -0/+14He should have *67 it.
- Nabukadnezar, on 01/01/2009, -2/+15because you could go to jail for lying to the police?
- Mizzark, on 01/01/2009, -2/+15That could definately be a cellphone commercial
- Incomp3tnt, on 01/01/2009, -5/+17Still, you pay the money each month, why miss the opportunity to claim some of it back?
- the2989, on 01/01/2009, -5/+17applesauce
