- ers35, on 10/11/2007, -3/+71Slightly inaccurate. He was not trying to escape. It seems he just wanted to catch up on some sleep and found the roof to be the best place.
- slayerab, on 10/11/2007, -4/+69I guess the story got lost in translation somewhere between India and Yahoo news
- DeskFlyer, on 10/11/2007, -3/+61"A groggy Gaji seemed surprised when he found himself surrounded by guards pointing rifles at him"
Out of all places I would probably be surprised by being surrounded by guards pointing rifles at me, a prison would not be one of them. ;P - shadowmoose, on 10/11/2007, -0/+46Why do the most interesting news stories always contain the least amount of information.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+33the press call it dramatisation
normal people call it lies - anagoge, on 10/11/2007, -1/+24I've got such a great story. It's about

- autopilotoff360, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15And here we have the plot for 'Prison Break, Season 3'
- str3ama, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14or maybe the guy sleepwalked the previous day..I can't think why anyone would willingly sleep on the roof in India, since during the daytime you would be directly under the sun.
- iownsomuch, on 10/11/2007, -6/+18@ ers35
I disagree. When a prisoner is "missing", that's called an escape. He escaped from the prison to sleep. - gleipnir, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Well, looks like he accomplished his goal, then. 24 hours should've been plenty of time to catch up.
I agree with the "slightly inaccurate" comment, though - you can argue semantics and say it was "technically" an escape, but as far the article states, he didn't have any intention of actually leaving/deserting the building. From the headline, you'd think he's some dumbass who had actually broken free and then decided to turn around and take a nap on the roof before actually leaving. - Palmtop, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11He was still escaping, though
- Crazymaniacc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Bollywood's prison break
- aapala, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Yeah... I'm gonna go ahead and say that if you're still in prison, you've not escaped.
- okie4life, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7THIS JUST IN: Prison officials are giving sleeping pills to inmates now to thwart escape. Apparently it works!
- addiggt, on 07/06/2009, -2/+7@ lhnz
Sorry for "lying" but I have to agree with "iownsomuch". I consider it an escape if he got away from the prison guards without them noticing. - Netrilix, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6But is "in the prison" really the same as "on the prison"? :-P
Seriously though, he was not confined by any bars, the guards didn't know where he was, etc. I'd call it an escape, regardless of whether or not he decided to actually leave the area. - WebCester, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5The sad part is that that's entirely plausible. I watched the entire first season and part of the second before I realized that it's a horrible, horrible show. Yeah, I'm slow on the uptake.
- KaptainKandy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+8I think my girlfriend told me that people sleep or hang out on their roofs in India. Why he would remain anywhere near the prison after escaping is beyond me...
- ostracize, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Catching up on sleep...like a true teenager
- nudedos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2He needs his 10 hours of sleep and figured without the light bulbs he was safe.

- vawksel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2He didn't escape from the prison, he is still within the prison walls (on an x,y axis).
He only escaped from his jail cell...
If he had continued to try to escape from PRISON then he'd probably of been shot in the back on his way out by a tower guardsman. - ortucis, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2You mean the people at the top floor ACTUALLY sleep or walk on their roof?
*GASP* *SHOCK* *HORROR* *ROOF WALKERS* - P4NNY, on 10/11/2007, -2/+324 hours to find him on the roof of the prison? That long?

- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Using "seems" isn't really a good way to correct somebody.
- azAZ09, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Inaccurate --Escaping is more than just getting outside the walls. He didn't even make it off the building
- munky100, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2if he could get ON the roof, why not jump OFF it and go to sleep, say, in a motel where he had his freedom? idiot
- haterofps3, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Really if I was a guard I would be pissed, the prisoners feel your ineffective and feel they can come and goes as they please.
Someone is getting fired for sure - xerus, on 10/11/2007, -9/+5I wonder if he had this whole plan tattooed to his body.
- Sil369, on 10/11/2007, -8/+4Great, now Paris is going to try the same thing to escape. Let's hope she jumps instead...
