- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -2/+30"Police said the man was riding with a police officer in a squad car when he offered the officer free sub sandwiches if he could go home"
Turned down a free subway sandwich? That cop really stuck to his guns! - yourmanstan, on 09/04/2008, -0/+25that's not bribery; its being really, really, drunk
- AmyVernon, on 09/04/2008, -0/+24did you actually correct the spelling of a made-up phrase?
- mhuggins, on 09/04/2008, -2/+26UM? It's OM.
http://www.omnomnomnomnomnom.com - madmondo, on 09/04/2008, -1/+24It was the Broodwich.
- scooterbaga, on 09/04/2008, -4/+24I find it odd that a man who is in the process of getting in trouble for the inability to make responsible decisions... i.e. Intoxicated, and can't drive properly... Gets into more trouble for a minor irresponsible decision.
Where's the justice here? The cause is the same, the dude is too drunk. But they can keep tacking on punishments for what's essentially the same issue. There's really poor logic in that. I guess the guy didn't get charged for it, but I can totally see it happening in a similar situation.
I suppose it's right up there with expecting people to go limp and docile when you attack them. Nevermind that deep-seeded fight or flight reflex, that we all learn about in elementary school. - inactive, on 09/04/2008, -0/+20at least he offered something real, i told the cop good things will happen to you if you let me go
- basye, on 09/04/2008, -4/+23Amazingly, not from Floriduh!
- madeingermany, on 09/04/2008, -0/+19now if that guy had worked at Dunkin' Donuts...
- SeekerDarksteel, on 09/05/2008, -0/+15He turned down a sandwich?! That's dumb. What happens the next time he's in a firefight and needs a quick 120 hp?
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -2/+16lol , you can say that again ,.
if i were the police officer , i'd took that sandwich and arrest the man too ;)
*Feeding Frenzy* - HookmasterCH47, on 09/04/2008, -1/+14Add some Sun Chips and we've got a deal!
- noahgelman, on 09/05/2008, -1/+13Well played
- guhpol, on 09/04/2008, -1/+12The policeman looked that hungry? They don't feed police?
- xs11ax, on 09/04/2008, -1/+12"if i were the police officer , i'd took that sandwich and arrest the man too "
see how power corrupts!!!!!!! - cl2yp71c, on 09/05/2008, -2/+12He didn't see the "Don't feed the pigs" sign.
=/ - upick, on 09/04/2008, -0/+8maybe next time he'll use sandwiches to pay of his parking fines too
- MasterGrief, on 09/05/2008, -0/+7THE BROODWICH

Om Nom Nom Nom Nom - linagee, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4who gets to be in the middle?
- bloodomen13, on 09/04/2008, -0/+3It was... A pulled pork sandwich!
- Bisquick, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3Your detractors obviously don't play TF2.
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -1/+4newsworthy? No. Diggworthy? Yes. Why? Because many diggers are a bunch of lame retards who find nearly anything amusing.
- linagee, on 09/05/2008, -0/+3Bacon is extra.
- cIue, on 09/05/2008, -1/+4I go to school here in Iowa City and i've totally purchased Jimmy Johns from this Mark Anthony Booth. Clearly Booth is product of our ass reaming of Maine, (43-3) and as a result karma has produced an all morning/all night drinking binge that shames our beloved vendor of JJ's. Touche Maine, Touche.
GO HAWKEYES
AND SCREW YOU MAINE - KingGorilla, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2are you some kind of evil villain?
- Kristijan12, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Joey Tribbiani would have accepted the bribe.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -1/+3"please let me go....I make you f****ing sandwich!"
- jrskblx125, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2well i suppose if you got a 100% of going to jail for a DUI... may as well have some fun doin it?
- scooterbaga, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2No, I said minor. It's pretty obvious heinous crimes should be dealt with.
Anything that directly results from the given crime in a minor way shouldn't be punishable.
Like if you're caught ***** after hours in a public pool. They should only be able to charge you with one crime. Instead, they're likely to charge you with trespassing, indecent exposure, etc.
Your mom is hot, and the fines were worth it. But, law enforcement shouldn't be able to tack on every law that applies just cause they can think of it. Justice shouldn't rely on the pissyness of the law enforcing party. - AlienMushroom, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2I bribe my mayor with oxygen every day.
- groo68, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2yeah id eat the man and arrest the sandwich too.
- Bisquick, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Very amusing, dugg.
- Smokeydabear, on 09/04/2008, -2/+4It's nice to see that they didn't further charge him with bribing an officer of the law, in addition to his drunken driving offense, making this a quirky "crazy drunk people" story. Sometimes police try to hang every conceivable offense on a person, just to ***** do it.
- apena89, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2the way to a man's heart is through is stomach.
- mattyohe, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2He works (worked?) at Jimmy John's. Evidently mentioned that "nobody would find out."
http://www.press-citizen.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article ... - xavier2010, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Just dont eat the sundried tomatoes!!!!
- pak314, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2The policeman had reportedly said "sudo make me a sandwich" before being offered the bribe.
- KingGorilla, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2or Germany
- U2groupie, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Some of us don't read MSN.com or Yahoo.
- Rivetgeek, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2no but if you break into a store to steal stuff they shouldnt also be able to get you for trespassing
- inactive, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Why did I have to take the bait and click on that?
Now I need to cleanse my eyes with some proper porn. - GorfTron, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2with $300 in the hole.
