- Lane, on 11/22/2007, -0/+51I am comfortable with my own nakedness its just everybody else who isn't sigh.
- holeymoley, on 11/22/2007, -0/+45I would be comfortable with my own nakedness too except I live in Canada, so I need a coat.
- iCallShotgun, on 11/22/2007, -0/+29Might as well get naked too while we're at it.
- radicaldementia, on 11/22/2007, -0/+22...
Ok, moment over, get back to work. - artsyave, on 11/22/2007, -0/+21I seem to fall into the pattern of constantly living in the future, running after that next goal or achieving that next task on my never-ending list of Todos. Let’s take this moment to slow down, just for a few minutes.
- iyazell, on 11/22/2007, -0/+17The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play.
His labor and his leisure.
His mind and his body.
His education and his recreation.
His love and his religion.
He hardly knows which is which.
He simply pursues his vision of excellence
in whatever he does leaving others to decide
whether he is working or playing. To him he
is always doing both. - ZenMojo, on 11/22/2007, -1/+16Children aren't exactly uninhibited. Actually, some of their worst attributes is that they're easily frightened, prone to lying and exaggeration, and extremely aggressive. They also lack a moral compass and respond little to anything but overt punishment.
Cute, but for all of their pleasant attributes, there are some things that adults just do better than children. If you want a purely sweet and harmless creature, model your life after a puppy instead.... - zumpiez, on 11/22/2007, -1/+15"You were once shoved headfirst through someone's vagina. Why are you acting so dignified?"
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+13Spent 9 months trying to get out, the rest of your life trying to get back in?
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+12***** yourself is one of life's simpler pleasures, you should try it.
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+12Babies are only happy because they know not of the horrors of the world in which they've just been forced into, and without their permission. Everything changes with age.
- ripple123, on 11/22/2007, -2/+11Sounds like a bunch of feelgood *****
- jbrown101st, on 11/22/2007, -1/+9Ooh, that will look real nice. A middle-aged man skipping through the park...
"Run. If there’s one thing that children are good at, it’s running around (or skipping). They seem to have a never-ending supply of energy. Find a park and try for yourself." - DirtySnachez, on 11/22/2007, -0/+8Thanks, dugg up for sane thinking rather than knee-jerk cuteness.
- rjosal, on 11/22/2007, -0/+8It's a good thing the people who are sigh are comfortable with it, otherwise you'd be all alone.
- fussbucket, on 11/22/2007, -1/+8Inaccurate. Most of my hatred, bitterness and cynicism stems from my disappointing childhood.
- superdoofus, on 11/22/2007, -1/+8cynicism is a warm blanket?
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+6We should all be so lucky as to find a warm blanket.
- Nougat, on 11/22/2007, -1/+6I was a c-section.
- londubh, on 11/22/2007, -0/+5Does that include complimentary breastfeeding?
- Velirno, on 11/22/2007, -0/+4Pretty good read. Makes me glad I know a girl that can get me to act like a child without feeling bad about it :)
- ell0bo, on 11/22/2007, -0/+4Oddly enough, most of my never ending Todos involve getting naked.
- Farmgal123, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3Obviously, you didn't read it. The article expounds on the many benefits of being 'naked' of your inhibitions, stress, worries, etc. It's good stuff. You really should read it.
- shinythings, on 11/22/2007, -1/+4"We get so caught up in the hectic race of everyday life that we forget that we are here to experience joy, to experience Life."
So let's get naked? Gotcha! - meachen, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3I'm gonna throw a tantrum at the pub and see what happens...........your supposed to fill it to the TOP!!!
- KingKudos, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3Is... Is it weed?
- smek2, on 11/22/2007, -0/+3"We forget to smile and enjoy the beauty of the present moment." -- while that may be true, the reality isn't that simple. What is usually completely forgotten is the fact, that ones life cycle is determined by (not only but at a basic level) genes and hormones. As we grow into adulthood your whole metabolism changes. And that actually influences a whole lot of our behavior. Do you think free will actually makes us become interested into the opposite sex (or the same sex in some cases)? No it is puberty and the release of certain horomones. Ask women about how metabolism changes their life cycle. And i'm not only referring to pregnancy. So what's my point? My point is, that sadly becoming a more serious adult is part of our life cycle. The whole Man/Woman debacle in all its cliched glory is one prime example. Before puberty, everything seems to easy and innocent, because program for the hunt for sexual partners is not yet active. My point is, yes we should take care of the child in us and not let this harsh, only on work oriented world take away all the fun of living. But certain changes are natural and are even necessary.
- MikeFallopian, on 11/22/2007, -8/+10Babies are constantly crying and ***** themselves. I for one am quite happy that I have progressed past that stage of life, and have no desire to revisit it.
- skyfire1, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2You're a idiot for posting your picture here. Anytime someone sees you IRL they will beat the ***** out of you.
- slunktoday, on 11/22/2007, -1/+3Buried for misleading title.
Nothing to encourage people around me to be naked. - romistrub, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2Jesus Christ, you're worse than JamesSpaza... eugh...
- sharkd, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2Buried for the use of " 'butt' naked."
It's "buck" naked, morons. - inactive, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2FTA: Delight - Children are full of wonder and delight. They are amazed at and enjoy the little things.
Well there you go, if everyone in the world took on this principle outlined in the article, probably 85% of the Digg population wouldnt be so uncomfortable being naked. - Merrick178, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2"What did you enjoy doing as a child? Did you jump rope? Ride your bike? Climb a tree? Watch a trail of ants? What’s stopping you from enjoying those simple things now? Give your childhood pastimes a try."
I saw my neighbor Mr. Herur doing this and thought he was creepy, guess he's just a Digger. :o - jaygee, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2If you want to be uninhibited, present in the moment, full of wonder and delight, & with strong emotion you should just drink beer. Kids are like drunk adults.
- jiveturkeyblues, on 11/23/2007, -0/+1i live in the moment all the time. i can't ***** help it. its definitely not blissful. "the moment" can suck. i wish i had more foresight into the future. :(
- Thornhilll, on 11/23/2007, -0/+1I have some hot rags, if you want those.
- callmeslut, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1great insight!
- mattxb, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1I dont think "full of wonder" describe being drunk at all
- Patrickdnj, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1Why don't you have a seat over there.............
- logic, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1Ecstasy. No, really.
- getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -0/+1Calm me crazy, but I think I'll pass.
- phazon88, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1I think the only way you will get away with being like this is if you're drunk.
- h4ppydotcom, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1You've kind of hit the nail on the head - kids don't care what other people think of them and so (according to the author) lead happier care-free lives. Adults are always concerned what people will think about them, so are unable to act in ways that might actually provide them the most benefit and pleasure.
- rockwellpa, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1Nice comment :)
- davids1, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1Who's life? Where?
- Manuelmty, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1so you didn't get "the letter that Johnny Walker read"
- Acidictadpole, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1Yeh, the snow put a damper on those plans >.>
- isolino, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1What no pics. No digg
