We call 911 all the time, like "help, my wife is very sexually frustrated, and she's taking it out on me". We buy those prepaid cellphones using cash so they can't trace us. Right after the call we tie phone to a few balloons and release them into the wind (hence why we can't play this game until it's windy).

As horrible as this was, at least being handcuffed when the cops broke in helps put the woman as the perp. My god, that must have been crazy. Hard bites would be agony. My thoughts would be when will she drive a stake into my chest. At that point, I would be seriously questioning whether or not I will live to see the cops.

He probably should have pretended that he missed her and asked to find a judge to re-marry her. At least, he would have to get out of the room and then he could make a break for it. In a kidnapping scenario like this, you have to think of how to get them to let you go. A good line of BS would have been a useful tool. Obviously, telling her you do not love her and that there is nothing that can be said to change that would not be wise. She certainly couldn't fit her head between the crack of the door to bite him and it'd be easier than holding her down till the cops came. Plus leaning against the door leaves both hands free to make 911 calls easier.
