- MookiBlaylock, on 07/26/2008, -6/+302I like the idea. We should swap out the soldiers in Iraq with fake ones.
- kowcun, on 07/26/2008, -7/+233Why are people saying its ridiculous? Don't they know deception can be a big part of warfare?
- Serphyas, on 07/26/2008, -2/+102Scarecrows aren't just for the birds anymore, huh.
- Junkey, on 07/27/2008, -0/+91They should have drawn a meaner face on the dolls, and given them beards.
- hdar3415, on 07/27/2008, -0/+89They could have made them look a little more real, and set them on top of a record player so they moved.
- Renster84, on 07/27/2008, -13/+98F*** you, 2 of best friends where killed by fake puppet guards
- aresef, on 07/27/2008, -0/+80Most misleading headline of the day.

- datr, on 07/27/2008, -0/+42Don't ask. Don't tell.
- HeaveN, on 07/27/2008, -4/+45That's not a Dummy!!! That's my friend Ming-Chang!
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -0/+39I recommend McCauley Caulkin for the job.
- Quicksilver4648, on 07/27/2008, -0/+35^^^ Home Alone did it perfectly. ^^^
- SpiritOfRock, on 07/27/2008, -0/+32This is not a laughing matter, guys! Somewhere, some evil, mad scientist has gotten his hands on a death ray that turns people into stuffed animals, and he's been using it on a base in Taiwan! Digg this article fast, alert the media!
- appleseed1234, on 07/27/2008, -2/+32Fake you, 2 of my best friends were ***** by killer puppet guards.
- moviscop, on 07/27/2008, -5/+34I thought this had to do with a new hot female officer on duty. I was very upset to find it wasn't.
But I mean, have you ever seen a manikin and just wanted to ***** it? - BossKey, on 07/27/2008, -0/+18that's not what the article title meant by "stiff"
- inactive, on 07/27/2008, -0/+17It is a decoy, the real soldier is camouflaged as the lamp post.
- MacTyler, on 07/27/2008, -2/+19are there fake puppet guards in crysis?
- Shawnshank, on 07/27/2008, -1/+19I'm offended that this article uses the word "dummies" to describe Canadians.
- sTiKyt, on 07/27/2008, -4/+20they already do
- Yusami, on 07/27/2008, -3/+19Deception yes, but they could have at least assigned one person there to use a pully system to move the scarecrows around. Even at 300ft that'd look convincing enough to most civis.
- expatcatalyst, on 07/27/2008, -1/+16Been done for years and is considered an art with airplanes.
- auricomnet, on 07/27/2008, -2/+17I'm getting ***** by two puppet guard AS WE SPEAK!

- AlexDenne, on 07/27/2008, -1/+16Can't say i have really, you might need therapy mate
- slinky317, on 07/27/2008, -0/+15They look like the "autopilot" from Airplane.
- gasoline, on 07/27/2008, -0/+13Not only vehicles - there were inflatable fuel depots, warehouses, HQs. Allies even had units that operated loudspeakers. These units drove near the frontline and started playing tank and airplane engine noise.
- michaelrsa, on 07/27/2008, -0/+13I know this is Taiwan, but I do know that in South Korea there has been significant problems for them with getting enough soldiers with their population slowly declining due to due fewer child births. They've apparently started to invest heavily in military robotics to compensate for their shortage, with North Korea having an significant military they can't afford to let their military dwindle.
- Kanten, on 07/27/2008, -1/+13Patton used inflatable tanks, planes and landers prior to D-Day, I'm sure people today would have called it ridiculous.
- DavidinBoston, on 07/27/2008, -1/+13If they stay stiff for more than four hours, I'm pretty sure the commercial says they should contact their doctor.
- profitimo1, on 07/27/2008, -0/+10This article just blows my mind. hahaha

- RHA0, on 07/27/2008, -2/+9arr rook same!
- Braxo, on 07/27/2008, -0/+8At least they didn't try to photoshop them into the base.
- rald84, on 07/27/2008, -1/+8thats true. they could make mock-ups of nuclear missiles to scare off china. either that or touch off WW3.
