- norman619, on 01/10/2008, -0/+2I thought the school's job was to educate our kids not dictate what they can and can't eat and over rule the parent's choices. They are over stepping their bounds in a big way. WTF?!

- Dhalsim007, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1Innaccurate: "Parents can pack anything they want in their kids' lunch, but they've all received the school's wellness policy that encourages them to go for healthy snacks. "
- mdwhite, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1Given the state of the country's pathetic educational system, I would have hoped that they'd have put as much energy into teaching the kids how to read and write.
- arcticJKL, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1The article title is wrong. It should read,
"Greenwich, Conn. School Stops Selling Desserts"
The school is not banning desserts, it will no longer sell them. Loving parents who make their kids lunches can still pack whatever they want. If my kid went there I would pack an extra dessert for him to sell! - migtex1234, on 01/10/2008, -0/+1Nanny state - rules. More & more telling people what they can & can not do. This trend needs to be stopped. Surely, they have more to do than to worry about food. silly bunch
